I have been with Central Housing Group for over 10 years and their service has been exemplary; communications with me as a landlord has always been quick, professional, effective, and honest and definitely a good company all the way around.
Forced here to see, drafts, damp carpets ruining my leather footwear and sofas, mouldy, rusty washing machine, damaged utilities. Bribed using gas man, not British Gas.
2 years to do anything and you have to get a paid person, as ignorance is bliss to Central Housing.
All fans do not works 3 ceiling and cooker do not work.
They break in using sets of keys, while the temporary vulnerable isolated long term disabled tenant who goes out, and scoops around to steal items, killed my 2 kittens when the mice arrived, leaving objects for the police to take as evidence.
DFS Leather Electric Recliners 3, 2, 1 all ruined by damp which the refuse to get a Damp Specialist.
How on earth could anyone REGISTER THIS FAULTY DWELLINGS?
Landlord parks infront or so does the kebab man, so I have to park 5 door away, most horrible behaviour.
Most derelict hovels with mice and summer flies running inside cupboards. Multicoloured foam from 1960s, means this place has never seen professional hands to correct all. Undercover workers all qualified by who?
Gas and electric are extremely faulty and randomly cut, even while cooking. Each week I had to call each week or day, telling me how to reset the fault. I knew they never cared and forced me to be an Unpaid Caretaker.
Bath has rust around the hole, which means no baths as they used to get a call each month and "Jo" till I realised they do not care. The bathroom tiles were so bad, dirty, caked in grime I dreaded the steam falling down and touching me. Fan makes so much noise and no action to clear the heat in the hot water.
Mouldy smelly washing machine is heading towards the concrete garden now a wild forest now.
Radiator in bathroom is saturated with rust and they do not care in the slightest. Light switch in the passageway is corrosive and rusty too.
Walking in to their property, is like walking in a steam room and windows open and no fresh air moves around even with the glass front door open. "A"said all doors rule day 1, all doors must be closed so the mice can have their own party without me knowing. First time for everything, right.
2 Notices to quit and saw the mice trashing so much everywhere, inside and out of cupboards. Really glad they let me have the cats. Waited 2 years to have their words completed for the garden to be cleared and sadly not cleaned anymore, since the DATA BREACH 2 yrs ago. Nothing gets done, but all worsted my health.
Cats would appear frightened, now after taking me to court, next door the landlord woild break in and befriend my cats, till they tried to steal my cat last October 2025 caught them and then, my cat was indoors and brought me a mice. Next door stopped calling RENTOKILL and stole my cat which I still pay for at the Vets. Saying in 3s this is their cat and lying to police.
All staff are so unhelpful and sound lovely over the phone. Leaks in the bathroom, but the snoop around in the bedroom, to steal and leave items behind to remind me, they will always be cowards, getting paid. While I go out. Naturally supported by Thieves or Landlord next door.
Toilet blocks every 5 weeks, was cleared and made worse. Using a toilet brush to clean the orange stains from the bathroom tiles and to clean the sink and a mop to wipe the toilet, I felt sick and had get some more bleach and clean his nasty ways. Blocked for almost 4 wks again now and Enfield with Central Housing do nothing as usual. No bath, no toilet, no sanitation and no heating. Pouring water outside, while the passageway is squelching and I slowly walk on leaking lino, from their wonder qualified staff, doing this for 50yrs.
As bedroom radiator is timid and the rest of the bungalow is hot. Hot radiator for the mice and summer flies in the kitchen/living room. Bonkers. So I freeze with the winter, even with electric blankets, as the constant drafts and summer i want to wear a swimsuit as a T- shirt is too hot indoors as I will sweat as if I just had a shower. Terribly awful to say the least.
How on earth could the council rent 6 to 13 yrs of derelict hovels, financial exploitation, modern day slavery or told be on the street hmmm. Shocking.
All staff will not do a good job, no lights work outside for almost 2 years, waited 2 years for many jobs as usual, as they collect rent money and all my belongings are ruined due to the damp steam hovels. Light switch pops out and waited about 2 years to get it done, as I do not trust them anymore.
Best advice do not rent from Central Housing Group, as they completely do not care and will upset your health and well being, while they steal objects and hide like greedy cowards. Dangerous liason with Central Housing & Enfield, to remain happy.
I realised I could not trust anyone at Central Housing or Enfield, as they all lie to get paid, with slander and deformation of character all talk, no acts

Central housing are great when things are good, but when I gave them the contracted notice that I wanted my property back as interest rates were going to cripple us, they did nothing.! We waited over 18 months to finally get the tenants out...and that only happened because we took the tenants to court.! It's a disgrace, my family had several properties under their management, but central housing did exactly the same to my brother too. Our loyalty to them meant nothing to them and it was not only a very very expensive lesson for us, but we felt completely let down by the team. Shocking...steer clear..
