Mark was fantastic! We were having a lot of issues because of a not-so-perfect initial setup. Mark went above & beyond to help us pick apart the issues, find solutions, and work towards a better setup. He was very kind, responsive, and respectful. He was patient with us while we asked about 100 questions! Mark's new support team is a huge add to cin7.
Migrate to new CIN7
CIN7 Implement Team just finished a special project for us - to change CIN7 Base Currency. Under their help, a new CIN7 account is opened and most historical transactions are kept which is invaluable for our sales team.
There are difficult times during the process. The managers are able to adapt and reorganise the resources. It has taken longer time to finish the project. But it is well worth in the end.
After trying different Inventory systems, we find CIN7 is the best, linking with Xero flawless.

Issues Successfully Resolved
We had issues with the data not fully populating in a report. After a few unsuccessful attempts to resolve it via email Cin7 set up a Zoom session and was able to resolve the matter fairly quickly. It was a pleasure to make contact with the Cin7 customer representative who was extremely patient and helpful.
Excellent Software, Minor Frustrations with Support Booking
We’ve been using Cin7 since back when it was DEAR, and overall, the software is excellent. While there are a few limitations that occasionally create challenges, we’ve always been able to find workarounds that keep things moving. All in all, it’s a strong system that works well for our needs.
That said, I do find the support process a bit frustrating at times. Currently, the only way to get phone support is by emailing tech support, and they schedule a call without checking if the time suits both parties. I’d really love to see the introduction of a booking page as an alternative—something that would make communication more efficient and user-friendly.
On a positive note, I recently had a support call with Anitra, and she was fantastic—quick, clear, and effective in resolving all of my issues.
Hopefully, a more flexible support booking system can be considered in future. With that in place, I think the entire experience would run even more smoothly.

Suwashini was very accommodating. I love that she immediately initiated a call to save us both time traveling back and forth. I also love this new feature that support can now drop a link so I can share my screen. That saves us from the trouble of misunderstanding what the issue is. I used to hate the chat support in cin7. A lot of things can get lost with just sending images and typing in your concerns so this new feature is a surprise for me.
We've used Core for over a year now and…
We've used Core for over a year now and it's transformed the way we work. It can take some getting used to in regards to our practises, but it has helped us keep an accurate inventory of our stock and it's been a perfect way to capture all of our sales. Our onboard specialist Shuaib has been an integral part of setting us up and maintaining our understanding of the systems in's and out's and will continue to do so. Honestly, I consider him part of our team and I wouldn't want Core without him. His knowledge and professionalism is what everyone should strive for.

I am extremely frustrated with the customer service I’ve received, particularly from Bijal Brahmbhatt. My concern was not treated with the urgency it required, took a while to get responses, and I was told that the issue I raised doesn't disrupt our business, despite my detailed explanation of how it does.
The issue was that we were unable to add more users to grant access to our sales representatives, and the only users with system access were the admin team. It took over a week to resolve the bug on their system. How can this not disrupt our business when we were unable to sell during that time? To temporarily resolve the problem, I had to disable access for other admin staff just to grant the necessary access to our sales representatives.
Furthermore, supplier information cannot be hidden from our sales team, even though they should not have visibility of it. As a result, our sales team has access to sensitive information, which undermines our internal access control policies. The only workaround available is to remove product details access entirely, but this restricts access to other critical product information that our sales representatives need to perform their duties.

Mark Dessanayaka saved the day for me and my business. I started using Cin7 Core a year ago and we paid for onboarding but the people that were assigned to us were not helpful in understanding how our business with a co-manufacturer worked with stock purchases vs. service purchases. After almost switching to a Cin7 competitor I was fortunate to do a couple working sessions with Mark. He was patient to understand the flow of my business from PO to sale order. He suggested an alternate method for workflow which wasn't suggested by our original onboarding team. I feel confident now that it has simplified the process saving time and headaches from accounting perspectives. I recommend Mark as the onboarding manager from the start so these solutions don't start from the beginning rather than him fixing issues after the fact. Thank you Mark!
