I bought an Apple watch on-line two…

I bought an Apple watch on-line two days before Christmas when the computer said there were 3 available, however, when I arrived, there were none there and, despite promises to do so, they failed to even organise one in time from an alternative store. Now, they simply don't even answer their phone at the Noosaville store. Useless as tits on a bull!

I bought a new mobile

I bought a new mobile, from Harvey Norman. The technician transferred all the data for me. His Name is
Rowell & works for Harvey Norman, Cairns. He was patient & understanding, as, I am not a wizz with a mobile. Explained things clearly, so, I could understand.
I was happy with the price of the phone & the staff in
general.
The layout of the store, makes it easy to find the things you want & if you can't, there is always a polite staff member to help you. My experience was a very happy & successful one. Thankyou

Do not buy from Harvey Norman online at all

Do not buy from Harvey Norman online at all. We simply purchased some items online for click and collect. However they did not have the products. Online system advised us to contact the physical store and the physical store pushed us back to the online system. This had been going on for about 2 weeks and they could not find a solution for me. What a ridiculous system!

Toaster had my name on it!!!

So I am building a new house. For which I have purchased a big screen TV, French door fridge freezer, 2 drawer dishwasher, music system and new lounge, all from Harvey Norman well over 12k in the last couple of months. I ordered a Smeg kettle and toaster, of a particular colour. Bairnsdale store had the toaster and having made the order, the toaster was set aside with my purchase order attached, i.e Sold. Just waited for matching kettle to arrive from another Victorian store. Went in today, as kettle had arrived only to find they had sold the effing toaster. No customer loyalty at all it seems. No apology, no nothing.

Harvey Norman raincheck policy doesn't exist

They advertised a sale item that was not in stock then refused a raincheck for this item , difference being $170 , customer service has gone down the toilet with this company and I have usually had no trouble with them , the online chat is third-party operated so they can't achieve anything for you and just blame individual franchisees for their problems , how convenient lol . I will personally never shop there again as if you can't follow your own guidelines/ policies then what can you do ? You are not protected nor will they give a shit even when they are at fault .it's Modern company response 101 Hervey Norman have been training themselves well in this style of customer service , and losing customers by doing so.

Returns nightmare

I tried leaving this review on their website which Harvey Norman has rejected to publish:
There's no return policy for any pillows.
Extremely firm, which is impossible to gauge online and with no warning of no returns on their site, and with Harvey Norman, each store being an independent store, which means you need to find the store that has sent you your item and actually call that particular store and that particular department to begin any process, which you have no idea at checkout, it makes it quite a hassle. Not sure why you would buy online with Harvey Norman knowing this, but no one knows about this till they're faced with a daunting task of a return. I don't think anyone who's experienced this once would ever go back shopping with Harvey Norman, at least online anyway.

Illegal conduct around delivery delays and refunds

Their customer service's KPIs has honestly got to literally be to ignore the customer's issue and make them wait for the longest time possible before even starting to address anything.

I have spent 2 weeks waiting and almost 3 hours speaking to their customer service team. Their customer service clearly has pre written messages and they will literally ignore what you say and just keep repeating stuff even after you have already clarified that doesn't help.

I ordered a perfume for a gift on 13/11. Their product page says it leaves the warehouse in 1-2 business days: great! I thought.
2 business days later the item had still not been handed over to Aus Post. I emailed their team to ask for an update and never got a response.

On 18/11 I contacted their team to ask for the cancellation of the order due to the delivery delay as I needed it in a particular timeframe and was counting on the info from the product page on their site.
The person opened an internal refund request.

On 02/12, after not hearing back and not receiving my refund for 2 weeks, I contacted their team again. I spend over 2 dreadful hours dealing with people that had NO INTEREST whatsoever in solving anything. All they could possibly do is disregard what I said and keep repeating pre-prepared messages that did not address or attempt to sort the issue at all.

So today, 18 days after my first email to them about the delivery delay, here I am still with no refund and no help from the business.

Today on 02/12, they are now saying they have contacted their dropship vendor (why did they choose to not contact them in the last 2 weeks where they literally had a refund request internally opened for this I honestly can't understand). And they are using this as another way of making me wait more, when the customer is not related to any business and vendor relationship whatsoever.

