Bilförslaget borde inte ens komma upp som förslag på sökning eftersom uthyrningstället är stängd under natten

Are you for real?
I booked a car through AutoEurope thinking it would be OK since it was a site I found at Swedavia, the handler of airports in Sweden. Once I came to Europcar there is no car and I had to do a new booking. Europcar confirmed by phone to AutoEurope there is no booking. I expected to get a confirmation AutoEurope had cancelled the booking and refund me but no. I called the so called customer service and requested cancellation and refund but no, he could not even send me something confirming the booking was cancelled and without any warning he hang up on me. Do not book with AutoEurope and you will for sure save yourself a plentyful of hassle!

Är ett riktigt skoj företag som lurar sina kunder på pengarna.
Jag åkte ner på OS den 7 februari och skulle hämta ute min hyr bil på flyg platsen i Bergamo där bokat via autoeurope.
Fick inte någon hyr bil utan fick bara förklaringen att Vouchern till hyrbilen var värdelös.
Och att jag var tvungen att köpa hyrbilen på nytt.
Riktiga kriminella personer på hyrbils firman!
Ringde autoeurope kundtjänst som sa samma sak.
Att hyrbils Vouchern inte gäller mer än 30 min.
Ändå hade jag varit där och väntat på shuttle bussen ifrån flygplatsen till hyrbils stationen.
Så dom menade att man var tvungen köpa ny hyrbil.
Hyr inte hyrbil ifrån autoeurope eller Target rent bergamo.

autoeurope has no control over the…
autoeurope has no control over the rental companies they use - take care also about their quality which is low without responsibility for what they promise in their vouchers. I paid for an insurance including Theft Protection (autoeurope). In the contract presented at car pick up (FELIRENT) this insurance was removed and not included. If I did not signed their contract version, they did not give me the car. I called autoeurope and they did not respond else than that the problem was mine if I signed the contract without theft protection. Avoid this rental car company, they are unreliable and dishonest.

Ung personal från Carwiz var trevliga, professionella och snabba under hela processen från hämtning av bilen till lämning av bilen.
Bilen var nästan ny i jättebra skick.

Vi fick punktering och efter många och…
Vi fick punktering och efter många och långa samtal fick vi till slut ta en taxi till flygplatsen. Det tog över ett dygn att ordna en ersättningsbil.
Väl hemma drogs självrisk från kortet men vi fick inget kvitto som vi kunde lämna till försäkringsbolaget.
Vi kontaktade Auto Europe och skapade ett case enligt instruktion. Sen har inget hänt på en månad trots flera påminnelser från vår sida.
Som lök på laxen visade det sig även att Auto Europe tagit ut en extrakostnad på 500kr för de samtal, kom på teleräkningen, vi hade med dem för att försöka få en ersättningsbil.
Så dåligt. Lärdom-använd biluthyrningsfirmorna direkt och skippa trassliga mellanhänder som kostar pengar och är till ingen hjälp

Vi fick inte hyra bilen när vi stod hos biluthyraren för att det ena kortet var ett debetkort Mastercard och det andra var ett Preemkort Mastercard dvs ingen fysisk bank. De ville debitera oss 100 Euro mer. Vi fick ingen hjälp från autoeurope . De sa att det inte var refundable. Så där var det kalla handen. Vilken scam alltså! Att stå i ett främmande land och inte veta vart man ska ta vägen!!! Fick gå från biluthyrning till biluthyrning för att hitta en ledig bil. De hade inga som helst funderingar på att vi hade Preemkort så det gick till slut bra att hyra. Men vi förlorade pengarna från första bilhyran. Aldrig mer Autoeurope! Pengar ska de ha men ingen hjälp när det krisar!

Helförsäkrad. Skickar in all dokumentation för att få tillbaka självrisken på 9500 kr jag betalat till tredje part.
Auto europe svarar inte via mejl eller telefon. Det går inte att ringa kundtjänst. De tar inte ansvar.

Fortfarande inget svar om vilken kurs ni använder från Sek till Euro.Har bra erfarenhet av Auto Europe sedan…
Har bra erfarenhet av Auto Europe sedan tidigare.
Men funderar på vilken valutakurs ni använder eftersom man får priset i Sek men när betalningen ska göras så är det Euro.
Många kreditkort tar även en hutlös avgift för Eurobetalning så priset blir mycket högre än första priset.

