I’ve bought several Steelcase Leap chairs over the year for our office. Both from Steelcase directly and the last couple from this company. The only notable difference being the price!

What a wonderful company! ... I have bought 2 chairs from them over the last 2 years, and they were at a HUGE saving over new RRP... they allowed me access to chairs I just couldn't afford new... they arrived in amazing condition, and you would struggle to tell them apart from brand new. I rarely write Trust Pilot reviews (sorry TP!) but felt compelled to write this one. From my own experience, buy with confidence!!

I ordered an Orangebox DO chair from 2NDHND. On the description on the website it said the chair was the backlock version (‘travel limiter’ which lets you lock in 3 positions) and as I required this for my back I emailed them to double check this was definitely the case and they confirmed it was. The chair that was delivered did not have this feature and was the more basic version. I emailed and they said actually this was a mistake and none of the chairs they ship have this feature. This was really disappointing as I specifically asked beforehand. Also the chair delivered was not the most hygienic (black hair and dirt stuck in all the wheels). As with second hand chairs you can’t expect them to be brand new but I’d at least hope they had been cleaned. Inaccurate and misleading product description and dirty chair.

Update - solved and returned.

I have ordered a couple of items from 2ndHnd and on both occasions I have been very happy with the item received. The latest order I placed was out of stock unbeknown to me, and after waiting for the expected lead time for the order to be delivered I contacted to query. To cut a long story short, I was refunded immediately, and an employee of their finance team promised to let me know when the item was back in stock for purchase. After a few weeks, I was contacted and the order was delivered the next day, which I found to be a very personal service. A negative situation of not receiving my order after a couple of weeks was turned into a positive one by 2ndhnd remembering my order and contacting me personally to arrange re-ordering. Thanks to the team.

I have received my desk and scudo chair from 2ndhnd today well wrapped and boxed both items no faults at all with them would recommend to everyone great service happy costumer today

bought a leap V2 from this company and the customer service was amazing, kept me updated with all aspects of the production, the chair arrived in amazing condition considering it’s second hand, will definitely use the company again!

Ordered a chair on 15 June (#47399) described as brand new. The confirmation states dispatch within 5 to 10 days but so far haven’t had a dispatch date or any other information. Have e-mailed for information but no response. Customer service clearly not a priority. Almost 3 months since my original order and despite phoning several times, still no chair and no communication from the company.

What a shambles of a company. They clearly went to the Boris Johnson school of truth telling. Terrible communication, poor excuses and seemingly little concern about customer service. If you are happy to wait months for your delivery then their prices and quality aren't bad (but there are plenty of other companies as good). But if you need something in the "5-10 working days" they promote on their website, forget it and go elsewhere. We placed an order on 6 April and it was finally fully delivered on 22 June. Most of our emails to them just went unanswered and when I phoned them they were at best unhelpful and at worst downright evasive. We placed another order 6 weeks ago and have yet to have any communication from the company regarding delivery date. We won't be using them again. Order #42970

Dear lord where to begin... poor communication and even worse on the phone.
despatch manager huffed down the phone "oh well these things happen" when the order was cancelled. Two memebers of staff telling me very different things about orders comining (come on guys if you gonna make things up chat to each other first!).
The staff sound like they hate their jobs... yes their stock maybe cheap but I would spend a little more and have a nicer exprience

Recently bought an ergo chair from 2nd hnd. The chair came in extent condition no faults or damage on the chair very comfortable to use.

I would highly recommend others to get the office/ pc chairs from 2nd hnd.
