Amazing support and lovely to speak to!

My application with Credit Counsellors Australia took 18 months to finalise — far longer than expected. Case managers kept changing, communication was poor, and I was left feeling anxious and powerless.

They blamed delays on issues I had already resolved early on, and the process dragged into another financial year due to their inaction — not mine. At no point did they take real accountability or offer an apology.

If you’re considering using their service, be cautious and ask detailed questions. I wouldn’t recommend CCA based on my experience.

At first i wasn't sure what to expect and i did get a bit confused with the steps, but the team helped explain things when i asked. It took a little while to get everything sorted. But in the end im really glad i went through with it. I don't have that stress hanging over me anymore and i feel i can breath again

Not Happy with service received. Still getting daily calls and texts from Credit Card Company.

I have a change in circumstances and I decided to liaise with my creditors before the final process so I canceled my agreement. I thought I was going to be refunded at least something out of the $31700 I have paid nothing in return.I have learned my lesson the hard way causing more financial stress. Hope I will be more vigilant next time and seek further advice.

This company has not laid out the costs & ground rules from when I originally signed up last November.

I realised I made some bad choices and was looking for a way to ease the struggle and I come across Credit Counsellors Australia and I spoke to Sheena and she was very helpful and made everything clear for me to understand. Even though I am at the start of the process, I already feel I have made the right choice. Now I can focus towards the future once it all gets started

We faced a tough situation, and on top of that, we had two children to take care of. We felt very frustrated and helpless during that time because no one could help us. Everyone avoided the topic of “money.” Fortunately, we met Sheena from Credit Counsellors Australia.

Service so far has been outstanding. I was nervous about getting on top of debts that I let go as a younger adult. Life got stressful, times got challenging. Chris was more than accommodating for my matters.

Signed up in May 2023 after a promise of no debt agencies contacting me up until August 2024 I was still receiving calls. I was receiving letters from one of The places I owed money to and I was told to ignore the letters now I have a default on my record because of this advice. At the end of the day I signed up to This company as I thought it was consolidating my debt but was Misled into Almost signing up for bankruptcy with a part nine debt agreement. I didn’t have significant debt to go bankrupt for also now they’re telling me I will not get a refund and if they sent this document four months before hand I will be $400 richer or at least that money could’ve gone to one of The companies I owe money to. I asked the lady on a recorded line. If I pay / sign up for this will the credit default be removed from my record? She answered yes which was a lie. Having to chase this up with Afca extremely upset.

Years of carrying my personal loan from the bank was stressful. I felt locked in even though I paid my annual payments. After realising how the bank were actually operating I sorted help and by chance I found Australia debt councillors. My experience and help I received from Sheena was uplifting and the heavy burden on my shoulders was immediately lifted. Her response was fast and effective and after years of this financial stress I almost had forgotten what it was like to breathe again. It was like a new feeling to me. Thank you Sheena for your help and im now going to find others who are struggling with debt and think there are no answers or way out. Debts are mostly caused by no fault of our own even with the true intent of paying them. But its the struggle of trying to get out of them with high interest rates and fees. Its there that the quick sand keeps you in the same spot. I highly recommend anyone that's struggling in debt to reach out to Australia credit councillors and free yourselves.
