If I could give negative stars
If I could give negative stars, I would. I have been back and forth with them trying to start service in my home. They have been giving me the run around for 5 days. I called to ensure my power would be turned on before I set up my home internet and alarm system and I still do not have power. I had to move into my new home with no power. According to customer support, they can do turn on my power remotely. So why am I still out of power. I have to reschedule everything and there is still no guarantee that I will have power by tomorrow. Absolutely ridiculous.
Highly dissatisfied
First and foremost, I have never been treated like what Entergy treated me ever in my life. If I could have left no stars I would have. Back on 2/2/26 I made an agreement, since I was having difficult time paying my light bill due to unemployment. Agreement was for 4 months I would pay certain amount plus my monthly bill starting on 3/16/26. Since 2/2/26 I made 3 payments, which my last payment on 3/6/26 was even over the amount that was past due. On 3/10/26 at 1pm Entergy disconnected my lights. REALLY?. After several calls, one w manager Kristine, who pretty much acted treated me like she had better things to do. She told me on 2/8/26 Entergy cancelled the agreement, I asked her why, she told me bc I was behind on my bill.. REALLY?. That's the reason we made the agreement, Entergy approved it. Needlesstosay, I'm still pretty pissed. Disrespected to say the least.
Awful horrid company
Awful horrid company. After meeting one of the families of an engineer fo Entergy. They are just as vile. Greedy thieves. Power can be off for months. They don’t take one cent off. Tell you a time it’s going to be back on, days later. They claim to do all this bs for the community while actual customers are mistreated
Because I can't give 0 stars
Because I can't give 0 stars. I love in a 790sqft duplex and you charge me almost 300$ a month in electricity!!! I am PRAYING YOU GO OUT OF BUSINESS. You are terrible for the Arkansas people!!!
They are racist thieves they are morons…
They are racist thieves they are morons literally with no comprehension non what so ever they need to be shut down I’m currently suing them and they are under investigation and I also let my millions of followers on social media that loves me not to deal with them we need another light company Entergy is trash poor customer service poor service period need to be shut down completely
This company services places where they…
This company services places where they are the only providers in that region and then there inflated prices depend how they want. The sad part is that we can't change to another company since they are the only one there. They are a bunch of crook's.
Horrible service
This company Xylem Tree Service, contractors for Entergy, trims trees in my area of Springhill, LA. They showed up unannounced, with no notice whatsoever, and parked in my driveway, completely blocking it. They started hacking at my 80-year-old live oaks, cutting limbs beyond the 15-foot easements and butchering the trees. Then they left, leaving the limbs everywhere, after I asked why they were cutting past the 15 feet. That was last week.
They showed back up this week, apparently to finish cutting for firewood. Once again, they completely blocked the driveway. Then they had to move to claim their next victims. They drove in my yard, rutting it up, driving over the waterline, and over the fairly new field lines for the septic system. When I confronted them about it, they packed up and left, still leaving all the limbs. They should have been in the road, not my front yard.
I don't care what permits or equipment you need to do the job, but you shouldn't be tearing up people's property. 10 out of 10, I do not recommend, UNLESS YOU NEED FIREWOOD!
Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever, they cant even read there own bill and i got over charged double charged for two months
God awful
God awful. They have a monopoly,so there's zero effort to anything resembling customer service. Our initial deposit was waived due to us getting a letter of good standing from our previous utility provider and then we'd be billed for it. They'd "fix" the problem 3-4 times and we'd again be billed for it. The CSRs or customer service agents or whatever apparently couldn't communicate directly with their billing department. Wild, silly, and pathetic bureaucratic bs. They take over an hour to examine why whole blocks of people have no power. Ever increasing rates. Difficult to speak with a human after hours.
Entergy's Bad Service
Energy showed up today to "pull maintenance" on a power poll. With no notice or a knock on the door they simply parked in my driveway cut power 4 houses. When I asked about what was going on and how long, I got nothing but rude attitude. When I asked to speak to the job supervisor, I was told there was none. What B.S.
UPDATE February 2025
UPDATE February 2025
I am updating today to mention that the issue with the employee was never resolved. I never received any contact from his manager like Entergy claimed would happen.
Additionally, today, an Entergy employee came to my home and nobody else's on the street claiming they were "conducting a test" on our meter. By testing it, they cut off the power for a short period of time without any notice or warning. We have medical needs that require electricity and for them to do this for absolutely no reason is absolute bull. In all the years I lived at my house, this was NEVER done. Additionally, this was done exclusively to my home and no one else's on my street. I'm wondering if this is retaliatory behavior because it sure seems that way? I'm keeping everything noted and documented should I need to take legal action at this point.
-------------ORIGINAL REVIEW---------------
On November 5, 2024, roughly around 11:20-11:30am, Entergy employee Johnson in truck #10027 came to my house. I was in the restroom at the time and didn't open the door immediately. Once I opened the door I saw him by my meter and I immediately asked him what he was doing. He immediately started questioning me about "Didn't you see me knocking on your door?" (in reference to my security cameras) and having a snarky attitude. I told him we had opted out of the new meters YEARS ago when they were first being introduced. Which we did.
