Customer service is DEAD at HN

I will give HN a 5 star rating at taking your money, but it's all down hill from there.
$2500 spent on a fridge inc delivery.
The delivery guys were rude and completely out of order.
Wanted to charge for going up 4 steps, refused to take away any of the packing and dumped the fridge in the middle of the kitchen and left.
when we finally managed to unpack it and get it into place, we found that the water and ice function wouldn't work at all.
We now need a service guy to fix a brand new fridge.
Will not be back.

If i could give zero I would

If i could give zero, I would. LG tv's went on sale, and within a day, I thought i had purchased a 65 inch tv online. money taken from credit card etc. Email informing of purchase. For six days "track order" reads as "processing"

After 6 days , i receive an email,"the fufillment store is out of stock", refund coming in 2-3 days.
Meanwhile this stopped me from buying the same item for the same price that was on sale at JB Hifi, because it went off sale 3 days ago.

Computers nowadays have near real time invenotry, and the purchase should never have been allowed to proceed. I"ll never shop at Harvey Norman again.

Terrible customer service

If I could give the "online store" zero rating, I would.
Made a purchase which was "online only" and after several attempts to find out if it was shipped, I was told that their trusted supplier would ship it and that they don't get that information. I must just wait the 10 days for delivery. Even though I received an email to say my other goods were shipped and I would get another email with these details. After 5 days I was then told that their "trusted supplier" had advised them that the item is actually out of stock and that they shouldn't have it on their website - THE ITEM IS STILL VERY MUCH ON THE WEBSITE!!!!

There is no number to call or speak to a person. All you get is a chat option or via email. And those people manning it have absolutely no training on how to deal with a client, who has reached the end of her tether.

WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED.

Oh and still now waiting for my refund.

I ordered a gym station from Harvey…


I ordered a gym station from Harvey Norman, but it arrived with a missing box, making assembly impossible. The courier confirmed they lost it, but Harvey Norman denied it. Despite their "10 business day delivery guarantee," I had to chase them for a resolution. They kept saying it would arrive "tomorrow," but it took several more days.

What made it worse was that I had to track the missing item myself, constantly updating them instead of the other way around. They never kept me informed—I had to follow up repeatedly, wasting my time and even taking time off work to deal with this. Every time I asked for an update, they just said they’d "follow up and get back to me," but nothing happened. No compensation, no real urgency—just delays.

I work in retail for a major company, and we would never treat customers this way. Once they have your money, you’re on your own. Very disappointing service

Return policy is a scam…

We bought a laptop and it’s with seal and tried to return the policy is such a scam
If you bought a product as a gift and they want something better and with seal should have had a genuine reason to exchange
The person who attended was also had a very bad attitude
I have purchased more than 20k worth products with them and the customer service is pathetic
This will be my last purchase hope you have better rules and regulations
My daughter needs a Mac and I bought HP and rules doesn’t allow me to even exchange
Such a shame

Absolutely hopeless online business

Absolutely hopeless online business, I get better and quicker service from Chinese companies. Placed an online order and my payment was taken, after a week the order has not even been processed, and I have now been waiting a week to just get a response out of Harvey Norman. Keep on getting promised a response "within 48 hours", but never get one.

Don't accept any furniture that's faulty

Can't give no stars, but I would if possible.
Purchased a modular lounge, had it delivered, delivery guys found a piece was faulty, took video n pics, not delivery guys fault. Contacted Harvey Norman store, sent info n picture, got an email yesterday saying it'll be assessed in 6 weeks n then if it's their fault they'll remedy it. WAT THE
It is ur fault, it is faulty, why am I being punished for your incompetence at warehouse level? I've paid for it so you've got your money and I've got almost a lounge? Absolutely appalling customer service, this is not how you treat customers!

Harvey Norman are NDIS fraudsters now

Harvey Norman are now selling wheelchairs via marketplace with Gilani Engineering. I returned a product as it was not fit for purpose 81 days ago. They will not refund my $8500. Harvey Norman is actively engaging in NDIS theft/fraud now.

Should have read the reviews first

Should have read the reviews before purchasing. Also wish I had never purchased an electric recliner. Customer service may as well be non existent for all the good they have been. Have a problem with the wiring on my electric recliner and need to purchase a new motor. Customer service ordered this and said it should be here in 3 weeks. By the 4th week I chased them up 3 times. She has just advised that part was never in stock and will be a month away. In the meantime I have been stuck with my couch in the recline position since before Christmas and I am moving house next week (end of Feb). They have no solutions. Bundall store.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I bought a new computer and printer online two weeks ago. It said it would take two weeks to deliver. No computer or printer. Customer service palmed me off. I went into an actual store and got no help. I put in an official complaint. No response. DO NOT buy anything through Harvey Norman online. You won’t get your item/s and then have to wait WEEKS for a refund. Disgusting 😡😡

AVOID ONLINE WITH HARVEY NORMAN

BEWARE - DONT SHOP ONLINE WITH THIS COMPANY!

Purchased a Vuly Trampoline Cover $149 + Shipping Order No. 31001589953.

Harvey Norman sent the item to an address not mine or the one on my invoice/order.

9 x emails and online enquiries with no refund or item replacement.. or any contact other than sending me the same tracking details showing it was not sent to my address!

Belive the negative review.. don't shop online, and I'd suggest avoiding in store as well.

Worst customer service, and would go further to say testament to fraud taking money without supplying the items.

I went to Harvey Norman at Gladstone I asked a worker where the TV Remotes they were located in the store He couldn't be bothered and said not this side of the store and went back to his computer fatso another worker well he just looked at me turned around and walked off some where else If it doesn't look like you have money they don't want too know you that's the vibe got this will probably fall on deaf ears

False Stock Levels No Help

I ordered a TV on 1/12/24 based on the Harvey Norman website stating ships within 2 - 4 days. This TV was advertised as in stock so I purchased it for $250 more from Harvey Norman - instead of The Good Guys or Betta Electrical who had it $250 cheaper but they were not in stock and were back ordered until 6th Jan.
The DAY AFTER ordering - less than 24hrs I got an email and a text stating the order was delayed. Not timeline.. just delayed and upon checking online it said backordered. I spoke to Graham from the Carindale store on 12/12/24 who advised he could see shipping on 16th Dec which put my delivery at around xmas/last week dec. I spoke to him again on 17/12 after a number of rude emails from the HN online help department emailed me over a week after I sent an enquiry about the delay, He then called me back after speaking to Hisense who told him its bad news and now wont be until the end of January. This is an absolute joke - I should not be waiting 2 MONTHS for something I spent $3000 on. ESPECIALLY when it was noted as in stock/available and 2 - 4 days. This is going be at least a 2 month wait and I am out of pocket the additional money i spent with HN to end up having to wait even longer then the other places i could have purchased from. False advertising stating what was stated and very poor form to sell something you cant even get stock of.

Bought a kitchen aid in Black Friday…

Bought a kitchen aid in Black Friday sales as a Christmas present. Was convinced by staff to pay in store as they had 3 on order, rather than ordering online and paying delivery fee (approx $30). Now it’s Jan and still no kitchenaid, have stock in other stores but are stringing me along and won’t let me pick up from elsewhere. Keep offering me a refund so I can go buy it at another store for an extra $400. Keep telling me they will call with updates and never do. Ridiculous.
