doesn't look like the picture. headboard in the picture is all one piece that attaches to the base but you get only the top half delivered with what can only be described as 2 sticks to hold it in place. the material inside the ottoman is just cheap plastic, fit for a garden to stop weeds growing.

the plush velvet is nice, it's just a shame about the rest of it.

Honest review of my purchase with Barclay beds. Probably one of the worst purchasing experiences I’ve ever had. I wanted to purchase a bed with a bit of customisation to suit my bedroom and there are a few companies out there that do it. Barclay beds had what we wanted and it seemed like a good company (obviously I didn’t do enough research)
It later becomes apparent they are basically an e-commerce company that sale a manufacturers beds. All these companies put their orders to this same Yorkshire based manufacturer. It later becomes clear this is true.

Bed ordered and I’m happy. It states 3-5 day delivery that’s not the case. Don’t know why it states that seeing as it’s made to order. It arrives and I’m happy looks great.
Week later I’m finally finished decorating and ready to put up my new bed…… the card top was caved in by the delivery team. Didn’t notice until un packaging.

Messaged the company and wanting to get a solution. Stated they will notify manufacturers and get back to me (Friday) Monday I message again to ask what could be done and again, we will sort it etc. I get a call from someone and it’s to discuss replacement and I was happy to wait. I understand it’s not an overnight solution. After 7 days I messaged again to see if it’s at least been dispatched. They then asked whether I wanted a new top of new divan section. I realised it hadn’t even been manufactured. I stated i was hoping by this time you would say it’s left and will be delivered Monday/tuesday.

I was very dissatisfied at this point. I then asked to fix myself and receive a partial refund. They came back to me with a £30 refund…… I was gobsmacked. To fix a broken bed that cost over £500 I was insulted. The guy handling my case stated it wasn’t financially in their interest to offer more. Stating it wasn’t his fault blah blah. I was like you have two options £100 or a full refund and return….. he made the £100 work. Supposedly from the delivery company.

The guy I was talking to was very nice and understanding. He seemed he wanted to get it sorted but I feel they dangle carrots.

When I finally fixed the bed and started putting it together I noticed yet more disappointment. Not enough feet, the bolts for the headboard are 20mm too long and cause a bulge in the headboard, the base of the ottoman is poorly constructed with protruding un counter sunk screws. The metal joiners are a silly idea and the separate divan lids needs better fixings.

Overall the bed looks nice but would I buy it again……. No and avoid these sort of companies like the plague!

Also there were no nails to attach to the bed frame, the whole experience hasn’t been good.
Quick to take my money, the order was incomplete.
Cant really use these beds as they have not come come with the necessary instructions n materials needed to build the frame.

Easy ordering process, great bed and mattress. Communication lacked as I received no acknowledgement of my order only the receipt I paid. After 4 days I called them to check they had received my order. Was delivered 2 days later. They came super early which I was greatful for.

Have not reviewed the bed, headboard or mattress. The van delivering broke down. I was informed it would arrive on the 29th August and it didn't arrive. The person I spoke to denied he promised this date. Seems more focused on his narrative than sorting this out. He never contacted me to let me know what was happening with the courier. I had to sleep on a sofa as I had arranged for my bed to be disposed of. I'm due surgery next month and in my 70's. This has enhanced my pain. I have had to make other arrangements so I have cancelled this order. Terrible customer service. I was understanding about the van breaking down but not of the way I was treated and dismissed re the 2nd attempted delivery.

I specifically ordered a bed with 2 left hand side drawers. It arrived with one drawer to the left and one to the right which was disappointing. Weve requested a new base be sent out so just waiting in that have no idea how long that will take.

5 Star treatment from start to finish; kept in contact all the way till the bed was delivered, and the quality is 5 Star. Many thanks; we would recommend this company 100 percent

Excellent business. Deliver came within 7 days and I was given a heads up. The delivery staff were so helpful and the quality of the bed and mattress is excellent. Highly recommend them

Update - The bed has since been delivered and is lovely but sadly delivery wasn't great and was left with no instructions but fortunately after speaking to the company they sent them across. I will sadly never use this company again due to the fact they have been calling and messaging me multiple times a day to update the review but can't give that customer service to provide an update after spending a lot of money on the bed.

They seem to care more about reviews then providing generally good customer service.

I was told my delivery would be this week when I ordered, I have not heard anything from the company to discuss delivery. I have tried reaching out but heard nothing.
This company needs to have more proactive communication.Once I have received the bed in good condition after hearing communication I will update this review.

This Headboard is fantastic quality.. fantastic price.. Gives the room a luxury feel. Delivery was quick and the delivery guy was friendly and professional.. Delivering inside the property 👌 and not just curb drop ..

The customer service l received when l had an inquiry was excellent

The delivery had to be rescheduled and I had to contact the company and chase them up a little but to their good the goods arrived promptly

it is my first time buying the bed with Barclaysbed.com I like the bed very comfortable and delivered on time good customer service

Although there was an initial issue when the delivery company damaged the headboard, the customer service team handled the situation extremely well and quickly resolved the problem.

I am absolutely delighted with my floor-standing headboard. It is beautiful, well made and was a fraction of the price of similar products I found on other websites.

Overall, I am very pleased with this company and the excellent service I received. I would not hesitate to purchase from them again and would happily recommend them to others :-)
