I've paid ZAPIER for over 2 years and I can affirm and confirm their software is unreliable, you would need an employee to work on it everyday just to fix the bugs that are in their software. Moreover, their support takes days to answer and they are unable to make the modifications to fix the bug, the user has to go there and find the issues themselves! Ridiculous expensive for a software full of bugs and issues, completely unreliable!

I don’t understand all the negativity on here. It’s a decent easy to use automation platform. Pricing is definitely higher but that’s because it’s the easiest and biggest - most integrations. A few bugs every now and then but most of my zaps run fine

Extremely overpriced
Five or seven years ago, Zapier was the only service that offered automation between many 3rd party services. They were reasonably priced and innovative.
Today, they are just bad and expensive. Prices went up 200%, so it's a take-it-or-leave-it situation for the old customers. At the same time, their competitors offer much lower prices and better functionality.

Firstly we found the service very overpriced. We've switched to competitors that offer the same level of functionality for a fraction of the cost (5 times less than zapier).
The biggest issue we had was their unethical billing policies. They auto-billed us in advance for a whole year. Within 2 days of seeing the charge we cancelled the service. They downgraded our account so we lost all premium functionality but they never sent a refund. A few month later we noticed that the refund had never come through so we contacted their support. Their response was:
"Your last payment was made on June 18, 2023. In this instance, as the annual plan was purchased more than 30 days ago, we're unable to issue that credit as a refund"
In other words they acknowledged that we arent using the service (we are on the free account) but are hiding behind their made up refund policy which says that a refund has to be issued within 30 days of purchase even though they are the ones that never sent the refund!
Buyer be ware when dealing with Zapier. They seem desperate to hold on to every dollar they get.
Wish it was more useful
They spend more time creating plan upgrade and signup traps than making the platform useful. And you have to pay more because of the inefficiencies of the platform (ie excess steps to handle simple tasks). Plus, the apps/steps lack a lot of flexibility. It has a ton of integrations but not many great ones.

Increased the price of my plan by 900% - CRAZY
Been a loyal customer for many years.
It was expensive to use but got the job done. Even though it at times are very slow.
Now they increased the price by around 900% for my plan, so instead of paying around 200 usd, it now cost 1800 usd a month.
Crazy.
I'm already in the proces of migrating to a cheaper and faster platform. Should had done it long time ago.
Zapier marketer is just pouring money…
Zapier marketer is just pouring money on fire for YouTube ads. They have been showing their cheap ad for weeks, may be, like 10 times a day proving their marketing team either dump or just do not know that YouTube campaigns do have a setting to put a limit.
The service itself is just mediocre solution overloading the whole system, but fine just for starters not middle or big business at all.

Zapier has the worst customer service…
Zapier has the worst customer service of just about any company I have worked with, and I've worked with A LOT. We are due a refund, which must be requested, however...to request said refund, we have to contact "customer support". The link to the "contact our support FORM" takes you to the ambiguous help center...where no such FORM (or any access to chat, email, etc) exists. It's a complete SHAM and SCAM. I don't know how they get away with it. I've spent an hour trying to get through to someone...anyone. I did find the sales live chat, and boy-oh-boy...they were eager to communicate with me....until they realized I was looking for true support...and then they left my message as "seen", but wouldn't reply. I cannot express how frustrating this is and how very much they absolutely, positively SUCK!
Terrible Support and help -
So we are doing very simple automation updating 20 games and refs per week - but the account has recorded over 753 transactions in one day ! we have supposedly reached our limit. Trying to get any support from this Company is a joke - they ask you to send a mail and then direct you to a site when you press "something else" it asks you to send a mail. If you have any problems with this company it is very difficult to get them resolved. Avoid it you need customer service !! There must be better companies around than this one !!
I am going to give Zapier a 2 for it's failing filters and support who go on weekend without resolving critical issues
I am going to give Zapier a 2, hoping they would work at bringing it up to a 4 or 5. We took the free trial and had to buy a Woocommerce plugin. After paying for it, the filters did not work and the zaps applied equally to all orders - HUGE MESS.
We reached out to support - and they responded by kicking the can down the road with a few really useless questions, displaying ZERO critical thinking.
By the time they could respond, the next day on a Friday, they went quiet and on weekend, leaving us with a broken automation system over the weekend.
I did love the very basic automation - would have been OK if we sold ONLY one SKU product. However the moment you sell more than one SKU, the system, through it's failing filters, cannot handle complex matters.
My conclusion, until this is resolved, is that Zapier is at the INFANCY level of RPA and has a long way to go.
Would have been great if it could deliver what it claims - but for now, our conclusion is that it cannot.
If that changes, I will gladly change this review and give them whatever rating they deserve.
Expensive, unreliable and slow
Zapier has become too expensive, too unreliable and (most annoyingly) too damn slow. It takes forever to load pages. There are plenty of alternatives.
