I am extremely disappointed with FPL…

I am extremely disappointed with FPL right now. I made my payment today at 11 AM, yet I’m being told I have to wait up to 24 hours for my power to be reconnected. This is unacceptable—especially with four children under 10 years old in my home who are scared and asking why there’s no electricity.

This is not just an inconvenience, it’s a serious hardship for my family. When a payment is made, especially in urgent situations like this, service should be restored much faster. Families with young children should not be left waiting in the dark.

I really hope FPL improves their response time and shows more consideration for situations like mine.

Ederly people medicare card

Ederly people receive a card from medicare to pay for utilities, FPL is a nightmare, make it impossible to pay and denied my card with money ,I call customer services didn't help.

Para mi es la mejor compañía de electricidad, estuve rentando en largo fl y la compañía es Duque, nada que ver con el buen servicio de la FPL, solo hay que salir de miami para darse cuenta de los bueno que es fpl.

Spoke with supervisor Suzelly very disrespectful non-compassionate didn’t even take a second to review my account before advising she cannot help needs a new supervisor ASAP. This company is definitely the only option otherwise I would have ran.

Spring Break

Unbelievable, called in about a live wire that burnt out cable lines and also had half of my house without power. Still was out of power for at least 3days. On the first day the technician pulled in driveway, flash their lights and pull right out. Second day no one showed up. Third day and currently still waiting. Mention to the dispatcher that I a newborn in the house and 2 other kids that are 4 & 7. What can Daddy tell his kids when they want their Eggs and milk? Keep in mind it’s spring break…. Kids are out of school (UGH)

Second night in a row of power outage

Second night in a row of power outage. Insulin has to be kept cold, CPAP has to operate all night for my girl friend. Equipment/transformer needs replacement. Had issues with street light at road entry, took them 6 months to repair. Only after I told them I was going to cut down the street light did they replace it. I’m sure I’ll use the tactic with the transformer

Automated Service Failure

We called in to start a new service. It took more than twenty minutes to get the automated system to transfer us to a human being. The person helped us, but then needed to transfer us to an application specialist. He put us on hold and we were then disconnected. We called back and spent thirty plus minutes wrestling with the automated system to get back to a human being. The second representative was able take care of us. In total, we wrestled with the automated system for more than an hour for a task that took the human representative less than ten minutes to accomplish.

Beware of this company if this the competence level of its support staff.

I continuously get mail from FPLHOME. I am not an FPL customer. I called the toll free number included with the last mailing that it had to get removed from their mailing list. The support rep said she could not remove me from the mailing since I don’t have a plan with them. Ridiculous. I tried to explain to her that they had to have purchased a mailing list and thus they could remove me. She kept saying that it is autogenerated and could not be stopped - as if some unknown entity was generating it! Her recommended solution was to keep tossing them in the trash. Unbelievable!

An $18B Co with the absolute worst…

An $18B Co with the absolute worst support system (web, app or phone) for anything but the simplest request. My local restaurants can handle service requests with more efficiency and customer satisfaction than this organization. Epic fail.

This company is beyond horrible!

This company is beyond horrible!! Having to pay a 250 as a deposit to have service I can understand but doesn't have to be high, and if you move you have to pay another deposit and can't have your first deposit back or transfer any of the old deposit to the new deposit. There needs to be more electric companies in Florida it's a shame since fpl is the only power company here they can do whatever they want since there the only company around. If you get a chance to a human there which is extremely rare they could careless about anything your saying, ask them a question that they should know the answer to but nope " I don't know the answer to your question" seriously you work there!! They steal as much money from you as they possibly can. This company needs to be ran into the ground. Never have I ever experienced such ignorance with a company as a whole. I hate this company with a passion!!!

The people out in the field were great, they showed up to turn the power back on within two hours. That being said. I just want to say “ FORGET” that absolutely horrible automated phone system. When your power goes off, I don’t care what anyone says. It’s an emergency. A limb came crashing down onto the wires, which they neglect to trim most of the time. I’m trying to reach someone because there’s sparks flying everywhere & theres this good awful annoying automated voice that hears you say speak to operator, and just either hangs up or explains why its still the better option. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, & Monopolized price gouging.

regarding an underground service box…

regarding an underground service box installation on my property.
I agreed in good faith to what was presented as a shared installation between my property and my neighbor’s. However, the box was placed exclusively on my property.
After I raised concerns in writing, company representatives visited the site and inspected the installation. During that visit, it was acknowledged that the location appeared to be incorrect. Despite this, I have not received any written response or corrective plan.
Meanwhile, project contractors continue entering my property and proceeding with work as if no active dispute exists.
I am simply requesting a fair and documented resolution. I hope the company will address this matter promptly and professionally.

Why does my power have such issues all the time? You need to fix the root problem! This is ridiculous. I wear a medical device to breathe at night and it causes issues constantly because of power failure. FIX THE PROBLEM.

I been using FPL since April of 2025 …

I been using FPL since April of 2025 I moved here in a RV and I pay 400 m for electricity I can't believe these charges. This company is fraudulent i stayed in a 2bd 2 bath in Il and I never paid that much. Im in a RV mobile home community and I swear 600 just to park my RV but 400 for electric it doesn't make sense. I HATE THIS COUNTRY I HOPE GOD HANDLES ALL THIS SOON . FOR ME TO WANNA MOVE HERE WITH THE BULLSHETT LIES I STILL PAY TAX AS WELL

Payment processing is awful

Payment processing is awful. If you want to make a bank payment the AI does not accept the bank routing number. If you call customer service they cannot get a person in the billing department to help. Not everyone can use automated systems or computers. Many people do not drive or know what Uber is. Why do customers have to incur additional costs to pay a bill???FPL deserves a zero for billing payments solutions.

FPL says they'll restore power within 4…

FPL says they'll restore power within 4 hours payment was received; however, they sure do receive payment a lot slower than it leaves my bank account. It apparently takes FPL 20 hours to receive payment and then 4 hours from that 20 hours... Yeah. Also, good luck setting up automatic payment with FPL lol I actually set up automatic payment every single time I make a payment... These people just have no respect for automatic payment & so just mark it down in your calendars when to pay because if you have faith that these people are gonna respect automatic payment then you'll just end up throwing everything out in your fridge and good luck if it's summer time and you have dogs are human babies.... FPL is joke... Simple as that.
