I paid for reviews but haven’t received them. I asked about how royalties are paid but have received no answers.

The staff had been helpful, no matter which person I dealt with. The person who laid out the book used his/her creativity which proved to be great. The individual who worked on the cover had been agreeable and, as well, creative in the layout and design. All personnel had been accommodating in all respects.

Terrible high pressure by sales people

But so many issues agents really only wanting to sell

I felt that the process was explained logically and explicitly so that I understood the steps that needed to be taken to reach the publishing goal. I also felt very supported in being able to fulfil each of the steps along the way.

I went with this company more to the point the AU branch. I thought this was going to be alright I was wrong. Instantly my personal life got involved and my plans for getting published got put on hold. There go after asking for a refund of my deposit my rep dragged his feet for months, then they threw a bunch of legal bull**** in face and told me that they were keeping my deposit. I thought it was odd when my rep was pushing the upsell like a salesman now I know they are crooks. They have robbed me several several hundred dollars that I doubt I will get back, right when I needed that money the most. Under no circumstance do I advise anyone to do business with these crooks

the services I paid for were very high, and I didn't even get most of them. the only thing I appreciated was the fact that they designed my cover in a timely fashion. Other than that, it was a no go. I also was passed between several different publishers and agents which I was unaware of! One was on a leave, but no one communicated with me about that. I called my book consultant many times (of course I had to leave a message), but they didn’t have the decency to call me back!
The financial department was not helpful at all all, they take their sweet time “refunding” my money. They kept pestering me also.
I was extremely excited about my first book being published but this company was not the place to do it. Very disappointing. Very unprofessional, and a company I would never recommend! Definitely will be sticking with self publishing for the foreseeable future

I hired this publishing company to create a children’s book for me a Travis Black was the publishing consultant and he literally ran me down until I gave him my debit card number and then he went totally ghost, I kept calling and sending emails and to no response and finally after almost two weeks he emailed me that he was out of the office which was a fabrication because after I spoke with him he went MIA again he promised that he would have the illustrators do a collage on my project and then a Kathy Lorenzo who said she was the project manager supervisor told me it wasn’t going to happen unlike paid additional monies there was so much confusion I said finally that’s it I am canceling and Kathy told me she would forward my cancellation to Travis Black I never received a call about my refund and actually had to get my bank involved to do a charge back . They are very unprofessional stay clear of them if I could give zero stars I would !

Believe my experience was decent in publishing my first book. Got the service I paid for and wouldn't have any problem recommending them.

If you have not already worked with Xlibris, consider having them publish your books. I recommend that you ask to see if you can work with Rica. However, the entire workforce at Xlibris is really good. You cannot go wrong working with Xlibris especially with Rica Caro.

Nice job publishing my book of poetry, called "Astor Circle". Michelle Pastramo assisted with valuable editing. By the way, this is my 3rd book wiht Xlibris and I have one more coming up. Also I'm proud to reveal the fact I am 84 - nearly 85 and all those books and one more published through Amazon were SINCE I TURNED 80! CAN ANYONE TOP THAT?

The editor was horrible. After reviewing my book, it appeared that nothing was ever updated. I had to pay an private Editor $400.00 to edit my book, which took an additional four weeks.

Communication, efficiency, accuracy, willingness to assist and accept my errors and adjust any errors in my publications.. Discussion and working with me to extend my services and further discuss the costs involved when extra services were offered during the process of publishing.

First of all I would like to say that I am having a great time with the employees of this company. The support and help has been wonderful. I have one area that I feel that it would be good to pay attention to and change because it would benefit not only the writers but also Xlibris. I would like to be able to buy 5 or 10 book stubs at a time. For me to give these as gifts will only help sales. It will help how I market my book and also how I share my book with friends. Most people who do receive the online book want to buy a hard copy for themselves or others. This can only be of benefit for Xlibris. I am buying the book stub so they get payment there and then the people receiving the online book will most likely buy a hard copy. I am told the minimum amount of book stubs I can buy is 100. Thats fine for folks who can afford to purchase 100 but when it is not a possibility for others to purchase that many you are stopping the growth of sales for the writer and for Xlibris and I am sure that if the writer is able to buy 5 or 10 at a time and his or hers sales increase, they would therefore happily buy 100 when it was possible. I hope they will take this into consideration and make this a reality to be able to buy 5 or 10 book stubs...writers would be very grateful and it will not only increase sales for Xlibris and the authors it will also be a good reason a writer would choose Xlibris because it gives the writer more power to market their work.

There was many promises that never fulfilled. There was an aggressive attempts to ask for more money to ask for more money and more again for the marketing.
An example, which upset me most was not having any support discussion, suggestions or anything else from graphic designers in relation to my front cover. At the end 90% of the job I did myself and surprise surprise it looks awful when I ask them for amendment they ask for more money my opinion that that is alpha and omega of this business just to get money out of gullible Older, people

I published with Xlibris in 2004. Paid a lot to get my book published. To heck with trying to put date of experience, it was 2004. To get back to my dealings with Xlibris, I did not get any as per se, Xlixbris. Got a lot of promises that didn’t go anywhere. To sum it up, they did not sell 1 book. Also they sure tried to get me to do another marketing plan and the cost was a lot. I don’t even contact them now. Oh, the name of the novel is The Curse of The Bracelet.

Not a good experience. I do not write bad reviews so I will not get into the many disappointments I experienced with Xlibris. I will say this was not my first book nor my last, but I will not use this company again.

I posted that I have an issue with Xlibris publishing not handling a serious issue I have with them. In typical Xlibris style they responded that they saw someone dealt with my issue. This categorically not true. I can not believe that nobody at that company of authority will ever speak to a customer. At this point I highly recommend self published authors look elsewhere.

It been very supportive and professional so far in my journey. When my second script is ready, I will surely give it to Xlibris

I wrote "Through My Eyes...The Past Comes Calling. Please do not purchase my book because you will be rewarding Xlibris financially.

Xlibris incompetence started after I paid them $3K. They breached their contact, didn't edit & they created more errors. And they didn't give me a dime from residuals. When I informed them of this fact, I was passed around & never received.

When I instructed them to send me a digital copy, for my lawyer. They sent a copy that had watermarks which was not legible. When I requested a legible copy, they sent a URL with a password that didn't function. I sent them a screanshot validation.

Also, they provided my personal contact information to many companies/ scammers who call to this day to try & sell fraudulent movie deals, book events....And they ask for money. Don't fall for their "dangle the carrot" BS extortion attempts!

Thus, rationally I would NEVER recommend anyone to use Xlibris. They are GREEDY, incompetent, untrustworthy, unprofessional....

The postive is that I DON'T have to interact & or deal with them anymore! Amen 🙏 🙏 🙏

Please don't pay them to directly cause you harm, headaches & added stress.

Shop around for a Publishing Company who has good charter & integrity!

So at first I thought this company was amazing, but I really should have read the reviews. After my book was published I waiting the six months before I was meant to get royalties. However this never happened. They are always phoning and emailing promoting marketing and when I reply with ‘no I need my royalties before I commit to anything’ I either forget my get a response or the person on phone says to email so and so blah blah. They signed me on to this author learning centre for £10 a month and only way to cancel is to phone a number, which is unrecognised on my phone. What a horrible company no not recommend