I have explained that, under Australian Consumer Law (ACL), the customer has the legal right to cancel an online order if the goods are not delivered within the timeframe promised and therefore my order should have already been cancelled and refunded ages ago, but they are continuing to aim for ensuring no customer service is actually provided, and they are willing to go against the Australian Consumer Law for that.

HARVEY NORMAN SPRINGVALE STORE
I had an appalling experience with the management of the electronics department at Harvey Norman Springvale. From start to finish, the service was dodgy and unprofessional. I brought my Xbox in for repair under consumer warranty, only to find out it wasn’t even sent for evaluation. Despite multiple follow-ups, no report was provided, and when I went to collect my device due to lost trust, it was dropped and damaged further.

To make matters worse, they attempted to charge me for repairs that clearly fall under consumer warranty rights. This level of scamming behavior is unacceptable, and it’s not an isolated incident. Harvey Norman already has a bad reputation for upselling unnecessary warranties, and my experience further confirms their manipulative behavior and total disregard for customer care.

Stay away from this store at all costs if you value your time, money, and peace of mind.

Harvey Norman Carindale Unacceptable Stools from Furniture Department

I purchased good quality timber bar stools with leather seats from Harvey Norman which I picked up from the store in February. I was so disappointment by the quality of such expensive stools- leather poorly put together, cracked timber underneath, underside of timber not varnished. I was told by HN staff before purchase that they were manufactured here in Australia by FIVE STAR FURNITURE in Victoria. When I looked into it, I found out that they were manufactured in China but the varnish was applied in the factory in Victoria. I made several written complaints to the furniture proprietor of the store in Carindale but was refused to have them replaced or repaired, probably because this was the cheapest and easiest option for them. They only offered me my money back. I expected more from such a high profile company, but I got furniture which was worse than the cheapest companies.
I could never trust or recommend Harvey Norman furniture Carindale again.

Problem Resolved Thanks Dave

My wife was looking to purchase a new mobile phone for both herself and me. Chris introduced us to the Google Pixel Pro 9 XL @ $69 upfront and $69 per/m plan. He suggested checking it out. Phone great, plan we thought perfect when we looked up Optus $69 p/m plan. How ever in store and
Optus $69 plan are different to In store $69 plan no free Internatinal calls to NZ and my wife called her mother and received a text call cost $50+ dollars. Thought a mistake when check it out found out the differences between optus and in store and we are now locked into a contract which cost a fortune to change and my wife would spend a fortune in calls to family. Very Bad either way. Went back to the Nowra Store and spoke to Dave who setup the contract the following day because Chris was on a day off. Dave explained the differences between Optus web site $69 plan and Harvey Norman in Store $69 plans. He Then explained there was way to reduce the costs of my wife call family. I left the store a little disapointed and explained the situation to my wife via phone. After a short while Dave rang me he had followed up with his manager explaining what had happen and the confusion in the plans and no international mins. Dave explained to me the simpliest solution was a $10 p/m add on to the Harvey Norman in house plan was a solution to the problem. I whent back to the store Dave showed me option installed it for me Problem Resolved. Thanks Dave for the exceptional customer follow up and feedback and quick resolution to what would of become a very expensive mightmare. Dave should be applauded for great follow up. I wish I could give NO STARS TO HAREY NORMAN SERVICE/DELIVERY

I am sick of poor service by so many big companies and not being able to contact them and speak to a human - it’s does my head in as well as poor delivery.

I shouldn’t have to chase them up - why did they only deliver one box instead of three ?? I am so sick of this.

See my emails to them - it is shocking that we cannot get to speak to a human - I even rang local Harvey Norman store and of course they said nothing they can do - it’s an on line matter - yeah right - but there is no service !!!! you just get a email replying they’ll get back to you as soon as they can - yeah right !!!

The poor service and poor delivery of some big companies well I’m bl00dywell sick of it.

So now I just have to keep waiting and hope someone gets back to me and I’m short 2 boxes of 400 training pads for dogs (I ordered three boxes) at a cost of $255.00 !! and there is no customer service !!!!
I’m fuming. I shouldn’t have to be chasing this.

