Our Limited Warranty

Sunglasses (Non-RX Products)

For any sunglasses (non-prescription) purchased on or after November 3, 2022 that experience a manufacturing defect* in materials or workmanship within two (2) years from date of purchase, we will repair or replace them (with an identical or reasonably equivalent style at our option) at no cost to you. You will need a proof of purchase to submit a warranty claim for manufacturing defects. After two (2) years or for damage to your sunglasses not caused by a manufacturing defect*, we’re happy to service you with a separate Repair and Replacement Program. This limited warranty is non-transferable and may only be exercised by the original purchaser, unless local law in your jurisdiction requires the transferability of this warranty. This limited warranty gives you specific rights. You may have other rights that vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

Terrible service for overpriced product

I would not recommend anyone wasting there hard earned money on these over priceded glasses I was spending about 1000 every year for a long time on them but its like they have got cheaper an cheaper made every year I bought 2 pairs this year with the upgraded warranty on them an didnt have them long an one just the lens got cracked an other frame broke an they would not stand behind there product when we all know it doesn't cost that much to make them.

Exceptional sunglasses

Exceptional sunglasses! I live in the Keys, wear sunglasses everyday. Yep, I think I’m an expert on sunglasses. I still have my original costas which look like the day I bought them and they get beat up by salt, wind, weather. Amazing product! My family has at least 10 pairs.
Nothing compares, I’ve tried them!

Don't stand by their warranty

Do not buy Costa's they do not stand by their warranty. My glasses had a mysterious crack in the lens less than three months old. Sent warranty claim they said it was not covered. I will never purchase them again. The only reason to buy high end sunglasses is the warranty.

I have a pair off glasses from costa I…

I have a pair off glasses from costa I hardly used on both same issues the lenses shared faded can’t see a thing the quality on this total trash .back and 2021 obtain this as a gift not they no longer have lifetime warranty so they asking me to pay for replacement why will I pay if I will run into the same issue down the road best bit stay away from this brand products are total garbage no wonder they charge warranty policy 👎🏻💩

Wader glasses are trash manly cause of lack of quality and they no longer have a life time warranty. I have to come to second website to write a review which just shows how down hill this brand has gone down hill , do not waste your time

Your site makes it very difficulty to change/edit the order afterwards.
You could take lessons from Amazon.

Most frustrating online purchasing…

Most frustrating online purchasing process of my life (58 years old). I applied my vision insurance to the buying process and it was anything but straightforward. First off Luxottica/Costa was offering free, expedited shipping and free “ responsible shipping”, when I got to check out, it would not allow either to be selected. Going through the process a few times the price for the glasses changed multiple times.
$25 engraving was an option, but did not show up at checkout, I have no idea if it will happen or not.
Final price was $258, when I confirmed my cart, the price changed to 308 with no explanation, the price also did not add up correctly on the sales slip.
Waited an extra day and try it again, Luxottica was now offering a free shirt, nice right? No! Couldn’t change the size…AND WORSE at checkout you could only use your eye insurance for one item and the Luxottica website would not let one remove the free item! Therefore, I could not use my insurance benefits, almost tripling the cost.
Waited another day for the free shirt offer to go away, was able to complete the process this time, but the numbers still did not add up correctly, AND The free shipping offer, expedited and responsible, had lapsed.
I will reach out to customer service Monday morning.
I take sunglasses very seriously, and have been a big fan/user of Costas for 25 years. Hopefully the Internet experience with multiple glitches isn’t indicative of the quality since Luxottica bought them out.

Crew Points Program is a farce

Let me first say that I love Costa Del Mar’s products. Their apparel is excellent and very fairly priced and their sunglasses are high quality and last forever!

My issue with Costa is their customer service, specifically their Crew Points reward program. I have been ordering from them for at least two years and have enrolled in the program multiple times. I get daily emails from them for the program and all their specials. But I cannot find where I am getting their points. When inquiring today, they told me I wasn’t enrolled and they could not back-credit for the thousands of dollars I have spent with them. This is unacceptable to me. Luxottica just refused to do anything to satisfy me.

I will be reconsidering whether to continue to shop with them, no matter how much I like the product.

No longer a loyal customer. Low quality & No service.

I have note had the glasses a year and they broke. There are not any people in customer service. Just AI chat and impossible to find links to warranty requests. After submitting a warranty request I was approved. It stated I had a certain time to respond (guess the warranty has a self destruct clause I missed). Then it directed me to the same form I originally filled out. Then the request is denied. This is not something that I would have expected being a Costa customer for 20 years. I remember meeting them at a fishing show and trying out there glasses. I was hooked. If you want to pay up for a quality pair of glasses and are expecting any customer service you should go somewhere else. Not sure how they could mess up something that was so good.

