Great pepper mill. Reasonably priced, good range if colours

Excellent customer service in respect of a pepper mill which had broken and was out of guarantee from John Lewis.
A replacement mill was provided without quibble for one which had failed after 18 months use.
One star deducted for the initial design of the mill which meant that when it failed, bit of plastic fell into the sauce I was making.

Wonderful customer service and the communication was great as well.
I had an issue with the salt mill, not the pepper one. Emailed the customer service team and got an immediate acknowledgement, followed by a detailed query regarding the issue in next couple of days. Phoebe was very understanding, helpful, and prompt in responding emails. The complete set was eventually replaced due to the mechanical fault and warranty, thanks for all your assistance.

Lovely kitchenware.
I bought the Derwent Mills, they look great and grind well. Really happy with the carbon steal mechanism on the pepper mill.
Will they stand the test of time?.... I guess we'll have to wait and see!

We contacted Cole and Mason hoping to get a replacement spare part for an old pepper grinder. They have sent a complete new grinder.

Super customer service! Got in touch with them recently because my pepper mill broke which was a shame even though I’ve had the set for a few years . Same day reply asking for photos, details etc which i sent followed by another prompt reply informing me that a replacement mill was being dispatched. Very happy with this service and looking forward to many more years of seasoning !
Update…… first contact with them was Tuesday, received my replacement on Friday! Outstanding service!!!

Truly amazing service. Lost knob on my old pepper mill, eventually saw make underneath so contacted customer service to see if could source a replacement knob (which I had many times looked for unsuccessfully on ebay etc). Replacement immediately sent out free of charge, no questions asked.

My 6 year old pepper mill stopped grinding as central pin shirred off.
Contacted cole and mason as the mill had a lifetime guarantee.

They responded immediately to my email and asked for further information and photographs.

Once this information given I received a reply advising that my pepper mill had been discontinued therefore I was given a gift voucher to purchase a replacement mill.

Customer services helpful and efficient and I am a happy customer waiting for my new mill to arrive.

I was very pleased with their service, and helpful resolution of the problem. I had bought a carving board which after some two years developed a crack. They replaced it without argument, with a new identical one.

My pepper mill broke leaving a piece of metal in my omelette. I contacted Cole and Mason, sent them the details and photographs they requested. My replacement pepper mill arrived promptly.

Contacted via email , steps were a bit laborious but received an email to say a replacement had been approved. Beautiful new mill is now keeping its older salt relations company on our kitchen island!

I ordered the Epping Oil Spray and when it arrived I could not get it to work, despite reading the instructions (One criticism, the writing was very small - not easy to read). I telephoned the company and spoke with Phoebe. She immediately sent a video link and I was able to get the Oil Spray to work. I ordered a few other things as well and I am delighted with the quality and speed with which they were dispatched.

Contacted Cole and Mason when the mechanism in our pepper mill failed. Great service as we received a whole new replacement mill within 10 days of initial contact. Very impressed.

Pair of mills look beautiful together. Impressed that each came with two tops so would work for both salt and pepper.

Whilst the mill works well for salt it has worked less well on peppercorns and sadly I tend to reach for our old mill (also a Coke and Mason) rather than it’s new replacement

I purchased a Cole & Mason Oslo Salt & Pepper set from John Lewis in November 2023. January 2026 saw the pepper mill mechanism suddenly break. John Lewis couldn’t replace it as they were out of stock and said it came under a ‘written off’ policy so provided me with a gift card for the purchase price which was some £10 less than it would now cost to buy a replacement set. After a few weeks the set was still unavailable at John Lewis on line or in local stores, so I contacted Cole & Mason direct explaining the situation. After a couple of emails with them, including photographic proof of my original John Lewis receipt and that of the subsequent refund, Cole & Mason honoured a replacement Oslo set to me which arrived within a few days (even though I was told it could take up to 10 working days!).
