It's been a hassle but after many emails it seems to be resolved.
Ordered on the 8th of June, it's now the 27th and still no dispatch. I complained on the 22nd (Wednesday) and got a reply stating it would be shipped by the end of the week. No dispatch update by the end of the week. Sent an email on the 25th asking what's going on, I expect a reply to that email at some point today but in case I don't receive one I'm writing this review in the hopes this literal pain in my ass will be resolved soon. I get that there is likely delays due to covid but as a company you should factor that in to your expected wait time. I expected better than this.

Update (30/6/22):
Changed from 1 star to 3 as Ross has been helpful in resolving the issue. The problem was with their distributer, Tuffnells. Apparently they're switching to DPD (at least for shipping to Northern Ireland, not sure about elsewhere). I'll update again when the chair arrives. So, yeah, my advice to anyone buying from NI is to check if they've got their distribution issues sorted first.
Second update (8/7/22): I received the chair this tuesday (5/7/22). I'm unfortunately going to have to contact 2ndhnd.com regarding the chair. I will explain should my issue not be resolved in a fair and timely manner.
Third update (8/7/22): Credit to Ross for always being super quick to reply to my qualms. So far I'm happy with the prospect of what's to come. I think they're doing their best tbh and sometimes in general everything just goes wrong but overall their customer service seems to be very good.
Fourth update (11/7/22): They're replacing my Steelcase Leap V2 with a Steelcase Gesture and sorting all delivery free of charge. So, considering the Gesture is sold for £80 more than the Leap V2, I'd say this upgrade makes up for the hassle I went through. Here's hoping it's smooth sailing from here.

SUPER SATISFIED!!
Bought myself a Steelcase Gesture from them and I love it! Arrived basically new. No marks, dirt or anything like that. I've been looking for a Gesture for a few weeks, but no site matched the price these guys had.
Shipped my order the next day of purchase and the overall shipping was also super fast. Oh, and I live in Norway!

I purchased a Steelcase Gesture and it is in excellent condition. Delivery took 6 days from ordering which was well within the stated window.
I imagine that experiences vary based on the stock they have in, but it is still so much better than landfill. Perhaps lower prices for more wear and tear combined with more honest descriptions of the condition of the chairs would be a good move, but my experience has been great.

Poor Refurb, Long Wait, bad comms
First of all it took 3 weeks to send my chair and I sent 3 or 4 emails asking for an update but all were completely ignored. Secondly, my steelcase gesture is pretty beat up - it’s a far cry from refurbed to “as good as new” condition - covered in visible scuffs and not even very clean. It looks like they just buy up old office furniture and sell it as is. Quite misleading so just be aware of this. Even Operationally I’ve had to WD40 myself the mechanisms to stop them screeching when I recline. Won’t be using them again - much better service with CorporateSpec Who I’ve used in the past - I’d suggest you check them out instead.
Update: 2ndhnd apologised and arranged a hassle free refund

Nice quality chair, poorly refurbed.
Nice quality chair, but the way they changed the seat cover was done poorly. The screws were threaded and literally dropped out of the bottom of the chair after a month. I had to glue them back in again because they'd destroyed the threads.

I've just received my chair that was ordered a week ago! I was a little worried after I've read some of the reviews in internet but the chair feels and looks amazing! I'm very pleased with my order! I had an enquiry about the wheels and got a response in less than half an hour. Got all the emails confirming my order, the invoice and when they started preparing the chair for me on time. This morning an email saying that the item will be delivered today. Perfect service!

I have been having back pain for a while and I saw the Herman Miller chair being recommended. I got excited shelling out £600 to buy one from 2ndhnd….10 days ago!!
No update at all about where my order is, cannot seem to reach anyone via chat or phone. I even began to think it was a scam website. I see that they respond here which offers some hope.

26+ days not shipped yet
Its been 26 days I have been waiting for the order to be shipped out. It is not yet. Company did not reach out nearing the promised 10 day window to update on failing to meet the deadlines
Had to be chased to get any kind of updates. Cant provide any specific information/date of when the order will be shipped out.
I still have no clue when/if it will be shipped.

Excellent quality of refurb on my chair - looks like new, and the leather finish looks particularly smart.
Only giving 4 not 5 stars due to a delay that I had to chase - once I first chased the company became communicative with several emails, so my faith returned.

Extreme waiting time and no updates
Extreme waiting time and no updates. I ordered early February and had to chase them weekly for updates. According to their stated dispatch + delivery dates I should have received my chair no later than 1st of March but on the 20th of March my chair wasn't even done. They blamed covid twice and now the other day they told me they didn't have the parts available. Covid is what it is but not making sure you have spare parts in stock when it's already extremely delayed? They couldn't have ordered those over 1 month ago when I made the order? Anyway I was finally fed up and cancelled immediately, I'm taking my business elsewhere. I generally had a good experience with one customer service rep who always was really helpful when I reached out but she was off the other day, the new rep didn't even offer an apology but made the refund arrangements very quickly. I might be petty but lost around 5 GBP because of different conversion rates, feels wrong that I essentially borrowed this company 525 GBP for over a month and didn't receive anything other than losing money on conversion rates. I can honestly say this has been the worst shopping experience I've had in recent years, I recommend you stay away from this company. But if you still feel like ordering from them, be aware of their conversion rates if you are not within the UK. Make sure to order from their UK site and pay in GBP and have your own bank do the conversion as 2ndhnd's conversion rates are way above market value.

Amazing value/Customer Service
Ordered 2 chairs that were delivered in pristine condition considering they were recycled and upholstered, I was a bit wary of this but I have been fully converted and will certainly recommend and order again. And as an added bonus its 2 products that have avoided landfill.

I ordered a chair on 8th February, 19th April still no chair
I ordered a chair on 8th February. 11 working days later I contacted the customer support for an update as I'd had no emails or updates.
They informed me there had been a delay and that they'd likely dispatch my chair next week. It's now 19th April, still no chair but been informed there is a supplier issue and will have to wait another two to three weeks.
