I will never order from here again
I will never order from here again. I'm partly responsible for not doing my homework and researching the company better but after my "great deal" on a watch for $39, I ended up paying 90% the price again in duties to get it into Canada. I've read their responses to these reviews with the whole "duty is ALWAYS the responsibility of the buyer" and fair enough, BUT when your site is called citywatches.CA and you say "CityWatches.ca is Canada’s premier online store for Wrist Watches." AND nowhere does it say you ship FROM SINGAPORE that is DISHONEST!!!! BEWARE!!!

Scam and dishonest Websites (updates)
This is a Scam and don't buy any watch from this website. Customer Service here is a joke.When you wanna return item even if it is watch's problem. They will let you pay all shipment and also they have this kind of "Maximum 15 dollars" policy. so they will give you this "15 dollars" for your postage. we both know shipping back to Singapore (yes, they don't have any department in Canada, even they claim .ca website and "Canada leading online watch".they are all faking) will easily cost more than 50 dollars. and after all of this, you may still cannot get money back because where your watch go and who is behind website. and you cannot find any of their business site.Plus, the watch is not Gennuie.

Glad to have found this site
I am very pleased with my purchase, which arrived in excellent condition. Very quick delivery; ordered on Sunday, arrived by Thursday. Although there were additional fees related to importing, this is very easily offset by the free/fast shipping and the discounted price on the watch itself. If I were to buy another watch I would definitely check here again.

Watch selection is large and the price…
Watch selection is large and the price points are reasonable with sales pricing making a purchase very enticing.
Shipping was swift Singapore to Canada was 3 days with no issues, and the watch easily met my expectations.

Upon doing my own due diligence and contacting Invictus watch company. I have come to the conclusion that city watches.ca is a scam and the products they are selling are 100 percent fake. This is a warning to anyone buying from this website to STOP immediately. They scam you on false sale pricing to give you incentive to buy. I myself purchased the Invicta bolt 25555 originally priced for over 1400 dollars. City watches.ca. CA is Canada yet when you place an order expect to pay import duty on your watch from DHL and you only find out about that days after your purchase and you receive an email mail from DHL stating pay this or you don't get your watch. The watch fell apart after 2 weeks just walking down the street on the sidewalk. Upon contacting them they said here's 15 dollars to get it fixed. It would cost more then that and you cannot fix all the scratches and Knicks from it falling of your wrist onto the ground. Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE. SCAM SCAM SCAM. The post below is lying. My watch is completely broken from just falling of my wrist. Invictus the real company said this would never happen.

Be aware of import fees on so-called free delivery!
Delivery was quick but I thought I was buying from a Canadian company. Was surprised when I saw delivery origination in Singapore and unpleasantly surprised when the "free" delivery turned into a $36 charge for import fees, etc. from DHL

Watch showed up within 4 business days…no complaints
Watch showed up within 4 business days and is legit.
As far as people complaining about duties, taxes, etc.....it is spelled out clearly on the shipping page
1) Item ships from warehouse in Singapore
2) Taxes are extra. When you check out no taxes are charged, its no different than buying something in a store and getting PST and GST added (in BC) at the cash register.
3) I paid $8 in duty for my purchase really no big deal
At the end of the day I paid GST, PST on my purchase like any other purchase in BC and $8 in duty.
If you neglect to read the fine print or cannot understand plain English don't complain about being scammed and upset with your purchase.
I will definitely purchase from CityWatches again when I need a new watch.

I ended paying more duties collected by DHL with CityWatches than CreationWatches. The watch i bought at Creation is more expensive but less duty. "Less value for duty". Are they the same company?

As a Canadian purchasing from…
As a Canadian purchasing from citywatches I already knew the watch would be coming from overseas and duties and taxes would be involved. But the price was easily over $100 less than the competition - even with the duties. The watch shipped from Singapore on a Tuesday and was on my doorstep Friday afternoon - amazing turnaround - watch came with proper box and warranty - excellent seiko diver - would order here again.

Dishonest site, DO NOT purchase
The company outright lies on the website by stating that shipping is DHL "domestic Canada" orders. they do not ship from Canada.
DO NOT order from this site, if you do you are supporting scammers
edit to respond to below: they copy/paste this response on every review. do you really trust a company that can't answer a bad review with your money?
there is no option on checkout to select a different shipping method. It is automatically shipped via DHL, which is almost sure to get duties
if you don't want to pay duties, REFUSE the shipment and have DHL contact them for a return. that's what I did as I found out after the fact they don't ship from Canada. hopefully they had to pay the DHL fees both ways!

After reading other reviews for citywatches.ca on trustpilot.com, I new to expect to pay duty charges. My first order was an Orient Esteem II Open Heart Automatic, my first automatic watch ever, and it was exactly as represented. I happily ordered two more watches, (Citizen Navihawk A-T Eco-Drive Chronograph and Seiko 5 Sports Automatic 24 Jewels) and they both arrived quickly in one shipping box with no surprises.
Anyone should feel confident about ordering from citywatches.ca after doing due diligence. Know what you are buying and if you can find it elsewhere for a better price then do so. But citywatches.ca will come through with no drama.

didn't expect to have to pay import…
didn't expect to have to pay import duties on my shipment. Despite the .ca website, the shipment came from Singapore and I had to pay an extra $28 for duties. Free shipping wasn't so free.

Avoid these guys
Your .ca site leads one to believe that the purchases are Canadian. Nothing is mentioned about the buyer being responsible for duties, taxes, etc. My purchase showed a cost of $147.00 with free shipping. I was really ticked when the courier guy presented me with a bill for duties, taxes, etc. for more than $33.00 since the watch came from oversees. I would never have made that purchase if I had known I was going to end up with additional costs of almost 25%. I would never recommend your store.

Very bad experience...
Very bad experience.... I don’t recommend anyone this site . They are proud to announce theirselves as a Canadian online site and then they ship your watches from China through another dealer ! FREE DHL shipping on local orders, that’s what’s said in the front page in big letters ... ounce your order arrives at your door you will b told to pay extra fees for duty handling and taxes . A watch at 172$ Canadian cost me an extra hidden fees of 41.31$ upon reception that I had to pay cash or with credit card. I wrote an email to city watches to tell them about the situation and get payed those hidden fees and they totally ignored me not even an answer from them..... DISHONEST site and I don’t recommend anyone to make business with them . People who don’t respect themselves don’t respect others . Guests are ripped off when they deal with you .Thank you for your bad experience and keep working with the hit and run strategy guys!!!
