Disgraceful.
I have been without a fridge freezer for 3 months.
First they say an engineer will be out. Then the engineer rings and claims they know what the issue is without even seeing it. They say they need to order a spare part and then make the visit to repair.
3 weeks later I chase them up to be told an engineer will come out. The engineer comes and has no knowledge of the ''spare part''. He claims the fridge is beyond repair and his company will be in touch.
After 21 emails, 2 whatsapp messages and about 7 phone calls... Still nothing. 3 months have passed.
They lie, claim to ring back etc etc. All rubbish.
I have had to contact the ombudsman.
Companies like this should not be allowed to continue operating.

I have just gone back to AO where I bought the product and they could not be more helpful. They rang Fridgemaster and gave them a talking to. AO are sending me a replacement ASAP.

Brand new fridge freezer bought in October 2020 now July 2022 no longer holds temperature in fridge or freezer. Both way above safe zone, wasted so much food due it no longer being safe to eat within days of buying it! With two children at home this isn’t acceptable, can’t afford to be throwing food away nor wanting to risk my childrens health! Have tried emailing but the emails just bounce back! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! Clearly they don’t give a monkeys about their customers or products!

ordered around the 20th June, now 4th July, no email, lucky i took a screenshot of the order.

both emails don't work on the website, when i phoned up I was passed around 4 people.

The final person said they couldnt find my order number, my post code or my address, they will call back friday 1st july before 5pm, its now monday 4th july.

AVOID THIS COMPANY

Ordered a fridge door handle 07/05/2022. Still waiting 14/06/2022. No customer service. Don't order anything from them untill the service and reviews improve.

Bought a Fridgemaster American style fridge. Used for 14 months. Engineer came out and said £600 repair for a new compressor. Now in the local skip. Customer service is absolutely horrendous too!

just bought a fridge freezer 3 weeks ago. It broke down after 2 weeks. Repair guy came after 5 days ans said it always happens after a couple of weeks, the thermostat breaks. He went back to his van and came back after 15 minutes and said he doesnt have one !!!!! INCREDIBLE. He tells me we need another appointment the following week. I ring heads office and they know nothing about it !!!! A waste of three hundred pounds. CHINESE CRAP,,,,,, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I bought this good looking fridge freezer in march 2021, as of may 2022 the freezer is on the blink, and looks like the fridge is aswell!! Raging as it’s just out of warranty, I definately would not purchase this brand again!

Bought a fridgemaster American style fridge freezer.. in august 2020 initially happy with the item looked smart worked well (noisy though)
21 months later (yesterday) the house was plunged into darkness and all the trip switches blown… after all the electrics were checked it came to the culprit THE FRIDGE FREEZER! well was the last thought to be fair we class it at 21 months old fairly new. So didn’t suspect it to be that… BUT IT WAS!!
And going by the reviews I now see looks as if we are in the same boat as most
Less than 2 yrs old and the unit fails.. that’s outrageously crap! And a total waste of money not to mention the loss of contents that value over £300 worth of food. Fuming does not cover it… believe me
These units are smoke and mirrors
Look good but built out of rubbish working components
My advice is to walk on by and DO NOT BUY ANY FRIDGEMASTER PRODUCTS
THEY ARE NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE!
£499 is cheap… should have realised
And as the saying goes
Pay cheap pay twice…

Screws are over tight on fridge and cannot move door. Damage to chassis from factory hidden by other parts.

Fridge barely works. Customer service unresponsive.

Purchased fridge freezer July 2020 and has now broken down now after less than 2 years.

Spoke to manufacturer who wasn't interested in helping. Instead they referred me on to a repair team who wanted to charge £200 with no guarantee to repair or replacement.

Looking at the other reviews here it’s a common outcome. Best to avoid the brand completely.

Unfortunately, our MS91515DFF American style fridge freezer stopped working properly around 3 months ago. Initially, we were extremely pleased and judging by other reviews, have been lucky to get appx 2 years of good use.

