Had my door replaced today by Brackenwood
Installer Vasilis, was excellent. Great job done, efficiently with comprehensive care instructions provided once the installation was completed. Vasilis cleaned up once he was finished and the entire experience from sales to installation was hassle free. Would highly recommend.

We (Anthony and Laraine Head) had our windows and doors replaced by Brackenwood windows last week. The service was exceptional, they left the house each day clean and tidy. We were impressed and the fitters Leroy and Kayne were a credit to Brackenwood, always providing us with a smile and a joke.

I am not one to leave ‘bad’ reviews, however, on this occasion I feel I should. I contacted Brackenwood Windows last week. After the first initial phone call, I was a little hesitant after being asked if I was the sole owner on the property or if it was a joint mortgage. I confirmed to the gentleman on the phone that I own the property with my Husband. After that, I was told “ok, I will arrange for you and Mr Tait to have the surveyor come over at 4pm tomorrow to give you a quote”. I tried explaining this time wasn’t particularly convenient due to school pick ups etc but I agreed and left it as it was. Monday arrived (22 March 2021) and at approx 1pm I had a phone call from the surveyor. I initially thought he was calling to confirm our appointment, but how wrong was I! He asked what our requirements were and I began to tell him that we would like a glass roof and bi-folding doors. He asked the approx area in which we would be having our conservatory so I told him around 12msq. Following this, the gentleman’s response was “well, we are going to be looking in the region of £18000-£20000, so it’s quite expensive and I don’t want to drive all that way and waste my time”. I asked if this included the foundations as well and he said no. I explained that we had much cheaper quotes than this and his response was “well I think on this occasion, we are going to have to say no to you”. The more I think about this, the more insulted I am!! To start with, yes, I may own the property with my husband however, who are they to say my Husband has the overall say?! And to follow up with a phone call prior to visiting to more or less say they’re too expensive for us! Again, how do they know about our finances and who are they to judge whether or not we can afford their prices?! I have had 4 quotes now and not one of the companies asked to see both my husband and I and not once did any of them query our finances! Today, I am extremely pleased that I paid a deposit for our conservatory to be built and am so glad I found excellent customer service elsewhere!

I contacted Brackenwood to enquire about getting some brand new windows for my property.
However upon dealing with the staff, I learnt that there is definitely a lack of customer service training at this company. I dealt with rude staff members throughout the experience. I had a lot of questions, it's a big investment so wanted to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted, however the staff weren't interested so I will definitely be spending my money elsewhere.
After seeing these reviews, I'm glad to go elsewhere.
Please avoid this company.

I previously had Brackenwood in to replace all the doors and windows in another house, so approached them to quote for a new front door at my new house as was familiar with the quality of their products. I specified what I needed via the door builder on their website, they then came to quote (sales man called to offer an earlier appointment but was happy to wait when I said I would not be available). Quoted price was reasonable for the quality so went ahead. Prompt to arrange the technical survey and door available within quoted lead time. Vasilis came to fit our new door. Vasilis was punctual, polite, professional and tidy. Vasilis carefully removed the old timber door and frame and did an exceptional job of installing the new door for us. Vasilis managed to lock himself out during the install, but we are all human ;-) He gave a great demo of the door once finished and was so impressed with the door and job that he took pictures for his own reference (with my prior permission), showing pride in his work! Thank you Brackenwood for another job well done, I have another couple of projects which I will be contacting you about in the future.

In January 2020 we decided to have our front entrance door changed for the composite type and settled on Brackenwood after visits from 2 other companies. Their salesman was full of the usual 'let me call my manager' and 'we can give you a one time only special deal' cr&p, but we liked the product on offer and placed the order.
The fitters came and soon had it installed, but on inspection it was obvious the etched glass design in the glass was put on by a (possibly) blind person and very crooked, the lock cylinder was not the type we had ordered and paid extra for and to top that off, they had come out without the correct trims to finish externally.
The fitters also left drywall screws and plastic off cuts all over the lawn and in the road.
After making a compliant and withholding final (due on completion) payment, another glass panel was ordered. This showed up three weeks later and unfortunately was just as bad as the original.
A new lock cylinder arrived but they got that wrong yet again.
Some time later the trims were finally fitted and the correct lock cylinder arrived.
On complaining about the glass a second time we were told, choose another design or live with it, as it was (in their opinion) no longer a fault, but now a feature!!!
We decided to live with it on the proviso they offer us a small discount, not only for the defective glass but also for poor service and an approximately five week wait from starting the installation to finishing it !!
NO WAY we were told.
It was only after withholding final payment for another two or three weeks (despite threats of debt collectors) did we finally get a discount of 10% and a reluctant, shoulder shrugging apology.
We would much rather have had the job done right on day one, as promised, paid full price as agreed and not have had to demand money off but it seems once they get your order and initial payment you are no longer 'their top priority'.
We are replacing our French windows and sidelights next but will NOT be inviting Brackenwood to tender.
Altogether, an absolutely appalling experience and service.
July 2021 update, the locks playing up now.
I bitterly regret using brackenwood.

Very disappointed with the manner & customer service we received from one of the salesman. He was blunt, almost to the point of rude, confrontational & very unpleasant in his conversation. Unfortunately his attitude lets down the company & has put us off any further dealings with Brackenwood Windows.

I hired Brackenwoods to change and add new windows to my house. We had a total of 10 windows, 1 skylight and a front door to change.
From the sales man, Luke, to the surveyor, Gary, to the installation crew, through to Neil for payments we had the best experience we could hope for. Everything was perfect, and smooth. Luke offered us a free upgrade to a longer skylight which I find amazing. The crew worked at a very good pace, cleaning everything after themselves and completing the installation in just 48hrs. I will gladly recommend them to anyone needing new windows and will come back to them when I will need more windows for the 2nd phase of our project.

