Buyer beware, hit and miss/ bad communication.
I had an ok experience, ordered a 2k ish tool chest and it showed up as described,no damage but not really any communication.
Company can be slack with communication,and thats even if they send you your order based off what I've seen online.
Buyers use at your own risk.

Terrible customer service, I contacted them on their chat and said I was trying to purchase something on afterpay, but when I was checking out I went to choose the payment method afterpay and it wasn't there. They replied with “it should come up on the checkout page when you scroll down - we have afterpay and zip”
Yea way to state the obvious that I clearly stated I already knew, but absolutely no assistance with it.

Made two purchases over the last 6 months, both were excellent. Great customer service and items arived quickly and very good quality. Will definitely be using Buy Kiwi Direct again

Terrible online store. Bought a Sony earphone thinking it was legit store but got caught in the scam. Had real Sony earphones to compare with when it arrived. Had subtle differences, but nonetheless the phones were fake. Do not trust buying from this site unless you want to part with your money.

I got sent a cat tree with most dimensions being correct to what was stated. It ended up crooked . Then after emails back and forth they say they will send me a different part to fix. That will be interesting as many parts are nit the correct sizing. The qaulity control must be poor. Also much nicer in picture than real life. Looks more yellow than cream. Update received part, still not level. I was then told they are not going to do anything, my expectations are to high. Mmm I didn't order a cat tree that had a bed on a bad angle . Dont buy , they dont care and then blame customer

Trying to contact buykiwi.co.nz & buykiwidirect.co.nz by phone or physical address to confirm details of a carseat for a toddler & to collect as I needed it within 3 days was impossible. Pleased I checked Trust Pilot reviews. It confirmed these sites are unreliable & do not have an actual store, admin or otherwise in New Zealand.

Sold me trailer lights and one light doesn't work. Emaild them and they just pass you onto someone else without a care in the world. But will happily take you're money. Heres a nice one star for youre time with helping me, not.

First and last time, brought an led makeup mirror, barely any packaging and the box was all squished. If you want to sell items and buy items in NZ lift your game or people will just buy from overaeas

Ordered a pressure washer as listed on their site. Paid by card. No update for a week. Received a message from the actual seller saying the product was not available. Sent an enquiry to BuyKiwi and was offered either another (more expensive) product or a refund. Asked for a refund. Still waiting for my money, more than two weeks later. Definitely don’t recommend this crowd and definitely won’t buy from them again.

Ordered a play pen. Wish I had looked here first.

Item was completely different to what was described and pictured

Item didn’t show up. Called customer service, who had no record of my order, abd couldn’t even find the item by SKU on the website. Said I should have received a tracking number, which may have gone to my junk email. I didn’t. They couldn’t give me a tracking number. Kept referring to ‘the team’ as a separate group, said, ‘this is just a call centre, we don’t have access to that information.’
Still waiting to hear back via email.

I wish I had seen these reviews before buying off Buy Kiwi. I had a similar bad experience like many here. They were reluctant to refund, putting the onus on the seller company (Kiwi Grab), who reluctantly agreed to refund me. Buy Kiwi said it was up to the seller to refund me, but the seller only refunded me their sales proceeds and not the commission that Buy Kiwi charged them. I then asked Buy Kiwi to refund their commission of $99 but they refused. They have not replied to my further email requests. I will not buy off them again and do not recommend them at all as to refuse to refund a commission which they did not earn, is both unprofessional and unethical! They have lost me (and Karen and others), through not refunding when refunds are due. What morons.

I purchased a treadmill through Buy Kiwi (seller: TheShopSite) and it arrived faulty. I reported the issue but received no response from the seller. Then I suddenly got a message from a shipping company saying they would pick it up – but no one has confirmed if I’ll be refunded or given a replacement, or even if the pickup is legitimate. I expected Buy Kiwi to step in and support customers in situations like this, but the lack of communication has been extremely disappointing. I would not recommend using Buy Kiwi or TheShopSite based on my experience.

Shocking customer service, really do not recommend you purchase of this website. They are not compliant with the CGA and are a pain to get a refund from although they sent a faulty product. Seriously, take your money elsewhere or expect lots of hassle trying to get your money back from them.

The item went all over the country on a road trip with some shipping company I had never heard of. Aramex
When we did get the item, the actual contents of other details were on the outside of the package. No packing material.
It had a strong flavour of Temu all over it.
Then, finding it at half of the price I paid with FREE freight, from elsewere.
Another company taking advantage of the "KIWI" brand. Unacceptable.

They sent my item to a Wellington address same street number and street name. I live in invercargill. They claim I put a Wellington post code on. Why would I do that ??!!
The confirmation email stated my address in invercargill and same with I billing address but with a Wellington post code.
Item sent to Wellington and I don't receive it. I contacted them and they said it was their fault will send another. Waited few days nothing happened. Called them again but they said they were investigating. Few
days went past no reply from them. Called again and they said would get back to me. Got email said I put the wrong post code and I had to pay another lot of courier fee to get the item. Sick of dealing with them I reluctantly paid the fee. Waiting for another week no notification from them regarding when they might dispatch the item. Called them again. Got email next day said out of stock 2 weeks wait time!!
It's a joke to deal with this lot. Bought this 31/05 it's been 22 days

I must mention one adverse comment about Buy Kiwi in an otherwise good experience. Having ordered a product from Buy Kiwi they handed off the supply of the item to Shop Site, which was an awful experience, please refer to my review there. However when I finally had had enough of trying to deal with Shop Site and went back to Buy Kiwi for a resolution they acted quickly, great communication and a full refund, including courier charges was in my account within a few days. I would say buy from them, but only if they guarantee to leave Shop Site out of the process.