I have been talking to them fora month about warranty, its been nothing but a living hell. Do not buy Costas anything n save your aggrevation

Twice on the same frame within less…

Twice on the same frame within less than 2 years the craftsmanship has failed. The frame cracked and they only offer a discount on a pair. The first time I too the loss I paid $140 for a $280 of reef pros. The second time they literally cracked while on my head and they won’t cover it.

Have a pair of Diego glasses

Have a pair of Diego glasses, the frame cracked and submitted a claim for repair or replacement, service center was a nightmare, sent pictures two times and then denied, but said to start new claim due to quality of pictures. My password dosen't work, said they would fix never did. tried to contact with chat and service was not working. Have had Costas for 15yrs but this experence is horrible. Have original box and reciept/2 year warranty/purchased 4/24.
Worst coustomer service EVER!!!!!!

Had glasses for approximately 6 months

Had glasses for approximately 6 months. The nose pad fell off. I still had the receipt and paid extra for warranty with costa and they would not fix or replace the sunglasses. They did however offer me 50% off a new pair. Why would I purchase a new pair if these pair didn’t last 6 months. Terrible customer service took two weeks to get a response. The sunglasses are not cheap to purchase and should last longer than 6 months. Save your money and buy from a more reputable company!

The whole thing was sketchy today

The whole thing was sketchy today. Credit cards all being declined, people hanging up on me. Then telling me my frames were out of stock. Talking to people at Costa seems completely counterproductive.

Warranty Exclusion at its Finest

Having owned Costa sunglasses for more than 15 years, they were always bought for their lifetime warranty against defects and workmanship. I have owned many of the frameless designs including Cayman, Gulf Shore and Ballast. They all crack at the screw support at top above nose bridge. They fail to secure the hole for screw with a plastic inset and washer to reduce any normal shock, heat expansion, and wear.

Well Costa has now sold out to a major corporate giant and silently removed their lifetime warranty. It was even printed on their boxes including my Ballast. So when provided copy of warranty and glasses with reoccurring issue, they declined warranty as user issue. Then they started demanded proof of purchase even after their records show it was replaced for same issue about 12 months prior. Costa failed to honor warranty and failed to upgrade product which would cost less than a dollar on a 225.00 sunglass.

In looking thru google, you will find a class action lawsuit currently open for “warranty” and “service” issues. Truly a great company that sold out and went downhill to try and move upstream. Shame on Costa.

UPDATE : Contact to Costa Client Services was of no help. They simply provide a similar form (or Ai) based reply. No true assistance just the appearance.

So I emailed them my receipt which only had them a week or two and the situation and over a month later I have heard nothing back. Ive just decided to cut losses and go with a different company with customer service and warranties that are valid.

Costa lost my sunglasses that I sent in for repair

It was the repair service experience that was completely ridiculous! I broke the glass lens on my Sullivan's. I sent them off for repair and paid $136.00 to have them fixed since they were "out of warranty". I rec'd an email from USPS with tracking info saying they were rec'd by "someone" at the McDonough, GA facility. I waited probably close to 2 weeks before I contacted Costa for an update. I chatted online with a rep and was told it takes (I think he said) approximately 15 business days? So I waited another week or so and "chatted" again with a rep who said he could see where they were rec'd but didn't have any other information. So he escalated it to a higher dept and said I would receive an email within 48 hours with an update. I rec'd an email from Costa stating that because my sunglasses had been LOST (even though USPS tracking stated they had been rec'd) that they were "gifting me" (basically) with a coupon up to $300 towards a new pair, which of course, I used because they "lost" mine and I needed a new pair. I paid $269.00 originally for the sunglasses 2 years ago that I sent in for repair this past September. Add that to the $136.00 that they charged me to have them fixed (and then to be lost) adds up to $405.00. So even though the coupon covered a new pair of Sullivan's, which are now $285.00, I'm still out $105.00 due to them "loosing" the pair I sent in. I have been a Costa customer for many MANY years (used to be an Oakley customer but decided to switch to Costa). I've heard a lot of people complaining about Costa's warranty for a while now. It's definitely not what it used to be! So, yes, I now have a new pair thanks to their carelessness, but I will NOT be purchasing Costa's ever again (nor Oakley's). I mean HOW does a company "lose" a pair of sunglasses even though you have tracking information showing they were rec'd??? I'm not a "happy" customer.
