J’ai acheté une paire de lunettes Costa Del Mar en version 580G en janvier, pour une utilisation en activités outdoor : pêche à la mouche, en mer, voile et randonnée.
J’ai utilisé ces lunettes moins de 7 fois, exclusivement dans un cadre domestique (voiture, travail). Elles ont toujours été manipulées avec soin, nettoyée avec le chiffon fourni, aucune chute ni exposition à un environnement abrasif particulier.
Malgré cela, les verres présentent déjà des micro rayures.
J’avais choisi ce modèle précisément pour la résistance des verres minéraux 580G et du traitement C-Wall. Je suis donc très surpris de la fragilité observée pour un produit de cette gamme.
Suite à ma demande, le SAV via Powerline n’a proposé aucune solution, estimant qu’il s’agissait d’une usure normale liée à une utilisation non adapté, sans proposer d’alternative.
En revanche, je reconnais que le confort est super et la polarisation est très efficace.
Au final, la qualité optique est au rendez-vous, mais la durabilité pour des activités outdoor et surtout la prise en charge du SAV ne correspondent pas au niveau attendu pour un produit positionné haut de gamme.

Took my fantail pro off and the frame broke after 8 months. Glass are kept in the case when not worn. Warranty was denied and unable to get replacement frames. Only offer was to buy a whole new pair. Also had a similar situation to another pair but they were 5 years old so I understood why I couldn’t get parts. When I called customer service for clarification and a link to right a review the agent hung up on me without a sorry or goodbye.

DO NOT PURCHASE COSTA SUNGLASSES. My wife purchased a pair for Christmas… less than a year ago. Within a few months the nose plate started to separate from the frame. So I went to great lengths to track down the purchase receipt. My wife purchased at @BassProShops. Their customer service is amazing! They retrieved the receipt from their database, and emailed it to me. I submitted a warranty claim, which was promptly rejected by Costa - claiming it wasn’t a defect. From their perspective, the nose plate separating from the frame within a year is normal wear and tear! I cannot urge you enough- there’s SO many other options than Costa. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS!

New sunglasses less than 6 months old…
New sunglasses less than 6 months old and the fame cracks above the lens. Costa will not warranty frame cracks. I have used Coasta's for 20 years and have all my boats crews using them and i will never wear a pair again. Very disappointing.

I’ve owned costa sunglasses for 25yrs, loves them, never had a problem with warranty-repair work Until today!!! They won’t warranty without receipt! That wasn’t when I bought them 10-15 yrs ago!
Polarization always shrinks but they’ve always been great about fixing them. Now Without Original Receipt there’s no warranty, not to mention ink fades/disappears 6-12 months, how do they expect someone to save a receipt for life! I paid top Dollar for Costas because of their warranty and craftsmanship! NOT NO MORE!!! BOYCOTT Costa!!!
On top of that can’t even buy parts- they discontinued ! Guess they’ve Gone Corporate!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't buy Costa Glasses
Don't buy Costa Glasses. Absolute worst customer service and warranty I have experienced. I paid over $ 250 for a specific pair of lowlight glasses for flats fishing. After 8 days of light use on the water for about 3 hours each day they fell apart.
I made a warranty claim. They said the glasses were covered under warranty. Then said that the specific glasses I purchased aren't available under warranty so I could pick out a different pair and then they only gave a few options....and told me that I only had 2 days to pick or else.
None of the options they provided were the same lens color and/or didn't fit my head. I then went on their website and the glasses and lens I purchased originally were available. I called them back, and they then said that they don't offer all their glasses for warranty. WTF. So, I asked for my money back and I would send the defective pair back to them. They said that they would not return my money. I said I bought the glasses directly from Costa. They said it didn't matter.
I just now called and asked to speak to a supervisor, and they put me on hold and then disconnected me. Unless your glasses are amongst the handful that they carry at their warranty facility, there really is no warranty on Costa glasses.
Hey Costa, I see you have replied below. I've been contacting that "help" email address for 2 weeks. You all have been giving me the run around. I have a pair of defective glasses you sold me that fell apart after a few days of minimal use. You told me you won't fix them and can't replace them with the same lens or frame. I asked you to refund my money then.....you refused. Worst warranty ever!

WORST COMPANY TO DEAL WITH
To navigate through the online claims seems easy HOWEVER they take you through ALL the steps again! THEN they deny claim filed NOT saying why but giving multiple reasons why it COULD be denied (NOT AT ALL SPECIFIC!) You CAN'T find a phone # easily nor can you navigate through the phone recording. When you finally get a live person (good luck as the navigation is lengthy!) you get someone who tells you all looks good and they will process! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE when denied?? Sounds good right? WRONG! I asked for a supervisor as this is sketchy, you hold for over 30 minutes! Then are told while they were holding for a supervisor they graciously checked the status and it was approved! Funny how that works out right?! THEN you get disconnected!!! GOOD LUCK, don't trust them and know you are told it is a lifetime warranty but they will deny and lie. Currently I am back on the line with them to get my warranty handled, NEVER AGAIN!