We first noticed that ice lollies had started to thaw, and thought it was a bad batch of lollies.. Then gradually we noticed other items were not properly frozen. The fridge compartment has always worked OK, but the freezer section was not reaching the desired temperature.

I called the customer care line and was offered two options, £18 per month for 1 year or £200 one off payment, each offering a guaranteed fix. I declined the options favouring a local engineer. He diagnosed a drop in pressure, and recharged the compressor. I paid £55 for this fix, much cheaper than Fridgemaster's suggestion.

He could not guarantee the repair; I appreciate his honesty because the fridge freezer lost the gas somehow and I expect it will do the same again after some time. I do not know how long it will last, but I can only hope it will last a reasonable amount of time and keep getting recharges until I change the kitchen and invest in a better brand. For an extra £200, take the advice of all the other reviewers and choose more wisely than we have.

I purchased a Fridgemaster MC55264A in July 2019 and now in February 2022 it has stopped working.
The warranty has ended and my repair bill (from an independent) was estimated near £200 (this included call out; labour; possible part compressor)
Avoid this product and save your money; put it towards another brand that will last longer than two years.

Fridge freezer lasted approximately 18 months..they don’t want to know if there’s a problem and unhelpful! Would not recommend or buy one of their products again

Please read these reviews and take notice before you buy one of their products, my fridge freezer stopped working about 18 months after buying it.

Bought a Fridge from these guys just over a year ago and it has now stopped working. It's impossible to get hold of anyone at the company who can help with a possible fix. They have no interest in longevity, they sell a poor quality product for a low price and hope to never hear from you again. Avoid at all costs.

Would give them minus 5 stars if I could. Cant get InTouch with them on any of their email address' - bounces back every time. rang the number and it just put me through to the warrantee team for them to repeat themselves.

we brought our fridge in 2020 July and it is already out of warrantee, it has stunk my house out of gas and made both of me and my little boy sick. (He is 18months). I rang them to get a repair for it to either cost me £18 a month for a year or £200. For a £600 fridge 18months ago I am in shock. It is clearly a fault with the fridge and not accidental but they don't seem to want to know or help. Disguising customer service - not that I can get through to anyone except the warrantee team.

The fridge/freezer failed within 3 years as the compressor seems to be too small. DO NOT BUY from this company unless you pay for an extended warranty which may not even cover the item. Appalling customer service response - payup for a repair or shut up.

Having called constantly for 3 days due to a fault on my £700 fridge freezer, still no call back and im having to chase this. This is shocking customer service!!

My fridge freezer stopped working in November. I immediately tried to contact their customer services. 12 phone calls later, which consisted of a recorded message saying someone would contact me or a member of their call team saying exactly the same, I NEVER had any one contact me. I wrote numerous emails- again not even acknowledged. I only bought the appliance in February so it was still under warranty.
Today (Jan) I got a call from AO to ask if I wanted to extend my warranty🤣🤣 I explained the situation and they managed to get me through to Fridgemaster’s customer service. The woman I spoke to from Fridgemaster then proceeded to ask questions like ‘ What was the temperature of my kitchen in November?’!!?? What?? The young man from AO had stayed on the line while I spoke to Fridgemaster’ representative. He intervened and stopped the conversation.
To cut a long story short. Fridgemaster refused to do anything and it has been AO that has rectified the situation and are replacing my appliance with one that is a completely different brand.
In short avoid Fridgemaster like the plague !!!!!

My Fridgemaster under-counter fridge is 3 years old, so I appear to be lucky in that it has lasted that long! However, the internal light bulb went and it has been impossible to find one that works as a replacement. Standard, universal Edison screw fittings that are for all fridges, don't work on this one! I called their Customer Service to ask if they'd send me a bulb - what a joke. Held on for 20 minutes, was then passed between 3 different teams for another 20 minutes and no-one could answer the question. In the end I hung up! Worth spending more on a fridge and getting a model where parts are replaceable and customer service actually exists!
