The initial application form on their website was really easy to fill in, though I would stress in hindsight that you do fill in as much detail as possible; more than you think you would need. I had... Toon meer

What is the Access Card? The physical card acts as a photo ID that can be used to easily communicate your access requirements to events and venues, so that the venues can provide accessibility to the needs of their visitors. It also works online with other platforms like ticketing systems, to unlock the access facilities you need. The card shows a photo ID and translates a persons disability or impairment into symbols, effectively highlighting the barriers they face and the reasonable adjustments they might need. The Access Card app provides you with a personalised directory of venues, with first-class accessibility information to help you plan your trips.

Awful company,
Awful company, wouldn’t recommend that make it as difficult as possible to get a card even though provided with proof of disability, blue badge & images in my opinion they are here to make it as difficult as possible and to give out as few cards as possible! I believe that the organisations that they operate at give money to them? I wonder if that is why they make it as difficult as possible to get
Kind and informative
Kind and informative. Questioned me where needed and were prompt to reply.
Overall positive experience - I am very appreciative of the service they offer.
Great service from start to finish
Great service from start to finish. Really quick turnaround and very helpful staff.
…great surport
This was the first time I ever applied for anything like this I called London coliseum for tickets to a show and was asked if I had a card for a disability and was quickly told about this and was helped straight away I received a email from yourselves. It was so straight forward email my information and three days i got a response and received my code great service and made so easy
Obfuscating, subjective and non-transparent application process.
The application process is not transparent, neither is it reasonable. Despite providing evidence that I receive the higher rate of PIP, my application was refused. You are required to submit a large amount of highly personal information; none that I have been asked for from venues when booking with a proof of PIP.
I note, Access Card has responded to a previous entry here, that they always work with the applicant to progress their application. Sadly not so in my case.
It is one thing to be disabled, it is quite another to be discriminated against by a company that claims to be supportive of the disadvantaged.
I received a refund then a request for more information here, or my review would be removed. Are only positive experiences worthy of documenting?
Application was easy
Application was easy, they listed the relevant paperwork needed at the start. I was given more than I was currently asking for but they had the foresight to include things that I will need rather sooner than I’m hoping.
They kept me informed while my application was being processed.
I have yet to use it but for my friend who has one it opened up his life.
It was reasonably priced.
An inaccessible service for disabled people
Refusing to accept my doctors letter as proof, wouldn’t give me a card that had my needs on it. A complete waste of money, time. And so stressful.
The response time was extremely quick but can feel discriminatory.
The response time was extremely quick, which is definitely a positive. The concept of the Access Card is great and has a lot of potential to help disabled people. However, I do question how they come to some of their decisions. Despite providing detailed information and evidence of my conditions, the outcome didn’t seem to fully reflect my needs or the support I already receive in other settings. I think more transparency in the assessment process would make the experience feel more fair. I was denied the plus one part as they said they did not have enough evidence to support that requirement.
Not a great experience until I spoke to John
I applied for a renewal over a month ago, emails were taking nearly a week to get a response, I had lost one of the pages from my PIP, but despite telling them my needs had not changed, I wasn't getting anywhere. In the end, I called and spoke to a guy called John, he was courteous, empathetic and understood straight away the issue, 5 mins later, all sorted.
Thank you John, you restored my faith in the scheme.
Very happy with the service.

Cannot fault this service
Cannot fault this service, my enquiry and application complete within a couple of hours.
Deeply Disappointed and Let Down
I’m absolutely shocked by how this company handled my situation. Despite providing DLA evidence and a letter from a healthcare professional, my request for a +1 for my 3-year-old was refused. Other places accept DLA for this, so I feel disadvantaged and discriminated against simply because of my child’s age.
I’m angry and extremely disappointed — this company claims to support people with additional needs, yet has shown no compassion or understanding. I’ll be cancelling my application and requesting a refund. Truly let down by an organisation that should know better.
Having an expiry date, why?
Having an expiry date is ridiculous for most. The disability for the majority of us will never go away.
It's just make money from the disabled.
Efficient, accessible and extremely helpful
Very straightforward application process, immediate acknowledgement with clear instructions and processed within a few days.
Positive experience Answered my emails swiftly
Answered my emails swiftly. Helpful and polite, I have difficulty expressing my needs but they seemed to understand what I needed thank you neil
Found it very difficult to get my card…
Found it very difficult to get my card and it took over 30 days after they took the money and had it authorised.
Takes to long to answer any emails enquirys
