Support sucks after they abandoned support via chat
Generally i like the app, however their customer service has deteriorated sharply over the last several months. they seem to have abandoned their chat support, and now have to rely on their useless email support which literally takes a day between each interaction. The reality is that no issue can be solved by their customer support in less than several days to a week. This is not acceptable when you are relying on their service in day to day operations, especially when i frequently come across bugs in the system.
Zapier is overpriced, the interface bloated and clunky and the service is poor
As the title states, I was eager to test out Zapier and compare it against other market leaders like Make.com and even N8N. But I discovered that is quite poor, not intuitive, the inteface is a jumbled mess and it tries to do too much for you.
Heck, there are even Wordpress plugins like Uncanny Automator that do a better job, easier and for less money than Zapier.
Zapier is the Shopify of Automation platforms. You pay an arm for everything, its all on guard rails and one of the worst parts is the service staff. They are not experts in their products. I had to deal with them two times and both times they gave me the wrong advice.
I would warn against using Zapier. Absolutely no reason.

do you have zapier? here's the reality:
DON'T: expect your zaps to run. ever.
DON'T: trust your data. ever.
DO: spend more time per year fixing and setting zapier up than you do any other app or software
DO: lose customer confidence
DO: look unprofessional when you lose orders or invoices because of failed zaps
DO: grow resentful with zapier's absolute lack of customer service expertise
DO: wonder why you brought this pos software into your business model.
ALL sales are final, so better decide during the free trial
I used their free trail to automate customer outreach, the ZAP worked fine. When I started to add filters & paths, it did not work as intended. I spent about 2 weeks troubleshooting & re-making the ZAPs & the outreach would not work. I paid in full for the year after the trial & ALL sales are final. So now I paid in full for a service that is mediocre at best, assuming you can get it work. There have been so many changes in their product that much of the help online is outdated. Good luck!!

Zapier is a terrible automation service, dated and not able to compete with most competitors.
Customer support is terrible, i purchased subscription in order to access features promised by that subscription which i didn't get, asked for refund 1h later and got rejected
Better off using Make
Zapier is great for automations but they overcharge. You can do the same thing for much less using Make.
Zapier overbilled me for a month and customer service was greedy and wouldn’t refund the extra credits despite being a 1 year subscriber.
Swapping off the platform on next billing cycle and I’d recommend you as well.

Customer for nearly 15 years and the minute I finally started using the service I had paid for all of that time suddenly they tripled my price with 30 days notice. Actually a bot did. Horrible organization. Use Make it's much more intuitive.

Charged 5 Euro more and no refund even though plan was canceled
I canceled my Pro Plan for the next billing cycle, but saw that they still debited my card with the amount. Going back to the portal I saw that my account is still on a pro plan. After writing a support ticket, they just say, "sorry based on our refund policy it's not possible to refund you".
In addition they debitet 5 Euro more that for the the pro plan costs.

The service is not working properly, support won't answer my ticket. it's impossible to contact the company other than support tickets.
I feel betrayed by this company, I already paid one year in advance, now I'm suffering and I'll go to the competitor.

No refund on stolen creditcard!
Stay away from these people! I recently found out that a former employee had used my private credit card to make purchases for all sorts of products and services, including Zapier. I requested a refund, which they refused, and proceded to try to give me access to the stolen account. Zapier is an unscrupulous company that likes to profit from fraud. Stay as far away from them as you can!

I am experiencing some the same issues that recent reviewers have posted about on this platform. Zapier is not a useful tool for us and we have begun using another vendor. When I inquired about a pro-rated refund for a 1-year subscription (we set up the subscription one month ago) I was told no refunds and the online chat person abruptly ended the chat when I requested contact information for someone higher up in the company. Since then, I have been unable to find working contact information for co-founder Wade Foster. I'm going to go to the BBB in the company's area and report them but I'm sure that will be a dead end. All I can say is user beware. This is NOT a company with integrity.
Terrible Customer Support
I accidentally upgraded to the wrong plan and realized my mistake almost immediately—within 3 minutes. I reached out to customer support right away, expecting a quick fix. Instead, I was told that a downgrade wasn’t possible because I had "already used tasks." But this is automation software—of course, tasks get triggered automatically!
Now I'm stuck with an overpriced plan for a whole year.
ZERO STARS
If I could I would give ZERO stars. Our company has used their product since 2021 and we no longer have the use of the product and forgot to cancel our membership. When we noticed on the statement that we were billed we reached out to their customer support to see if we could cancel and get refunded as we had no plans to use their product (renewal was set at 1 year). Customer support (LAURA) stated that they do not do refund. When we asked for the case to be escalated to management or at least a partial refund her response was incredibly rude. I have never seen this level of unprofessionalism before.

Ich würde Usern in der EU von der Nutzung des Service abraten, da die Lösung nicht fit für EU rechtliche Bestimmungen scheint (Datenschutz etc.). Die Anzeige eines Abos ist außerdem total intransparent und widerspricht ebenso EU Verordnungen über Transparenz (es wird z.B. angezeigt, dass man auf einem FREE Plan ist, man erhält dennoch eine monatl. Abrechnung und erkennt erst nach viel hin und her mit dem Customer Support, dass man ein verstecktes Abo hat ... also klassische Abo-Falle, wie sie in der EU verboten ist).

I have been a loyal Zapier customer for over 5 years, always prepaying for a full year in advance because I trusted the service and valued its reliability. However, my recent experience has been nothing short of disappointing.
My subscription renewed just one day ago, and I reached out to downgrade my plan immediately. Despite the fact that no services were provided under the renewed plan, I was informed that downgrading was not allowed. I contacted the company the same day the renewal took place, yet my request was outright denied.
To make matters worse, the customer service representative I spoke with was extremely rude and dismissive, which only added to my frustration. This lack of flexibility and disregard for long-standing customers is unacceptable.
Zapier has made it clear they are unwilling to accommodate or value loyal customers, and as a result, they’ve lost my business permanently. I will no longer use Zapier for my own needs or recommend it to my consulting clients.
This experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I hope Zapier seriously reconsiders how they handle billing and treat long-term customers moving forward.
ZERO customer support
ZERO customer support - no email support, no phone support, nothing. How am I supposed to do 100 zaps a month with no support??? USELESS.
The only option is "Upgrade" to a 1000 zaps a month, 10 times my need.
This means Zapier do not consider small businesses as important, they only cater for corporations or people stupid enough to upgrade to something they dont need.
