First, I love Japanese stationery. I have loved it since the first time I got my hands on a Hobonichi. I am also not one for writing reviews.
I have been toying for years as to whether to sign up to Zenpop, but I finally bit the bullet and did it, and I am definitely not disappointed!
I have received the May 2026 box, and I have been blown away by how beautifully curated the box is! Everything is not only aesthetically pleasing and great quality, but also functional, a must (as I need to be able to justify the level of stationery I gather). Not only that, sign up was easy, payment was smooth, and delivery was spectacularly quick from Japan! I am not sure if i just ordered at the right time in the cycle, but it arrived so quickly! I am definitely going to continue into the future! Thank you 😍

My experience with Zenpop has been nothing but positivity! I love how Zenpop communicates with their subscribers on many different platforms (especially discord) which you don’t see many subscription services doing. They always work alongside their subscribers “suggestion box” on the type of themes people would like to see and zenpop absolutely slays! Henceforth, my reasoning on why I have decided to use Zenpop. I actually have nothing bad to say about Zenpop.
Customer service 10/10 - very fast and helpful replies!
My favourite box so far from Zenpop has to be the October 2025 theme : field trip. This box was absolutely stunning! I really enjoyed the fountain pen and the extra ink included. The memo pads were amazing! They were cute, functional and also looked like mountains! So technically you could use it as a memo or use it as “junk journal” cause it looks like mountains. I really enjoyed the stickers that came alongside this months box too!
With this October’s release, I have used the fountain pen to write on my journal and on my post card for my penpals. I have used the stickers for my hiking and fishing trip I went in August and then my memo pads for decoration :) I am absolutely in love with zenpop!

I have received the stationery box for around two years now. It is so much fun to open it each month and see what treasures lie inside. The price and quality is just great, plus the exciting feeling when you open your box. Even when I got spoilers before, it is still thrilling to use and test everything. Sometimes there are things I don't need so much, but these were great presents to friends and family. Although most of the time I use all by myself. The customer service is very kind, as well as the community. I can totally recommend buying the box and/or from the shop.

Very impressed with my items which I received from Japan in a matter of days. The Shinada Global plush exceeded my expectations and I love everything in my box. Everything has gone smoothly every time, the customer service is fast, attentive and kind. The product selection is wide and I love basically everything that's in the box. It's a bit pricey, but I find it reasonable for the type and quality of service and product this is. I've ordered the 6 months subscription twice now and I'm very satisfied.

Won‘t buy again. Snack box is too expensive for what you actually get.. most of the snacks are one-biters. Don‘t know why they increased the price of the box. I rather buy at my local asian shop.

I'm based in Poland and won a giveaway hosted by one of my favorite artists for the stationary package. It took around a month to arrive. The package was supposed to be from June this year, but the box I received was from October 2022. It would usually upset me and try to get the right box, but the contents of the box were a very good value and things I genuinely wished of having, so I'm gonna keep it

They lost the package, never contacted us and when we got in touch with them, they offered a partial refund that we never received.
Edit:: whereas we appreciate the detailed response, the fact remains-my daughter purchased a box, the bank confirms receipt of payment, she never received a confirmation email with am order number nor subsequent follow up emails of the status of the order. When she did finally reach out, she was told snarkily and curtly that it was a “customer error” with shipping followed by some arbitrary screenshot of text of fine print circled from their web site that no customer would see when placing an order. She was offered a partial refund at one point and that never happened. She inquired about reordering and was told they no longer carry the Sakura otter (but they do now). There are so many ways Zenpop could have handled this and how they chose to do so is regrettable.

I purchased a three-month subscription as a gift for a friend. One of the packages was sent, but I never received an email that it was sent or that it had arrived. Then the package was returned. They first promised to send me another package, but since it never arrived, I contacted ZenPop again, and they said they couldn't send another package. After a lot of unpleasant emails with the unfriendly correspondence, they refunded me half a package (about 20 USD for a 40 USD package). They even made two transactions on my account, so it would look like they refunded the full package, but only one transaction was authorized. So after some time, the transaction is withdrawn from my bank account and not refunded. The snacks my friend received were nice, but the correspondence was very unpleasant and I would never buy from Zenpop again. The whole experience was very frustrating. With the money I lost, I could have bought better boxes from bokksu. So if you want to buy a snack subscription box, I would definitely not buy from ZenPop even though they might appear cheaper than other boxes.
