for the fact that a vast majority of people using this service are incompetent and lazy mixed with the countless complaints they receive from people who cant follow the simply laid out instructions on the website and the applications page you cant really fault them. At the end of the day the ones on the phones dealing with all the abuse are no doubt paid minimum wage and have to deal with an insane amount of abuse for things that are out of their control but nobody stops to think that, pair it with the fact so many people want everything done for them or refuse to do research into what the requirements are for the cards its no wonder the phone agents will seem so fed up every call. Give them a break an you will no doubt notice an improvement.

Absolutely shambolic

Absolutely shambolic, they've move the application process online.......It's even worse! Hardly ever works, if you submit a query , it take weeks for them to get back to you......And then says please phone up!

money making scam. shame so many companies want this stupid card to be able to work now. they cant even be bothered to reply to emails or pick up the phone. paid and passed my tests. still no stupid card in post which is now needed for some sites.

I needed to renew my CSCS Specialist…

I needed to renew my CSCS Specialist Gold card. I attempted to book the Health, Safety & Environment test which is mandatory. It was a total nightmare of ringing numbers but unable to speak to a person. Automated messages taking me round in circles. Phone numbers which linked up to private companies in Plymouth and had nothing to do with CSCS. Eventually I managed to book through a third party who charged £43. I went to Pearson Vue Testing Centre in Oldham and was put on a faulty PC which kept crashing. I had revised and knew all the answers but the PC did not register them resulting in 56% fail. FRUSTRATING is an under statement. The government should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this legalised robbery to carry on. Ordinary people are required to show the card to get on site and actually do a days work and it is costing a fortune for the privilege. Had to rebook a test through CITB and spoke to an actual person, Irish girl, who kept saying she couldn't hear me when in fact it was her accent, dulcet tones and faulty phone that was the problem. WHY is this such a shambles and rip off? Who owns Pearson Vue training? There are no phone numbers to contact anyone to complain? Makes you feel like throwing the towel in.

5* for uselessness

I applied for my cscs card in June, the exact same day as another employee. My employees card arrived 16/06/20 and I’m still waiting for mine 4.5 months later. Apparently, it was sent but never arrived (even though no money was taken), then it was stopped at printing, and now I’ve been waiting for a response from their technical department since 03/09. I keep making contact with cscs to be told the same thing ‘still waiting for technical to respond’. This is totally unacceptable for a service that I have paid for, in fact I’ve paid twice as they’ve since double charged me! Completely useless company. I’ve tried to make a complaint just to have it closed!!

I took the H&S test and the photo was…

I took the H&S test and the photo was rejected by CSCS. How can someone with one job to do get it wrong? Tried contacting them online, 5 days later I was forced to phone to find out what was wrong with the photo. No clear answer, no feedback.

The blood boiling company!

The blood boiling company!! Took my money straight away in July..its now September and still waiting for replacement card. Cant get on to building sites amd when i call there is no time limit apparently and then when you get frustrated they put the phone down! Surely something needs to be done! Daylight robbery and they could literally push people over the edge as they are unable to earn anything whilst they wait for this muppet show of a company to send them their training card!! I cannot believe they can get away with it!! Disgusting

Firstly a 1 star rating is to good for…

CSCS TESTING COM.Firstly a 1 star rating is to good for this type of company, but unfortunately it’s the lowest it goes,
This company does a very good job of replicating the official website ,
I was stupid enough to not sus this before booking !
The £21 cost of the course is buffered up by a £27 admin fee !
You book your date and time and they forward you a different date without consultation; on this occasion a month later, with an accompanying statement That once your test centre date is booked you cannot cancel, followed buy a £5 charge if you wish to reschedule,
To top it all It is a 0345 number with a landline charge of 9 pence a min , up to 55 p a min on a mobile.
Pissed off is an understatement

The CSCS experience makes your blood…

The CSCS experience makes your blood boil. I have 4 employees that need a renewal and I've just spent over 2 hours initially on the phone because my account needed to be re-activated, but that wasn't possible so I had to create a new account. Once this was done I completed an application for one employee, and after many difficult processes I finally fulfilled all of the criteria, saved it, tried to make payment but nothing happens when you click that option, so after a minute of head scratching I clicked save again to ensure it was saved, refreshed the page and everything has been deleted and the application wasn't saved or stored anywhere. If I have to do this process again 4 times for 4 employees and it miraculously works each time I could still waste half a day, that is unbelievably poor service. So frustrating...

Glad to see I wasn't the only disappointed customer. Just think you spend about £200 on qualifications, then you have to spend £36 for a card that only proves you've done those qualifications (why aren't the certificates OK on there own?) so we pay £36 to this company for proof of the qualifications we already have proof of and all we get is 1 big mess around. Imagine if you was as lazy and incompetent on site! Been waiting 5 days for them to process my application. It took me the same time to pass the citb test and level1

Countless phone calls

Countless phone calls, countless attempts to use the website and still nothing. This service is 100% untenable. customer service line and employees are frighteningly incompetent. The website does not work at all. the government and industry need to take action and companies need to abandon the scheme. I believe it can only be described as an industry scam and i will be contacting my employer and government to request that it is abandoned in its entirety with haste.

Ironic that a system designed to prove a workers competency is run by probably the most incompetent company in the country - been trying to renew a card for nearly 2 weeks on their website (now the only way to apply) and having nothing but problems

Sort your company out CSCS

Worst company ever just after a simple renewal on my card they make it sound so easy all online, is it heck! Website is impossible to use so you ring up hoping they can do it on the phone, after a 45 minute wait you get through and they are no help they tell you to try again online if it wernt for the fact you need the card to be on site I wouldve gave up and burnt it

This system needs a total overhaul , what a joke.

This system needs a total overhaul it’s so difficult trying to get to the right place for the right card. You have to register to renew your card, but doesn’t work right, try calling 40 minutes, 1 persons tells you 1 thing another tells you something else, totally unworkable.

Abysmal company to deal with

Abysmal company to deal with. Seems like nothing more than a money making scheme, I have been trying to get a card for 4 months now and still no closer to receiving one despite me taking the test and passing with a 100% score. I keep getting told that I need to submit my qualifications which I no longer have hard copies of although in the past I have submitted these but due to a system upgrade on there system they have been lost each time I call it is a 45 minute call and I get told different information off each representative. Shambolic to say we are not allowed to work on site without a card yet it is taking 4 months to get a card! They would not care one bit if I was out of work for 4 months without wages. It should not be this difficult to get a card!

Wholly Unsatisfactory

Wholly Unsatisfactory - the countries 5th largest industry is handcuffed to CSCS who seem completely incapable of providing a functional interface with their clients.

I'll have a little bet that the company that provides their IT was nice and cheap and doesn't have the resources to keep up with CSCS need to constantly change everything.

As an employer you can't apply for cards because the system is dis-functional (by their own admission). Then the employees need to re-register because they've got 'legacy accounts' which are out of date since things have moved on and which nobody can see.

I could not conduct business in this fashion I despair!!!
