When I initially called Forbes they sounded great and the solicitor was very friendly and and answered all my questions thoroughly and sounded professional. However after I had instructed her to take on my divorce case the service has been very poor. Communication is lacking, no updates I have had to ring on many occasions to chase up the other parties solicitors and still they take ages replying. I had already heard reviews that they were very slow and indeed this was true..

I had Nicola Mctear represent a relative of mine for criminal charges I would like to say how amazing she is. I found her extremely professional never once did she judge my relative or myself, she was always exceptionally helpful and kind and very supportive. The case went on for a number of years but she always kept in touch and gave me feedback regularly which was very much appreciated through a very stressful time in my life. I would definitely recommend Forbes as a company and without a doubt I would recommend Nicola as a solicitor.

Initial phone call good, thereafter multiple people were involved at the firm so I had to keep going over the details and the written agreement originally asked for was not completed. Excessive emails were sent to me, asking the same details repeatedly, so I paid even more for said emails. What I wanted wasn't carried out. The written agreement was not created, so the other person does as they wish. A waste of money.

Forbes were fantastic from start to finish. Our sale and purchase was complex, and had strict time constraints, but they dealt with it brilliantly.

Karen Dickinson was great at getting our cases set up and stressing the urgency to the conveyancing team. Jennifer Ross' team were fab, in particular Aamir who was our main point of contact with our cases. Even with unforseen absence and other constraints Aamir worked so diligently for us to ensure we could complete on the agreed date.

Professional, honest, reliable, realistic; not interested in unnecessary litigation. Focussed on the end goal. Human touch on something that is quite frankly horrific and grossly traumatic (the divorce) and an extremely clinical and black and white process (financial remedy). Rubina always centred her thoughts and energies on me, my children, our needs. It says something about common sense when the costs of the respondent significantly exceeded mine- Rubina didn’t do anything to cause costs to accrue and spiral by throwing communications around all the time with the other side. Extremely knowledgeable. Very trust worthy.

Recently used Forbes to deal with my house sale after my initial conveyancer kept putting the price up. They were upfront about all costs and promised a fixed fee. From the start everyone I spoke to was really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Aamir was my main point of contact and they kept me in the loop every step of the way and was always willing to offer help and advice.
