Got quoted £2.4k for a 1.6 fiesta with a telematics box. Waited for it to arrive for nearly two weeks all while I got threats of cancelling my insurance after calling them multiple times, explaining that it is a problem on their side (have not received the box).
Shortly after, I got called up for allegedly giving the wrong DoB by 1 year older, which is impossible because I have all my details saved correctly on my GoCompare account... The man on the phone told me it is going to cost an extra 820£ to change the DoB "excluding admin fees" or whatever that means (plus 300£ extra excess???).
When I asked about cancellation at that moment, they mentioned the base cancellation fee, understandable. Then they mentioned the additional telematics box fee of 150£, and after explaining that I have not even received it after this long period they told me the policy states that I'd have to cancel within "7 days".
Insurance in the UK is a total scam, especially for younger drivers, however all these fees are just ridiculous, expecting a university student with a part time job to pay all these crazy prices.

Can’t fault it! I’ve been with them for over a year now, just had my renewal a month or two ago and it went down £30 a month, from about £115 to £80!! to say I was over the moon is an understatement! I’ve only had my licence will be 3 years in June so a fairly new driver, 20 years old, and a lot of other companies do take the mick with pricing for young drivers but must say, wise driving have been very fair and again I’m just so pleased with my renewal! Thankyou so much, especially as I’ve just brought my first home the lowered renewal has helped so much!

Easy straight forward experience. All the fuss and worry was taken out of it. Having the regular reviews on your driving and for myself having monthly cost reduced several times throughout my policy was a bonus. Great service 👏

Do not use absolutely shocking how they're taking advantage of people and young drivers. Cancelled after 2 weeks, paid £141 initially then a further £159 after I cancelled to then be billed a further £150 fee and £75 cancellation!

I have good experience in my 1st year. But this year is worse. My insurance has gone up due to unknown claim which still pending and not sorted. I don't even know where that came from. I have been chasing up for almost a month but still not sorted. I am even thinking of moving to another insurance. My insurance gonne up from 75 pounds to 198. It's not even not my mistake. Insurance is taking very long to sort out my issue.

I took out a policy with this company with a black box. I was informed by the customer service advisor I would have 14 days from purchase of policy to install the black box device (even though my policy would not start for another week). After finding this quite odd, I decided to proceed.
After receiving my confirmation email the next day, the text then noted I had 7 days to install the black box. I called two more customer service advisors, who then doubled down and said it was definitely 14 days and they would make a note on my file to ensure I was covered. 7 days pass, I still have not received my black box and I start receiving threatening emails about policy cancellation due to failure to install the black box within the time stated in the "terms and conditions" (nowhere to be found). I call again, now for the 4th time, and am informed that it is in fact 7 days and they have no idea where my black box is.
After repeatedly receiving contradictory information, I lost faith in the policy and have decided to cancel - I have been informed I will receive confirmation of cancellation and notification of refund - so far I have received neither. I feel really let down and upset, as a first time driver this has really rocked my confidence in the industry.

where do i even start. insurance company was a nightmare from the get go. first to install my black box which was difficult and had to damage my battery cover to get in at it then for them to call me and say it wasn’t working. where i provided proof they still said that my insurance would be getting cancelled then for me to phone a few days later for them to tell me it was a technical issue on their side and everything is fine but somehow that was my fault.
then go on a few months everything is fine. to get a call at work saying my black box wasn’t working and to send in pictures but apparently wasn’t working for weeks and no notice..anyway taken pictures which they claimed weren’t good enough and threatened to cancel me. i don’t know how they expect a girl of 20 years to have mechanical knowledge as if they listen to numerous calls they will hear that many times i claim i can’t get into the battery as it has a hard plastic cover. i decided a few days later that enough was enough as i was stressed and upset over it to cancel and go elsewhere and honestly never been happier.
also recently got a bill through with my outstanding balance they have an absolute cheek i am truly disgusted

My experience was great because their response is top notch my black box stopped working and I called them they told me what to do on the phone go through with me step by step still it didn't work before you know in 2 days time I received a new box you put your customers first that's a welldone for me.