I have been waiting for this order since the 8 November, 2024 -   as you will see from my order I ordered 3 x 400 pcs puppy dog pet training pads    for $255.00   AND JUST NOW AT 3.10 p.m. Tuesday 19th November, 2024   ONLY ONE BOX OF 400 TRAINING PADS has been delivered ???   Where is the other two  boxes of 400 puppy training pads please.         
I get tired of this same thing happening with Bunnings delivery of training pads and having to chase up and  that is why I came to you and the same thing is happening and we have to chase up this immediately as we have no idea  what 's going on and why only one box of 3 has been delivered.I'm really annoyed.
PLEASE ADVISE WHY I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE 3 BOXES OF 400 TRAINING PADS AND HAVE ONLY RECEIVED ONE AFTER WAITING ALL THIS TIME.
Please rectify immediately as a matter of urgency -  I ordered and paid for 3 x 400 training pads and I expected to receive that and not to have to chase up damn missing orders -   I am so annoyed.

Emily made the purchase of our settees…

Emily made the purchase of our settees and dining chairs very easy. Her pleasant personality was an extra bonus. Unfortunately when it came to delivery things went awry. The table we ordered had not been delivered to the warehouse. Emily again stepped in and sorted it out. Come the delivery day “no table” to say I was annoyed is putting it lightly. We spoke with Raylene and she checked with Emily. Anyway a short story long we got the table the next day. Thank you Raylene. Once again a huge pat on the back to Emily. She is a star.

BEWARE NOT Carry On Luggage for Domestic Flights

Enquires about an advertised carry on case, the dimensions appeared to be much greater than the carry on allowances for domestic travel in Australia. Agreed, I did get a response advising that this product advertised in Australia was in fact only for international flights. Surely this is a misleading advertisement, most people use carry on luggage for short intercity flights.

Purchased a fridge from Harvey Norman…

Purchased a fridge from Harvey Norman Joondalup, told of my delivery day which I had to sit home all day waiting. Fridge arrived full of dents and scratches, delivery people would not take fridge back so I’ve got it sitting in middle of my house. Today waiting for another new one to arrive and the dented one removed, having to leave for work at 1.00pm and they can’t tell me when they will be here???? Poor customer service ! People work and can’t just sit home waiting for deliveries that can happen anytime! Give us a window of 3-4 hours at least! This is because you delivered. Dented fridge! Your mistake not mine! Will NEVER purchase Harvey Norman again.

replacing venyle back of the bed…

replacing venyle back of the bed purchased few years ago was an easy experience until the part arrived then no one contacted me very slow customer service and when I enquired about details of the package to arrange transport the person over the phone became rude explaining she cant provide such info until theother person handling the matter comes on her desk ( unclear duration ) and terminated the call
the issue took over 4 weeks to get the information
very poorly handled
I have been left shaken by the experience

No communication, no phone number to call

First and last time ordering anything online with Harvey Norman. When the package was delivered, the delivery guy only dropped off one out of two parcels. This can happen, no problem but when I emailed HN about this, I got a "ticket" for the compliants department queue. 2 days later I received a reply if the problem had resolved itself. I answered no, and received anothe email 2 days later asking for the invoice details (again). I then tried to call directly after worming the number (02 92016111) out of another department and opted to get a callback (Of course there was no person to talk too). The callback never came. These people just dont care. They cloister themselves in automated phone replies and online chats, but no one has the guts to talk to you. Unbelievable!

We tried to exchange linen they didn’t…

We tried to exchange linen that didn’t suit only to be told that there is not return or exchange for change of mind ?!?!? Not only that we were never made aware of this when we bought it, both times we were served by absolutely useless salesperson called Tensin.
While she was ‘consulting’ her manager the other three male floor staff were very loudly making fun of us fully aware that we can see & hear them.
I have never seen such unprofessional & rude staff. They obviously could not care less if customers come back so I will never ever be back at Fyshwick store for anything.
With so many people wanting jobs I’m surprised that owners are putting up with this kind of behaviour but then fish does smell from the head..
