FirstPoint USA Reviews

I've had a great time with first point, the communication was on point the teaching was one point that tips were on point and overall they're really friendly and really nice you could get well with them easily.

High quality trials, tuff drills but overall good for accessing ability

Very helpful
Good intensity
Good understanding and energy

I felt that the trial was extremely helpful, professional and informative.
The staff were friendly, attentive and gave detailed instructions and answers to questions raised. They were great at giving instructions and supporting the players.
I was happy with the amount of detail given in both the presentation and the training itself. It felt very professional but also reassuring. They were great at connecting with the players and it felt very thorough.
I would highly recommend attending the trials and the fact that the group was kept fairly small, meant that you knew they were assessing you in detail.

the coaching and the explanation on the next steps to go after the trail

We found First Point by googling. We contacted a few and chose FP because they seemed to offer a more personal and wide reaching service.
This proved true, mainly because our consultant, Murray Fraser has been excellent throughout. From the first zoom through to Jack leaving for the US and beyond he has been amazing. Helpful, knowledgeable and always available to respond whether on calls or messages and sometimes late into the night or early in the morning.
As a widow with no knowledge of what we were going into I was looking for someone to see us through what has been sometimes a complicated and emotional experience. He helped navigate some tricky situations and difficult choices without ever making us feel like they weren’t our own decisions. His best advice has been to go with a coach you feel a connection with and who believes in you as a player. Jack was lucky enough to choose between several offers and the one we went with has proved his point entirely. Jack is absolutely loving his American experience so far and has a great relationship with his coaches and teammates. He is excelling both academically and on the pitch.
Murray has been integral to the process and I can honestly say we couldn’t have done it without him. Highly recommend.

My son was at International School in HK and we would likely have paid overseas fees for UK University so after he trialled here, we enrolled him in the First Point program. He had some help with his Linked In profile, uploading videos and setting up meetings with coaches online. The overall experience was good. He chose a US University that did not offer scholarships for International students however, and this is the limitation of companies like First Point. Our contact Jamie provided advice when it came to preparing for college, Visas and other admin support. It is quite an overwhelming process to apply for Uni in the US and First Point helped along the way but you and your child need to do a lot of work too.

The overall setup was very well executed and covered all aspects when it came to the main parts of playing football. I heavily enjoyed taking part and proving my place in the program. The coaching was well produced whilst talking through drills and explaining why these certain drills were being performed.

It was really good, great staff a pleasure to be there felt welcomed, great drills to rlly show your skills

The trial was very straightforward, the coach who was doing the session was very tough however he was very good demanding more from me from the warm up to the very end. What I enjoyed the most about the trial, was the passing drill as it was something I’ve haven’t done in terms of such detail. Overall my trial was good and pushed me even further in development thank you.

It was interesting and on point, I really enjoyed the day and the opportunity given to me was highly appreciated.

Muchas Gracias Lorena y Sara por estar pendientes en cada momento del proceso. Tranquilizandonos y aconsejandonos de los tramites incluso después de estar ya en el colegio.

Coaching really unbelievable. Throughout my careers I have played academy for the most part and the coaching received from first point USA was superior. I am really looking forward to my scholarship and I couldn’t recommend it any more.

The experience was amazing, some of the things that made it so great was the introduction at the start going though a PowerPoint to show what this opportunity offers and showing us what it’s like in the USA for example day in the life of a college student this helps people understand what the experience will be like if you get a scholarship. What also made it really good was the staff, they explained everything really well and taught the drills well. I also like that they give a lot of people an opportunity to do something like this because it changes peoples life’s in a good way and this process sets young adults up for there future.

Very professional set up. I'm glad I attended. My aim is to try my best to go to America for a scholarship. The trial was an excellent experience and the coaches at the trial was so good I just knew it's what I want to do in the future. Competition was high as lads there were a lot older than me, a lot bigger than me and had more experience than me. Which made me have to step up my game.
Foulston park Plymouth pitch was so nice to play on.

I am extremely satisfied with the service provided by FirstPoint USA. Both Andrew and Greg have been exceptionally attentive and dedicated, providing invaluable support throughout the entire process—including the preparation of my highlight videos, GPA evaluations, and various other essential tasks. Their guidance has made a significant difference, and I am very confident and optimistic about the upcoming steps in my journey.

Really fun shows you the daily for being in America student scholarship really good to meet new people and stuff

A huge thank you to everyone at FirstPoint USA for all their hard work, advice and encouragement. I’m really grateful for the opportunity and everything they’ve done to help me get to where I am.

My experience was good because i found that the coaches were very challenging and pushed to try to my full ability. I also found that the competition in other players was different to what im used to when playing on sundays for my local team as they were alot better standard pushing me even harder.

Helpful in the process and answered all my questions.
