The finished product is excellent and most of the staff very helpful and professional. A little more guidance at the first editing stage would have saved many troubles later. The editors were very difficult to contact and engage. Too many unauthorized changes were made at this stage and it was too complicated to redo. Botanical works should not be tampered with, and have limited editing. Quite frustrating but overall, excellent.

I found your senior book consultant unhelpful and patronising. In past experience with Xlibris, I have never come across any one like Tony Adams.
I found it very hard to communicate with him and the answer to my questions were long winded and unnecessary. My experience with Jane Cole was great.

I had a great experience with Xlibris. This is my second time publishing a book with them. Kaye was amazing to work with.

In the end when I finally got 50 books I had ordered several weeks prior in time for students to get books before school was out, Xlibris came through overnighting. I have published several books with Xlibris with total satisfaction, but this time was a bit different. In the beginning I talked with so many different individuals, had lots of back and forth conversations less than satisfactory and just found many road blocks without good clarity. I still don't have what my author's discount price is for my book for ordering and have asked repeatedly to have Xlibris lower the $14.99 for a small paperback for children. This price inhibits sales in my area. To sell any books I will have to set a personally lower price for any friends and bookstore clients and be losing money, not even making prices I have paid out

I published my 1st children's book with Xlibris, what a mistake. I had to tell them to remove the dogs genitals 3 times in the drawings. I paid them thousands of $$ and they still wanted more for marketing??? According to Xlibris, they only sold a few books in 2021, however in 2022 and 2023 I know of at least 24 people that have purchased my book, yet there is no record of the sales? DO NOT USE Xlibris, if fact do self-publish your book, self publishing companies only care about the money they receive, they don't care if your book sales!

My experience was made great, because at first publishing wasn't going well with some of the persons I was working with. I like that xlibris acknowledged the problem and came right in to correct it. I value the fact of knowing that if something is wrong in the future with my writtings or from previous work. I can count on them to have the problems fixed.

You have good customer service (Kaye Parsons) and I have patience with other communication problems that are symptoms of the computer age because you're a quality self-publish company.

* Xlibris telemarketing people too aggressive. Too many nuisance phone calls... use email! A bright spot here is Mary Flores 5 stars for her.

* Some time ago some one tried to order one of my books directly from Xlibris... only to be told that the book was no longer in print. I called Heather Carter who corrected the matter.

* some time after that incident... I tried to order a different copy of one of my other books... only to be told that the book was not available... again Ms Carter corrected the problem. ten stars for Ms Carter.

* Due to the two mentioned problems I ordered the word and e copies of my books. To date I have never received the e-copies. The supposed disk for a copy of my book The Jundt family History was blank. Numerous emails to your customer service never got resolved... I simply was passed from one individual to another... with no solution. A minus 10 stars to your customer service!

* The disks of the word copies of my books were provided in rich text... why can I not get these copies in plain word... much simpler to use.

This was the third book of my trilogy. Xlibris made it very easy. I am very pleased with the look, the feel and the copyright. My trilogy is my legacy. Xlibris made it possible.

I expected the publisher to edit the manuscript, just for simple mistakes like extra letters on the very first page of the book. Really frustrating!!!!!

The person I worked with for the interior design of my book was, to an extent, unfriendly and unhelpful. I paid Xlibris to do the index of the book: it was partially done, with several errors and several words in the index did not show ALL the pages on which they appear.

With the exception of my first book, all index for my several books were done by Xlibris and I did not have any complaints.

Xlibris has come through with what they promised. I was promised that they would publish my book which they did and then they needed EXTRA money to market. I asked about a payment plan and that wasn't possible. They want ALL of the money upfront and it's almost impossible to keep up with the financial demands they make on individual authors. Its getting damn near impossible to do anything anymore without a ton of cash.

There were a few complications, in the end we were able to work together to put out a great manuscript.

Love the way they fixed my book just the way I wanted it.....

For the most part I have been very pleased with the service I have received from Xlibris for the six books I have had them publish for me. My only concern was the failure of Xlibris to make all the corrections I requested before publication on my latest book, "A Collection of Life Stories"

My experience with Xlibras has been phenomenal so far. Their staff is incredibly polite and they are always insightful whenever I have any questions about my book. Most importantly, they are honest with me.
