Alfie was his normal efficient self communicated well, worked quickly and fully checked the system, located a suspect panic button which he replaced. This all being done in the middle of a heat wave.

Access to building / notice & faults
Annual Alarm routine maintenance was scheduled by engineer Grant Stevenson 31/07/2026. Our building is not a manned building and we did not have prior notice to allow access. Normally we are informed beforehand.
Not sure whether Grant attended for the fire alarm or the building security/door entry system, however both have faults which were not picked up on the reports provided.
Our Fire alarm, having recently had the panel replaced is showing 'fault 15' we have known issues with obsoleteness of the detectors. We have a small budget to start to replace these and I would like to agree and approve works to start in the vacant & communal areas of the building, with a view to remove the fault displayed on the panel.
Our security/door entry system has a faulty reader and electro magnet on the Ground Floor (access to the former canteen and GF wings) and requires replacement.
Neither of the faults above were found or listed on the report dated 31/07/26.
Going forward, we require notice as a minimum of 48 hours for access to the building for maintenance, repairs and servicing.

long standing customer - expect better
engineers arrived on site without the part as was yet to be delivered so they went for breakfast. then came back and said they were going to a different job. eventually the part was delivered at lunch time. engineers came back about 3. completed the job only for it to go wrong an hour after leaving. was told i would get a callback about a return visit but i did not. the engineers did come back but a bit of communication would be wonderful!

I called the help desk after experiencing an issue with our domestic alarm system. The operator was quick to identify the potential problem and arrange for an engineer visit which had the alarm fixed within 2 hours.
