Coppergate clinic is a very welcoming calm clinic.
All the staff were very kind and reassuring.I had blepharoplasty or eyelid surgey in August 2025
I had wanted surgery for over 30 years but wasnt brave enough. !! Why did I wait so long. ??
It was painless and very quick. Recovery was uneventful. Out of choice I had a tweak to the eyelids in November 2025. Returned for final check today 12 January
Absolutely delighted.

Fantastic clinic
Fantastic clinic. Beautiful deco, really friendly staff, Alison was amazing as was Mr Bhatt. The whole experience was very relaxing and every step of my procedure was clearly explained. Felt a bit wobbly after so loved the special touch of hot chocolate and a chocolate bar. Very highly recommended thank you.

A friend recommended my surgeon
A friend recommended my surgeon, Christopher West to me and I saw first hand her amazing results of her face lift. I had my consultation in March 2025 and Mr. West recommended a deep plane face and neck lift and CO2 laser to areas of my face, neck & décolletage. I had plenty of time to prepare myself and underwent my surgery in January 2026. Mr. West is approachable and professional and I felt very confident in his hands. My anaesthetist, Martin instantly put me at my ease and the nurses who cared for me were so lovely. It’s early days as I heal and the swelling goes down but I’m in no pain and excited to see the changes each day brings.

Can unreservedly highly recommend this Clinic
It took me a year to pluck up the courage to have these procedures, so glad I did. The staff explained fully what to expect with the procedures, and most importantly the follow up healing process. Probably best to avoid mirrors for the first few days apart from cleansing routine 🤣. Very little pain, just a bit uncomfortable the day after procedure. The nurse who followed up after procedures was very thorough, kind and friendly. All necessary medications and cleansing items were provided and explained, plus detailed sheets to take home. From the reception staff, who allayed my anxieties, (procedures delayed due to unforeseen circumstances), with explanations and humour, to everyone involved, felt thoroughly cared for. 5 star treatment.

Upper Blepharoplasty
Premises very clean and welcoming. The staff are helpful and friendly.I found the actual procedure relatively painless(thankfully)After surgery there is a link with clinic available via whatsapp where you can get in touch with nurse for any concerns which was reassuring .
Mr Chris West was my Consultant he was both friendly and professional in explaining the procedure and what would be achieved. Overall I am extremely pleased with the outcome and would not hesitate to recommend Chris West.

All the team at Coppergate are very good, from receptionists through to surgeon. At all times in the process I felt I was dealing with people who knew what they were doing. In my case, I was under the care of Mr Rhodes, who I found to be reassuringly straight forward and down to earth and consultations with him felt open and easy. Initially we discussed concerns, after which he presented options. Subsequent consultations explored further those options, until we reached an agreement on how to proceed. I think the key thing is to feel some level of confidence and trust in your chosen surgeon and then to reach a point where you both feel comfortable with ‘the plan’. Confidence and trust in Mr Rhodes came from a combination of the many good reviews he and the clinic have gained and the conversations we had leading up to surgery. These combined, led me to believe I was in good hands and that’s as much about intuition and feeling as it is research and statistics. I would certainly recommend this clinic and Mr Rhodes - just decent. Nurses were very, very good too.

Upper Bleph/Dr West
I had an Upper Bleph on 8/10/25 with Dr Chris West and Nicki. I was really anxious but both Chris and Nicki put me at ease immediately & were really patient. Chris got my sense of humour and this really helped with my anxiety, & Nicki was so kind and held my hand & spoke to me all the way through the op. I arrived at 12pm and was back in my mum’s car by 1.15pm. I felt no real pain during the op & whilst I looked like Beetlejuice for a few days, I felt no pain during my recovery either. I absolutely love the results so far. I have eyelids again! Can’t wait to apply eye make up next week. Reception staff were also lovely - really helpful and spent time with you answering queries in detail. I had a call from Alison too when it came to removing the stitches, & she was brilliant. Overall a great experience & I’ll be recommending to all my friends. One has already booked a consultation. Dr Chris West is fantastic at what he does. Thank you to all involved :)

Paid £150 for a consultation about upper eye lid surgery.
I was turned down within 1 minute of walking into the consultation room.
I was in the room for a total of 9 minutes.had travelled 2hours to get there.
I had also had consultations before hand with 3 other hospitals/clinics in the uk . I had heard of coppergate as my daughter lived in York for 4 years and told me about it .
All because I wanted to get the best outcome and get an understanding of the procedure and if I was suitable.
All 3 other hospitals/ clinics said yes I was but Coppergate said I was not.
So £150 down 😢

In your case, our consultant felt that this particular surgery was not the most appropriate option for you at this time. That judgment is reached based on the clinical assessment, our experience, and our duty of care to ensure any intervention is safe, appropriate and likely to meet your goals.
Although the consultation may have felt short, our records show that the consultant did discuss in detail alternative treatments and advised you on options other than upper eyelid surgery. We understand this may have been unexpected, but our intention was to act with your safety and best outcome forefront.
We would be delighted to schedule a further complimentary follow-up discussion (either via phone or at the clinic) to revisit your initial concerns, review the alternatives, and help clarify why this particular surgery was declined at this stage, as well as ensure you leave with a clear, comfortable plan. We value you as someone who travelled to see us and want to ensure you feel heard and supported.

I had a wonderful visit to Coppergate…
I had a wonderful visit to Coppergate Clinic for a vr facelift and lower blepharoplasty with a fat redrape by Mr Waseem Bhat back in June. Mr Bhat listened attentively to my concerns and provided a personalized treatment that yielded positive results. The care I received from Mr Bhat and the team on the day of surgery was exceptional. I was put at ease and cared for to a very high standard. The entire team at the clinic displayed a high level of professionalism and made me feel so comfortable throughout my visit.