Used to be the best
Used to be the best, now just like the rest. I have purchased 3 Tuna Alley sunglasses from this company. Sadly I cannot continue our relationship. All 3 pairs' lenses(not covered under updated warranties)cracked in the same spot almost to the millimeter. I have put my sunglasses through the ringer and they never broke or the lenses cracked. They have been stepped on, flung from boats, bikes, 4 wheelers, cars, etc... not even a scratch. The glasses fall off my head and hit the ground at the correct angle and poof lense long cracks. ALL 3 of them. And my newest ones the blackout version cracked within 3 months. These cracks occur within millimeters on the same lense side. This is not coincidence, this is manufacturer defects. Costa, will not hear it and want what was once 60.00 USD to repair to 112.00 USD to repair which I have done in the past. I conceded with the caveat that I will pay only one fee of 112.00 to fix both affected sunglasses again me calling out and proving the manufacturing defect by posting the pics of both my Tuna Alleys side by side. They closed my case saying I can only submit 1 pair at a time. Which I did. I provided 1 proof of purchase receipt. I texted support. They wont even acknowledge my claims, resubmitting 2 different claims with the position that I will have to pay 224+USD as lenses arent part of the warranty. I warned them that I will leave a negative review. Here we are. Do not waste your money as the once best sunglasses ever are just another black hole for your wallet. You're better off going with a cheaper, equally built, and lasting vendor. MAUI JIMS cost the same and have way better warranties. When they were in Ormond Beach, Fl(going way back to the 90s) they backed their products, now they back their own bottom line. Sad day that this is how they have fallen.

I have bought multiple pairs of Costa…
I have bought multiple pairs of Costa Sunglasses over the years and their warranty process used to be great...well that has clearly changed. I have a pair of $200 sunglasses that were damaged by an errant soccer ball kick. Costa "determined" that the sunglasses (less than 5 years old) were out of warranty and offered a repair for $150...... That will be the last pair of Costa sunglasses I ever buy. What a shame they have gone so cheap and so classless. Abandoning the warranty, you use to hold so high won't increase your business.

Repair and Warranty are worthless now!
At one time getting your Costa's refurbished was easy and quick. As most who own them know the rubber temple guards and nose guards just rot off after about three years and are no longer covered under warranty. The lenses are great, but the frames are poor quality. I recently tried to have my Permit's repaired and they have refused to do so. Only offered me a discount on a new pair. There are many good options now and I am done with Costa's and I was a 20 year customer!!

They don't honor their warranty
If I could give a 0, I would. I purchased my glasses when they had lifetime warranty and had them replaced once before for delamination of the lenses, with a substitution. I now have the same issue and they want to bill me for the repair. That's breach of warranty. I bought them with lifetime warranty.
I've emailed Costa del Mar as requested in their response and will update my review as necessary.

Costa Del Mar is a fraudulent company that doesn't honor warranty and customer loyalty. After several years of service, several parts of the frame began disintegrating and falling off the glasses. Costa claims this is not a defect in material or workmanship. I say it's both. As a result they lost my business forever. Sad that they are dishonest and deceitful in their practices.

Costa Denies 90% of warranty requests
Costa use to be great but when they went from Florida to new location all went down hill. I have a pair of Tuna Alley Pro that are only 8months old and the frame broke at nose just from putting them on and no abuse. I use my case when needed and also Krokies to keep them safe.
I have only owned Costa for over 20 years. Customer service is horrible and they do everything not to speak with you and only want you to deal with a BOT and that goes nowhere. You have to send multiple pictures and receipt and still it looks like they decline 90% of warranty requests. When I finally got a person on the phone they told me even if the same thing happened in the first week they would decline warranty request.
I guess its time to move on to another brand as loyalty doesn't matter.

The worst customer service
The worst customer service! One of my lenses cracked after buying a pair of Costa's 6 months ago. I reached out to buy a new lense and they replied its out warranty and offered me a pair of glasses for 150 dollars. I just want to buy a new lense. The company is terrible! Zero communication. Stick to Maui Jims or another reputable brand who actually cares.

The only reason they got one star was…
The only reason they got one star was because I had to put something. Paid over $300 for pair of sunglasses had them less than a year and a half frame broke when putting glasses onto my face only thing they could do for me was offer me a new pair at half the cost will no longer purchase anything made by Costa Oakley or Ray-Ban since they’re all under the same umbrella I hope people read this message and come to the same conclusion. They’re about putting out poor product for top dollar and not standing behind it. It’s one thing to cut your quality down. It’s another to go up in pricing and offer less to the customer as far as a warranty is concerned. Will be taking my business to Randolph an American company that actually stands behind their product and takes care of their customer.