Auto Europe takes your money, but no responsibility
I prepaid a rental car through Auto Europe for pickup at Palermo Airport on July 17, 2025 at 23:00.
I arrived on time with my driver’s license and documents, but had forgotten the credit card used for booking. I offered to pay with another card, cover extra charges, or add a second driver – but the local provider (Sicily by Car) refused to help and canceled the booking on the spot.
Despite this, Auto Europe refused to refund me, claiming I didn’t cancel in time – even though I didn’t cancel at all. I was there, I tried to solve the issue, and I received no service whatsoever.
Sicily by Car told me Auto Europe is the one that took the payment and is responsible for the refund. Still, Auto Europe hid behind inflexible terms and offered no support, no refund, no credit – nothing.
I had to take a €120 taxi in the middle of the night – all because Auto Europe refuses to support its customers when something goes wrong.
Avoid Auto Europe. If anything goes slightly off plan, you're on your own.

We are truly sorry to hear about the difficult situation you experienced at Palermo Airport and the frustration this has caused. We understand how incredibly stressful it must have been to be stranded without a car in the middle of the night, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and added expense you incurred.
We recognise your concern about the refund, and we want to explain why this decision was made, even though it's certainly not the outcome we or you would have wanted. As stated in the Terms and Conditions on your booking voucher, which you received upon confirmation, it is explicitly outlined that:
"Auto Europe does not refund should the client present an unacceptable credit card at the counter or a credit card with not enough credit for the deposit."
The requirement for a valid credit card in the primary driver's name, specifically an embossed, non-electron credit card, is a critical condition set by all local car hire providers for the security deposit. Unfortunately, without this specific type of card or sufficient credit, the local supplier is unable to release the vehicle.
We understand that you attempted to resolve the issue on the spot, and we truly appreciate your efforts. However, as Auto Europe acts as a broker, arranging your car hire with the local car rental company (Sicily by Car in this instance), the rental agreement itself is ultimately between you and the local provider. Our role is to facilitate the booking and collect payment on their behalf. The strict adherence to these terms by the local supplier, even in challenging circumstances, is why we cannot issue a refund in this particular situation. These policies are in place to manage the financial risks associated with vehicle rentals and are applied across the industry.
We deeply regret that you felt unsupported. We strive to provide excellent service, and it's clear we fell short of your expectations in this instance. While we understand this explanation does not alleviate the negative experience you had, we hope it clarifies the policy as outlined in your booking documentation.
We sincerely apologise again for the distress and inconvenience.

Never again
I used Autoeurope for years and never had issues: last time we rented a car in Portugal and we needed to contact them to change the driver name only but no one was available and we had to pay 250 euros! The worst was their standard reply arrived 2 days later not caring at all about our concern and our money: this is how they treat loyal customers? Never again!

As a broker, Auto Europe connects you with car rental suppliers. When you book through us, we send a voucher with your details, including the main driver's name, directly to the rental company. Once that voucher is issued, changing the main driver's name isn't always easy and depends entirely on the specific supplier's rules. Many companies see a driver name change as a brand-new booking, especially if it's close to pick-up. This is because car rental agreements, insurance, and liability are all tied to that specific driver's license and credit card. Since we're your broker, we have to follow the rules set by the company that actually provides the car. While we always try our best to help with changes, we're bound by their policies.
We also understand that waiting for a refund can be really annoying. When you have to pay extra on-site, we need to talk to the car rental supplier to confirm what happened and the amount you paid. This means the supplier has to look into it internally, and that can take some time because of their procedures and how many requests they're dealing with. We can only process your refund once we get their confirmation and authorization. We always try to speed things up as much as possible, but we do rely on the supplier's response time.
We know this explanation doesn't change what you went through, but we hope it sheds some light on why things can be complicated as a broker. We're always working to improve our customer support and how we communicate, especially for urgent situations. We appreciate your comments, because they are invaluable to find the areas where we ca improve.

Använder alltid Autoeurope
Använder alltid Autoeurope för bokning av hyrbil. Funkar toppenbra och priserna är bättre än när man bokar direkt via uthyraren.
