Zapier should change its strict "no refunds" policy. I stumbled across a monthly charge of over £20 when I looked at a mini bank statement.
The problem is that I had not received any email reminders or notifications. The invoices are kept on their website and as I had not used any of the services for months I did not spot this recurring charge.
Zapier's support downgraded me to a free plan and refunded the last charge but this has left me around £200 out of pocket. Reputable companies like Kajabi and Canva always send you an invoice by email monthly so you know where you are.
I will never use Zapier again after this experience.
Incompetent scam
Zapier has had many outages, we have to fix the broken runs ourselves. Days later they send a message stating they manually forwarded the zaps as well, resulting in thousands of euros in damages. They now state this is something they cannot do anything about, sending us in loops to 'info pages' on their site.
Slow and mediocre
Slow, doesn't work for what it claims to work. Asks you to set an impossible to remember password. Mediocre platform overall.
Overhyped AI?
I tried the free two week trial and only made it to the first day. Using the AI tool to generate my workflows proved convoluted and complicated. I had got to a certain point after some hours only for the bot to decide there was a problem further back, delete half the work and then act as if it had never done in the first place and want to virtually start again. I read the reviews here and deleted my account at that point. Is AI overhyped? If this experience is anything to go by probably. Humans still very much needed as it was quicker and easier for me to do the work myself without automation otherwise I'd just spend more time setting up a system and fixing bugs.

We lost revenues because of the 2025-10-20 incident. Zapier was unavailable during all the day and doesn’t want to refund. We are clients since 2020 and this is not acceptable.

Patchy, inconsistent, simple zaps either don't trigger at all, or trigger endless zaps at a time.
Support is non existent.
It's impossible to believe that credible companies use this daily to facilitate their needs.

Disappointed with Zapier, Found a Better Alternative
I attempted to use Zapier for my workflows, but I encountered the same problems that other users have brought up: duplicate records, inadequate support, and being locked into a plan that I never really used. They seem to have lost their ability to listen to users and have become overly inflexible. I'm glad I looked elsewhere after a while. I moved to a different automation tool that is actually responsive to feedback, much easier to set up, and much more flexible with integrations. Overall, things have gone more smoothly, and I'm not as concerned about workflows crashing in silence. I only regret not switching sooner.
Extremely Faulty.
Wanted to Use Cognito forms to send data to Hubspot. Due to Cogtino Forms ONLY integration being Zapier, I thought I would create a Zap and feed the data in that way.
Zapier attempts to search Hubspot companies. Gets it completely wrong and doesn't find anything, so their integration creates duplicates rather than updating the record.
Completely useless.
Cant contact support, because they only provide support to certain user types.
How are they supposed to fix their software if you cant even tell them about it.
There are now plenty of better integration apps available.
Stay well clear of Zapier.

Seriously??? I am disgusted. Can't get a refund when they auto charged me when I am not even using the service! Wrote in to request for refunds immediately after I was charged and got rejected! Was told I can downgrade to free plan (after I paid a full year!). Can't delete my credit card details too!

Our business would be so hard without Zapier automations, we use it for automation to send orders updates to our customers, we integrated our Ecwid Store with Gmail, OpenPhone, TextMagic to send order updates to out customer. We have been using Zapier for a year now.
We use it also to filters the orders we get, we integrated Zapier with our Ecwid store and a Google sheet where we listed fraudulent email list to avoid them from processing order on our store.
Thank to Zapier for their services, But hopefully they can reduce the prices, their prices are really harmful for a small business, we pay around $200 a month for few automations.

Stay far away from this company! If you sign up for a paid plan and have issues or decide you don't need the service any longer, they will NOT refund you any amount for any reason. There are several companies that charge less and give you a lot more. Terrible experience with Zapier.

Unfortunately the system isn't working. But even more unfortunately, they won't cancel my subscription, or work with me on their billing for the next 6 months that I won't be using Zapier.

I wish it was no stars. They are terrible I signed up paid for 1 full year expecting it to work for my CRM. However it does not work on their end I tried to cancel without ever using a Zap they denied my request and refuse to even partial refund me so I am out close to $300 terrible place use a better company then this.

They charge you if you do not use their product. It is next to impossible to cancel, like a planet fitness membership. Do not recommend, there are better alternatives and options nowadays. Stay clear of Zapier!

I signed up for Zapier’s mid-tier plan to use for my business, and within the first 30 days it was clear the platform did not perform as advertised. The automations didn’t work as intended, and when I reached out for a refund, I was denied despite the short timeframe.
Customer service was unhelpful and offered no real solutions. For the price, I expected reliability and support, but instead I was left with wasted time, money, and frustration.
I would strongly recommend exploring other options before committing to Zapier.

Disgusting company, one of our employees thought he signed up for a month but due to the way they present their "offer" he was charged for a year, when we asked for a partial refund the unpleasant and unfriendly customer rep referred us to their "policy document of 2024" where they state they offer absolutely no refunds. The service itself sucks, it is designed to lock you in and then fleece you for everything you got with little fees everywhere. Don't build yourself into this trap and don't reward hostile customer service and no-refund policies. Their deceptive marketing and sales tactics should be investigated and penalised
NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE
I had three accounts at Zapier over the years. I renewed one of them yesterday. They took payment. That payment does not reflect in any of the accounts. Trying to get an answer is not working. Their AI service makes it impossible to reach a human. And since the payment (and monthly renewal) doesn't reflect anywhere, it is impossible to cancel. Once the payment process is cancelled, I will find another solution.
