Authentic watch, good price, incredible shipping
The watch arrived from Hong Kong to ontario in 4 days and arrived on a holiday! The watch was perfect, just beautiful and as described. Supporting docs and manuals were included. The only downside was the cost of duty had to be guessed. A cost calculator on the site to accurately determine the true cost of the watch would be useful. After duty was added the cost of the watch was lower than amazon but may not always be the case. Do your research.

Not a domestic site
Product was exactly what it should be. Being a Canadian website, there should be no duties. Thats WHY people in Canada chose a domestic site. If youre shipping from abroad, like SINGAPORE, ethically that should be made known immediately. I shouldnt have to find that out by stumbling upon it in the reviews or comments section. Happy with shipping time and overall expediency but wont order from them again.

Transaction was smooth
Transaction was smooth, shipped very quickly. Only reason I don't give 5 stars is that it wasn't made clear enough in advance that I would have to pay a duty fee when receiving the watch. Still the overall price was better than what I found elsewhere

Really? Import fees on 'Free Domestic Shipping' ????
Don't be fooled by what they call 'Domestic Shipping' if you are from Canada. Although they call themselves Canada's online store for wrist watches, you will still unexpectedly get hit with import/custom/duties fees upon your watch entering Canada from Singapore/HK.
A poor job is done giving notice and explaining this matter on the website. I understand Import/Customs/Duties fees on International Shipping, but on Domestic Shipping... really?
The 'fun' didn't stop there, unfortunately. My watch was due to arrive at my house on a Friday before a long weekend, which led me to take the day off work. Citywatches' shipper of choice, DHL, decided to come to my door and leave a slip saying that they missed me, instead of actually ringing the doorbell or knocking on the door. Due to the fact that I had to pay the aforementioned Import/Customs/Duties fees, the DHL driver took the package back with him.
Upon calling DHL Customer Service and informing them of what this driver did, I was told that they would send a message to the driver to head back to my house within one hour. Two hours later, and no message was actually sent to the driver, and I didn't actually get my package until three days later.
After all that hassle and waiting, I just decided to pay for the Import fees and receive my watch. I figured it was not worth it to send the watch back and deal with more hassle with refunding, as well as waiting for the money to come back into my account. The only reason I did not give a 1-star review is because the watch did arrive as advertised.
Trust me when I say this, order your watches from Amazon or eBay if you can. I know I wish I did.

Delivery was fast
Delivery was fast. Items were as ordered. Terms and conditions page does list that taxes and duties are the customers responsibility. But, It will be a good idea to add a message at the checkout to this effect.

Great selection but not a true Canadian site!
I searched long and hard for a good online watch retailer with a legitimate Canadian offering. I came across CityWatches.ca and it seemed to fit the bill in both regards.
The online selection and product data is great. I picked a couple of watches that tickled my fancy and went through the checkout process.
Imagine my surprise when I was hit with a $45 duties charge at the door. Yes, these were shipped from an international location. This, on top of the original bill of $200.
For a site labeled CityWatches.ca and marketing itself as a Canadian source for watches, this was VERY misleading. There are a lot of US online watch vendors that will ship to Canada but also publicly state the presence of duties. I could have easily purchased from them, however I chose CityWatches.ca assuming a domestic inventory was housed. Instead I was surprisingly hit with a duty charge that was roughly 21% of my original bill.
If you do purchase from them, you might as well scrub the dot CA as it is not a "true" Canadian site IMO.

Pretty good overall.
Great job city watches....i would let customers know that although shipping in Canada is free, there are import charges to be paid as the watches actually ship from Singapore. I was charged an additional $27.45 on a $234.00 watch. I was expecting to pay some import charges, but it is not clear on the website, or upon checkout. Make that small change and 5 stars it is.

Skeptical at first, very happy overall
I was a bit skeptical of the website since it didn't have any reviews and I wasn't sure if the watches were genuine. After a bit of research, I placed my order on a Friday afternoon before a long weekend and received my watch on Monday morning of the long weekend (only 3 days). I was extremely impressed with the shipping, and I was prepared to pay the duties which were not a big deal ($30). Overall the packaging was secure but I'm not sure if it is the same packaging as retail, since the manual/warranty were packed separately from the watch box. The warranty card is stamped and dated for the day I placed my order, and the watch is immaculate. I'm very pleased and will be ordering from city watches again. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5: I wish they would show an estimate of duty fees when I placed my order. The duty was just my local sales tax (gst) and $10 of boarder processing by gov of Canada, so it shouldn't be hard to estimate.

Addional Fees - Beware
I recently purchased a Seiko 7T92 analogue chronograph from City Watches. The price was very good, it shipped quickly and the watch is great; just what I wanted. However, I was disappointed when I was charged more than $30.00 (Cdn), cash on delivery, for duties and taxes. I mistakenly believed that CityWatches.ca was a Canadian dealer, selling products from within Canada. That appears not to be the case. As a result of the additional fees, I ended up paying approximately 20% more than the advertised price.
UPDATE:
Your (City Watches) response (below) to my comments is off the mark and weak. I fully accept and understand that City Watches has no control over duties and import taxes, however, you have a responsibility to warn customers that you are not, in fact, a CANADIAN sourced distributer as your website would imply. When I make a purchase from a Canadian website distributor/seller (CityWatches.ca) (note: the "ca" in the address) I expect to be making a purchase wholly within Canada, not dealing with a middleman who completes the order abroad and then shoulders the unknowing consumer with import fees! Although your "Terms and Conditions" page mentions duties and taxes, the statement should be more clear and explicit, particularly during check-out, on the contract statement. Furthermore, the unsuspecting CANADIAN consumer has no way to know that duties and taxes mentioned on the Terms and Conditions page apply to them, the Canadian; the statement could just as easily apply to a foreign, i.e. non Canadian, customers.
BUYER BEWARE - in Canada, expect to pay 20-30% more than the advertised price for the watch that you may consider purchasing. I was snookered by this company; hopefully others will go in with eyes wide open.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY FREE SHIPPING. CUSTOMS BILL ON DELIVERY IS HEFTY.
Purchasing the watch was easy and the watch is great itself. The prices seemed very good, until my watch was brought to me by a DHL representative and requested a whopping $30 customs bill. Nowhere was it mentioned that I would be charged 30% more than what I paid for the watch itself, and if it was, then in a very fine print somewhere completely not obvious. As a result, I paid $136 instead of $106. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY FREE SHIPPING. VERY PRICEY CUSTOMS BILL IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF THE WATCH.
