Excellent start with FirstPoint USA and Mhairi

We have had a very positive experience with FirstPoint USA so far. From the very beginning, the process has been professional, clear and well organised.

A special thank you to Mhairi, who has been supporting my son Lukas through the first stage of his journey. She has been extremely helpful, friendly and professional, always responding quickly to our questions and clearly explaining what needs to be done and what the next steps are.

As a parent, I really appreciate having someone who is easy to communicate with and who makes the whole process feel much simpler and less stressful.

We are only at the beginning of Lukas’ journey, but our experience so far gives us a lot of confidence in FirstPoint USA and the process ahead.

Laura Lewis was a fabulous help for our daughter who is now on her way to the US for a rowing scholarship. Throughout the process Laura was extremely responsive, realistic and just knows her stuff and what is needed. The prep was excellent for every step as it is confusing without guidance. Our daughter has ended up with such a great opportunity in front of her. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Laura and the company to anyone thinking of taking this step.

From the very beginning, Gary and his team were always on hand to offer advice and answer any questions we had, and trust me, there were many! 😂

Every question was dealt with quickly, professionally and with genuine care.

From helping set up my son’s profile, preparing him for conversations with colleges and even giving him those much-needed pep talks before speaking with coaches, First Point really did cover every base.

And it didn’t stop once he chose his college. The aftercare has been fantastic too, helping with flights, what to expect when arriving in America, and all the little things that you simply don’t think about until you’re actually going through it.

As a parent, having that support and reassurance throughout the whole process has been invaluable. We always felt like we had someone there to turn to.

Thank you to Gary and the whole First Point team for helping my son take this huge step towards his dream.

Excellent experience Jamie Berrisford was fantastic as were all of the staff we dealt with. I can't recommend FirstPoint USA enough. They really have the process down to a science and took the guess work out of the equation. The key aspect for me and my daughter was the warmth and care they displayed from first contact. We weren't a number that they squeezed into their busy schedule. We were a priority and they understood the weight of the chapter we were about to start writing. That caring trait is fairly easy to find in a single person in any organization but to find it consistently across an entire organization is testament to what FirstPoint USA is aiming to acheive. Thank you for helping my daughter chase her dream.

FirstPoint USA massively broadened my view on how to go to an American university and also helped me receive a scholarship to Alfred University. They helped every step of the way and couldn’t have done it without them.

Both Gary and Jamie really helped me getting a great move to a top D2 college and took me through the process of attaining everything I needed to get my visa and other documents needed to travel and play in the US.

Jake has been excellent throughout. He was so approachable and enthusiastic and has been completely reliable whenever we’ve needed support.

Amazing experience - very knowledgeable and experienced staff who can guide you along the journey. In particular my agent Scott Maxwell who helped guide me through the process smoothly with no issues at all. Cannot recommend enough.

Kirsten was really approachable and made everything really clear and consize which was really awesome and we had an amazing experience with her!

Couldn’t recommend Jake Williams anymore, he helped me and my family answer any questions that we had and replied very fast. Made the start to our journey extremely smooth and easy.

The coaches were really friendly and my experience of the training drill was really great

My experience with Ms. Mhairi has been excellent. She has been consistently helpful and maintained clear, reliable communication throughout the entire process. Any time I had questions or needed guidance with my profile, she made everything easy to understand and supported me step‑by‑step. Her professionalism and willingness to assist made the whole experience smooth and reassuring. I truly appreciate her effort and dedication

They have made it a very fun and exciting experience over the past year for me. When I went to the trial all the way until being passed into promotion stage there has always been someone to help if I had any questions. Mhairi, who was my profile manager, made the experience amazing and helped a lot with getting my videos onto my profile and helping me book onto an SAT. Couldn’t be more happy :)

We were able to book our son onto the trial very easily and the instructions on what to do after that were very straightforward.

On the day itself it started on time with being checked in and then we received a presentation and Tyler who took it was very informative and gave lots of options and good advice, including telling the kids that the education part is as important as the athletic side.

Then onto the trial and it was a training session with everyone which I thought was of a high standard and pushed the kids in all aspects which I assume is to ensure they checked all parts of the athletic trial which was great.

Session lasted about 2 hours and everyone knew exactly what the next stage was in receiving a text within 48 hours with an update on the outcome of the trial.

Was very good performed well got in and very welcoming staff and good coa ching ! Went to the one in UK england brunel university for the american university scholarship