He began speaking to me in a nasty condescending tone talking about no I didn't because he'd have a paper and essentially calling me a liar. I told him everything was online at that point and I had even received a confirmation paper in the mail about being opted out of the new meters, again, years ago when these were brand new. He called me a liar and said if I had one show it to him and he would apologize but I couldn't because it's not true.
He then started threatening to put the new meter in and said what would I do about it. That because he doesn't have the paper he was going to put it in and that was my problem, not his. I started recording him and told him don't change my meter or I will take legal action because I had already opted out. He said he didn't care that that was Entergy's problem, not his. That it wouldn't affect him either way. He continued to talk in a nasty condescending tone being argumentative.
At one point he offered to get the paper, but was essentially taunting me about giving it to me saying I needed to ASK for it. Totally talking down to me like I was at his mercy to NOT get the meter replaced and it was ALL HIS DECISION at that point. He seemed to enjoy talking down to a female. I'm not sure if it's because of my skin tone or because I am female, or both, but the way he behaved was NOT professional in the least bit. I felt threatened and uncomfortable on my own property because of him.
Eventually, he did get the paper for me to opt out of, while continuing to talk down to me. I filled it out and gave it back as he stood at his truck with his arms folded and staring me down the whole time in a threatening (feeling) tone. He said I needed to fill out the top part and added that he normally does it himself but I had to do it on my own. He continued being degrading with his words and tone as he got in his truck and sat there watching my house before eventually leaving. If this man represents Entergy then clearly I know I cannot feel safe with their employees. I have since submitted a report to Entergy and am fully prepared to go to the news and social media if Entergy doesn't take action on this employee. I also don't trust that he will actually put it into the system and may use my personal information however he chooses simply based on his behavior. So if anything happens, I fully blame Entergy and am documenting everything should I need it in the future.
Entergy, WHAT IS WRONG WITH AMERICA
For almost a month, because my dad passed away and his name was on 4 of our 7 energy bills for work, I've been forced by energy to do a name change and get new permits from Baton Rouge permit office. Also, because of being required to change the name on 4 of the accounts,NOTE WITH ALL ACCOUNTS BILLS BEING PAID INFULL EACH MONTH, I'm also subject to having the power turned off for those 4 b buildings and has been to 2 of them EVEN WITH CUT OFF DEADLINE EXTENSIONS, BEFORE THE EXTENSION DATE. To make things even worse, the requirements from entergy change depending on who I tolk to each time. NOTE there was a mistake made by the BR permit office and it was corrected 2 weeks ago and today again as entergy said they received to corrected permits on 12/19/24 and today they don't have them again. So BR permit department helped my AGAIN TO CONFIRM CORRECTIONS AND RESEND THE PERMITS. NOTE 1 building has been without power for 5 days now before the deadline cut off date and I'm told that it want or can't be turned on without the permits, which have been sent to them at least 4 times now. Entergy and AT&T are the worst companies I've ever had to deal with and it's hard to say who the worst.
Not a horrible company
They never give out reminders for the bill being due. I guess I should be more responsible and remember but that's not always the case.
Thirty year customer has to pay a $3000 deposit to reconnect
We sold our business after having service with Entergy for over 30 years. The our hazing company rented our building for 6 months in which time they switched the power to their company, when the moved back to Canada we requested the electricity be reconnected on our name as we owned the building, to do this they must have a $3000 deposit. We have no choice but to use Entergy. The building is for sale and we need service just until the building sells. I can only get service again after having been a customer for over 30 years by paying the outrageous deposit.
Adequate but let’s see how they handle a hurricane…
They are definitely not fantastic by any means, but I have dealt with a number of much worse electric companies in other places that I’ve lived. For being in New Orleans, I thought the power would go out much more frequently than it has over the past year that I’ve been using Entergy for my electric needs. My biggest qualm with Entergy Is that there are really expensive surcharges during peak times, such as when it’s very hot or cold and you need to use your central air most. I think that their pay system is really easy to use, and they’ve always been fairly receptive which I’ve appreciated.
This electric company is the worse
This electric company is the worse. More than a week with electricity, we have a cable down in our front yard and nothing has been done yet. I do understand about what just happened but we are priority with a person with diabetes and heart problem.
Entergy review
Entergy review
I live in Crystal Beach, TX and recently we were affected by Hurricane Beryl. Like most, after the storm hit we lost power. In a time when everything was uncertain, Entergy was great at communicating with their customers. After the storm passed, they immediately posted damage assessments for each area affected. This included exactly how many feet of downed lines, poles, cross arms and transponders. Entergy posted updates twice a day which included what repairs were completed the day and night before and what would be completed by 10pm that day. We were able to make plans and set expectations based on these accurate, detailed reports. In addition, they managed to meet every deadline they committed promised to their customers. I am very impressed with how transparent Entergy was and with so much of their power distribution network damaged, how quickly they restored power.
trash service 1 star

When it’s a power outage it take them hours to get power back on by then everything in your fridge is bad and you have to throw it out and try to buy more this is completely unexceptable
