Worst company I've ever used quick enough to take your money but they won't pay out I would never recommend them to anyone what a joke of a company

The worst company I’ve ever dealt with have to pay money out for diagnostic checks taking my care to different garages takes them an age to make a decision all the while I’m stuck without a road worthy vehicle. Will be taking this further customer service is disgusting. Even when they do agree to pay takes them too long to pay the garage so cars been ready all afternoon n they can’t sort the payment in a reasonable timescale disgusting !!!

They are very dishonest warranty company never 👎 willing to pay I make a claim and after 1 month later said we need cause of failure they only pay for small faults not major fault all people aware for this scum bugs stop taking Warrentes for black star sh@t Warrentes company avoid avoid

Had issues with my clutch so took it into the garage and reported back to warranty as they wanted. They replied saying they needed cause of failure to which I asked for clarification and was explicitly told that wear and tear would be covered (I asked them directly). Was taken back to local garage who confirmed it was wear and tear for Blackstar to refuse the claim as 'wear and tear is not covered'. The whole process of the claim was then finding excuses not to process the claim and making me jump through ridiculous hoops, following all their guidance for them to contradict what I had been told to avoid paying out. THE WOST customer service i have ever experienced and have reported to all bodies. Do not even bother considering this place

Absolute scam, complete con and will do anything to get out of paying a claim.
Also very rude.

What a great experience I had from Blackstar Warranties. My car broke down and home and after one phone call to them they had the car recovered and taken to a local garage for inspection. They then phone and said my car was all repaired. Lovely people.

Great service. Repaired my car. Friendly staff and they kept me up to date.

Had a 12 month gold policy and car had an issue with the wiper motors. Put a claim to warranty company and they told me to send a report from a garage stating the issue and the cost to repair. I asked my garage to do this for me and within an hour of sending it the garage called me back to say it was agreed and they had been told Blackstar warranties would pay the repair. I had to contribute £35 towards the repair. Really easy company to deal with and my garage confirmed they were paid immediately. Very impressive.

The turbo on my Ford Focus failed after ten months of owning car. Put claim in to warranty company. They found me a local garage to get it repaired. Had to send in proof I had serviced car whilst I owned it and then they paid the garage for the turbo. Friendly staff on phone and repair was hassle free.

Great and straightforward company to deal with would recommend. Paid out to fix my car. No hassle at all.

Had a silver policy that was provided by the car dealership. Made claim as car was knocking when driving. Found the staff very helpful and efficient. Had to pay £35 excess. I was kept informed as the claim was processed. Good and professional company to use.

Everyone should know about this company, absolutely brilliant. My daughter has recently passed her test and her car broke down whilst she was out by herself. She called Blackstar Warranties and they arranged recovery of the car to a local garage and our daughter was brought home. Astonishing service! Next day Blackstar was on the phone to us to confirm that the car had been diagnosed with a failed coil pack and they had authorised the repair. Car was fixed within 24 hours and my daughter was back on the road. Blackstar went above and beyond with their service. Will now be taking a warranty out with them for my own car.

Had a gold policy and the gearbox failed on my car. Blackstar warranties paid my mechanic to carry out the repair. Great company with great service. They kept me up to date and I had the assurance that the work was being done properly as it was done by the garage that looks after our cars

Thank you Blackstar Warranties. Car broke down and they had it recovered to a local garage. Car was diagnosed by their approved repairer, they paid for the repair and car was sorted. Brilliant service. Everyone should have a policy with them

Made a claim for an oil leak on car. Had owned the car for 4 months. Told to get car inspected so used my own trusted mechanic. A report was sent to Blackstar Warranties they approved the claim in under an hour. Car was repaired and they had paid my mechanic before I even collected my car. Super service from Blackstar Willis recommend and will renew my warranty

Terrible experience. I had my car only 12 weeks and was told they would not replace a coil spring due to ‘wear and tear’.
The car had only been driven 1500 miles. The answers and reasons they gave me for refusing my claim contradicted themselves.

The warranty is not worth the paper it’s written on.

I have gold warranty which states coil springs are covered…. Apparently not

Avoid avoid avoid!! This company advised me to go and get a diagnostic check out of my own pocket when I'd had the car 48 hours and to take it to Quick Fit. Quick Fit advised they don't cover the work needed to be a done and it wouldn't come up on a diagnostic. I called back and got told I would get a call back a few days later.. Still waiting 7 weeks on. Then my car diagnosed a filter needed changing but the car should have had a full service 8 weeks prior when I bought it. Called Blackstar to be advised I needed to pay for a diagnostic (it's diagnosed itself!!) Then was advised after I questioned it that it wouldn't be covered under warranty. I called the company who sold me the car who advised they are a bunch of monkeys and they don't know what they are doing and advised me to bring the car b
ack and they will fix it. Honestly never dealt with a ruder company who will do anything not to help!

Could not recommend highly enough. Had two claims in last 12 months and they have paid out on both without any issue. Really good warranty.

Not recommended. Absolutely rubbish.
I waited two months for approval. I repaired the car myself. They rejected my claim because I did not wait for approval. No contact from them.

Had a Blackstar warranty and found the company very easy to deal with. They sent me to Kwik Fit for a repair and Blackstar agreed to carry out the repair. I did not realise that I had to pay a £35 excess charge which was a bit of a surprise but apart from that great service.
