Terrible experience, no support from Etsy. Seller clearly lied about the product, sends me 2nd hand product and wants me to bare return cost to ship it internationally.

I'm leaving Etsy for the second time. I bought two tees this time from two different sellers but their shirts were both an issue. I ordered a large, I have always ordered large and they always fit me well. But these 2 sellers products were NOT large, they were huge! They were described as unisex but these tees were more like a men's large, both of them.
I wish I could show you the pictures I sent the sellers. Both shirts came halfway down my upper leg, I was swimming in them. I have never in my life ordered a large that turned out to be so huge. One seller wouldn't refund my money, and said they've never had any issues with other customers about size, i find that very hard to believe. I can't even finish reviewing because I'm so upset. Both times I've been on etsy, it's been a horrible experience and I've spent thousands on that website. Never going back there after I get my refunds!

Etsy - eBay?- I really missed the boat on this one. I thought Etsy was a major retailer. It turns out they are more like ebay than a retailer you can trust. I bought a 757.00 computer part. It never came. When I filed for a refund it was turned down and I was told that the person who sold it is no longer with Etsy so they do not stand behind it. They referred me to PayPal who also wont stand behind it.
I thought Etsy was a responsible retailer. NOT SO.

I ordered from StageDoorMerch I ordered from Florida and her shop was in London. I order three awesome bookmarks that are very sturdy and the magnet clip is strong. There are no imperfections and they are handmade. I was astonished at how fast they came in. Less then a week. Definitely recommended.

Awful service. I ordered 2 gifts for my wife's b day 2 weeks in advance. They took money but absolutely no follow through with shipping or order verification. I had to go to store spend twice as much to ensure my wife had a birthday gift. I have reached out to customer service and received no reply. I will never purchase from etsy again. They will not refund my money. Beware!

I have never tried to use etsy customer service, but my experience of ordering from various sellers has been very positive. I have deducted one star as there are some very inappropriate and disturbing photos (even when searching for socks!) which have no place on a clothes/crafts website! Please be more vigilant etsy!

I will add gifts to pamper & etc.(oils, lotions, potions,bath bombs)😳My very 1st. time ordering from this site purchase of bath bombs & bath salts(plural items?)😳....NO PLURAL ITEMS SHIPPED 🤦 ONLY 1 ITEM EA.(😌 decided to email seller about shipment expenses & total of items ordered) I received a response couple days later 😲 y'all, and let me tell ya I bought 2 items for almost $20 (1ea.)🤷... The one reg. bath💣 didn't smell (🍊) nor did the itty-bitty plastic vial of gardenia bath salts(more salt than gardenia)🙄... Y'ALL!!!🤨,IT WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN!!!! "Some people should be ashamed of themselves for passing off such gimmicks during a pandemic 🤔".... Won't use purchased items in bath, they were just to dad-blaine expensive 💸💸💸💸💸💸 PS: wrapped 🍊 💣 in clear plastic w/ tied string would have represented alot better w/ ribbon & ribbon for the plastic gardenia vial of rock salt would've been nice too 😌.. Etsy has so many varieties, and I like the structure and everything about etsy, it is empowering enterpreneurs of all over the world.

Great diversity in product with some real gems in terms of vendors. Worth spending a bit of time looking at reviews to see what has gotten the best reviews. Shipping is generally from the US so might take longer if you're european.

Great concept riddle with flaws!

Ive been purchasing a couple of items at Etsy and have had little to no disappointments related to the orders.
The website however is starting to deteriorate.

The whole idé of listing "custom" or "homemade" items from independent sellers has fallen since now there are loads of store selling cheap factory made knock-offs and thus drowning the honest ones.

I was searching for a Kaliba, about 70% of the search results were factory China made cheap replicas in different colours. It was a chore just to find the homemade ones.

Thus brining me to my 2nd complaint, please allow me to further customize my search preferences. I want to purchase items from within EU, where its transported from EU. Allow me to exclude sellers from certain countries of my own picking!
I don't want to pay an extra tax-fine just because I didn't know the item came from outside the EU trade agreement.

It’s probably the best alternative to Amazon. Some sellers are spot on. Some, not so much.

Shut down my friends page with ZERO communication, gave no reason as to why they shut it down. They’re refusing to refund them their money either. WORST company to ever deal with

I ordered two items from a store, got my money debited, received an email that the items were dispatched, with a time frame. Never received the items, contacted the seller via Etsy. I thought I could still receive something as the items were dispatched and I didn't ask a refund. I was still refunded. It's good as I didn't lose my money, but what about the deal and the fulfilment of the order? The vendor, who had more than 1000 great review, said that Etsy closed his stored without explanation. OK, but I never received any email about that. Granted, it's between them. But what about the items supposedly dispatched? Where they ever dispatched? Was it a whole lie?
Bottom line, you see something nice on Etsy, you can't even trust they would fulfil the order anyway. Risk of losing time and risk of losing money (I didn't at the end, but gamble when placing the order).

All in all, not good experience.

I feel less secured than if I buy on Ebay. Good thing is a I bought with Paypal, if there were any funny business I could have gone to Paypal to cancel the transaction.

I won't buy from the seller anymore,
I won't buy from Etsy anymore.

There is zero trust here.

Having opened a redbubble store about a month ago with zero problems and great support I decided to try etsy (big mistake) Having invested 2 days setting up a fulfilment print service and etsy store, uploading 2 designs and getting everything looking OK I log in to my account and navigate to my store to be greeted with a shop suspended notification. After following the help links I am told I may have been sent an e mail. No such e mail arrived(spam was checked) I have e mailed them 4 times,no reply,I have called them and was told they would reply,they have not. I will now close the store as I will not invest time in a business partnership with a company that cares so little about their customers/partners.

I have placed and order for 2x the same item.
I finally received my package today (after waiting 3 Weeks) only to find that they only sent one item - which is VERY disappointing. I am not going to order from Etsy again.

Recently came across this website while looking for graphics cards. I noticed the cards were being listed for fairly reasonable prices, but after some research found out that those Etsy sellers were scamming! Essentially what they do is accept payment, then never actually ship the card. Etsy doesn't seem to care to remove the listings.

I have been using Etsy for years to support independent and smaller businesses and also because of the uniqueness of their items.
They have a great variety and supply of almost anything you can think of. I don’t believe I haven’t been able to find something I was unable to find elsewhere.
Their check out is easy (I use either PayPal or ApplePay) and I don’t recall having issues with sellers that weren’t immediately addressed by them without having to resource to Etsy or PayPal as mediators.

I ordered a door stop from etsy and am very disappointed in the quality and look of it which does not look like the online site. It looks cheap and It does not keep the door open falls over when the wind blows the door. The owner of the company said I was rude when I wrote asking for a refund which I was not. It was £70 which is a lot of money for a rough piece of concrete which doesn't do what it should. She said that I should have take the weight of the door into account but how would I know that. I just want to return it and get my money back which on the site it says you can.
Shame because I have always been happy with goods from Etsy up to now. Can you help as Fibala the owner will not. I am sorry to say after this experience I will not be buying from Etsy again. Please sell goods made in the UK!