Hello, Sorry for the long message as this would explain my recent experience with Brackenwood Windows Company which was Not Good.
Initially I saw their advert on FB and instantly I send my interest and to my absolute surprise I got a response from the salesman Rob and he came to my house the same evening.
Due to the pandemic he said he wont be coming inside my property. So I had to explain everything while he stood outside, to which I could not figure out how much he understood.
After I agreed, the next person was the Surveyor (Ian) who came and took all the measurement.
He seemed to be Ok to start with, now since I could not show the Salesman the inside of my property and what I was looking to get done, I had to show and explain it to the Surveyor, which took a little extra time, now this is where things didn't go well with Ian, he very clearly became agitated and sort of spoke to me rudely and was more concerned of his next Customer, forgetting I too am their Customer.
I wanted our front door to be opened the other way around, which was my main concern and interest and I stressed this point well enough to Mr Ian, and as a professional you would think that he has understood, but since he was in a Rush to finish with us ASAP, he didn't do the drawing or make a point of it, and me as a Lay person thought it to be correct of what he has drawn and Signed the contract. (Legal Flaw of Signing the contract)
Now on the day of installation there was 2 gentleman who did a fantastic job of changing the windows and did a good neat job but after they had fitted our Front door is when I noticed it was opening the same way as it was before. Now I was not at all HAPPY.
I spoke to the Manager Neil, I was told since I have signed the Legal Contract they can't do anything, and that it was my fault. He even went on to say that even if I went to court I don't have a strong case against them. The manager told me if I have to change the door I will have to pay the full price of a New door which would be approximately £750.
Now since I paid and Signed the contract I had to be contented with what they've installed.
My experience and what I had to go through, someone else should not, so be careful specially during this time of Pandemic what you sign up for.

I am SO impressed with this company.
I am currently renovating a 1950s house that is in desperate need of love. Every time I touch a bit of plaster it falls off!
I can't praise Brackenwood enough for my new windows. The sales staff gave no pressure. I strongly advise going to their showroom as it certainly helped us make a more informed choice re: types of windows and handles.
We can't praise our fitters, Matt and Alex, enough. They were prompt, worked tirelessly and listened to our requests re: finishing off trims etc. They were both respectful and charming despite our house giving them extra challenges due to it's state of disrepair.
I am SO happy with the results.

Had the top floor of a semi re-fitted with Brackenwood windows in July of 2011. Paid over and above the cost of several other suppliers for what was allegedly a premium product (argon gas?).

Since then we have had numerous windows replaced due to moisture working its way between the panes of glass.

Poor workmanship or sub-standard materials who knows but longevity is not a word associated with Brackenwood product.

Can’t praise this company highly enough. We had all our windows and two doors replaced. The company were a pleasure to deal with from the first point if contact, the salesman, the surveyor, the filters and the accounts department. Equally as important there was no high pressure sales approach and the product was very good quality and at very good price. We were particularly impressed by the two fitters, Mark and Martin who polite and helpful and always put down protection at the beginning of the day and cleared up at the end.

We had all our windows and doors replaced by Brackenwood in 2010, with a 10 year guarantee. The installation was carried out to a high standard and we were very happy with the work done. So much so that we recommended Brackenwood to a friend, who was similarly pleased with their work.

Unfortunately there was an issue with the after-sales which wasn't handled very well. That however was a long time ago, water under the bridge and no blame attaches to the current management or staff at Brackenwood.

Fast forward to May of this year, and one weekend we noticed a pronounced wobbling of the frame above a double set of french doors leading out to the patio. Cue major panic, and a phone call to our builder who came out at the weekend, hired props for us and installed them to shore up the frame above the french doors.

Our builder then took a deeper look, felt it likely to be an issue with the installation of the french doors and noticed emerging issues with 2 other windows, which weren't apparent to our untutored eye until he pointed them out.

We contacted Brackenwood as soon as we could, and I have to say that their reaction has largely been fantastic. A surveyor arrived within a few days, saw that there were indeed issues with the way the windows were installed - and in fact with 3 windows as well as the French doors - (I gather that a change to some of the methods used had been undertaken by Brackenwood back in 2012) and assured us that all would be dealt with under the 10 year guarantee. No argument, no fuss whatsoever. A few days later a builder arrived and spent 3 days remedying the situation. We are awaiting one final visit to correct a couple of further minor issues.

The one negative note was that when we subsequently asked Brackenwood to reimburse the cost of prop hire and either make good or reimburse the cost of redecorating accidental damage to one interior wall the initial reaction was not what it should have been. However, I have now escalated this and received extremely prompt and satisfactory closure.

I always maintain that the true values of a company are shown by how they react to a mistake or a fault, because it's inevitable that we'll all get it wrong occasionally. Apart from the one point mentioned in the previous paragraph Brackenwood's response has been exemplary, as have been the standards, conduct and professionalism of the 3 people from Brackenwood who have been to our house.

I'd really like to have made this a 5 star review; unfortunately I do have to deduct one star for the issue mentioned above but I do recommend Brackenwood to anyone considering using them.

Good customer service! Prompt attention and smooth purchase. We treated ourselves to new front and back doors replacing the originals. The rep arrived on time and was knowledgeable. A clear contract was given immediately listing payment schedule and installation date. Fitters arrived early and were efficient and friendly. Installation was smooth and they cleared up!

Great company to do business with and would certainly approach them first for any future business.
