Just received my free trial pack to see which one they prefer and I think they like them all so decisions decisions

Very good quality

I used to order all the time for my guinea pigs, well I still do. Ever since theyve introduced the new "hand picked hay" option which is more expensive, the hay I have recently received has been very dusty. To the point my guinea pigs are sneezing, just forging around the hay. I want the best for my piggies and definitely looking for the hay I used to get from this company.

Haybox is hands down the best place to get hay for your bunnies (and other small pets). The hay is great quality, with a big range to choose from, our rabbit can't get enough. The toys / snacks are also great - again great selections and super tasty, our bunny can't get enough and actively sits by the snack cupboard waiting for her treats.

Finding Haybox has been great, and having bought from this company for c.2 years we would never look back.

The customer service is also second to none, they respond to emails in a timely manner, are very helpful and friendly and make the whole customer experience a real joy. Shout out to Sam for being so lovely and helpful as well :)

I had some hay in February 2024 and there was what appeared to be tissue paper chewed up in the box. I reached out to Haybox who kindly apologised and sent a replacement. I didn't open it until July 2024. Used some but the chinchillas were not as impressed as they usually were.
Couple of weeks later I pulled some hay and found a chunk about a foot long, 4 inches wide, 3 inches deep of stinking MOULDY hay.

I was furious, my chinchillas are my babies and this could have killed them.

Once again I contacted Haybox who told me it may be the way I was storing the hay. I have had hay for my pets for 30 years and it has never been mouldy before -pretty sure I know what I'm doing!
When I pointed this out I was told that had I paid more for handpicked hay, I wouldn't have had the problem. Why? Are you admitting your regular hay isn't fit for purpose?

I asked to speak to a manager- funny, I haven't had any contact since, despite chasing them about 3 times.

As long as they have your money they don't care.

Since then I have found The Happy Hay Co - really great help and so very different to haybox!

Used to love HayBox, have been using them for years, but since they switched to plastic packaging the quality of the hay has been subpar at best. The hay is now broken up, dusty and difficult to get out of the packaging. Would be great if they gave us the option to have the original packaging on meadow hay but that is still not the case. Also, they have raised the spending amount for free delivery, which means you either have to pay a high delivery price or buy more products in order to get free delivery.

I ordered first box and the quality of the hay is very good. Highly recommend by Miffy

We've been using Haybox for a while because we liked the 'natural' approach to their products. Food was in paper bags, hay was lose in the box, but recently they've started wrapping everything in plastic! We wish they would revert back to how they used to do things. It wasn't broken and didn't need fixing. I think we may look for somewhere that doesn't cover everything in plastic, as plastic leaches into products as part of its aging process and when it gets warm. I'm sure it's one of the many reasons pet cancer is a thing. Too many manufacturers using plastic on and in everything. We're just sad haybox jumped on the band wagon. 😔

Meadow hay full of hard stems, dangerous to pets eyes. Can't use it 🙄very disappointed, waste of money

My two gorgeous little rabbits get genuinely excited when their monthly Haybox arrives. Not only does it contain the best hay ever, there's dandelion roots and a new cardboard den to shred.
The lovely lady at my local pet store said that she couldn't in good conscious let me keep buying 'her hay', when she knew a better class food existed.
I won't talk about healthy droppings, but try your bunny with Haybox hay, and you'll know what I mean! The difference in a day is remarkable. It really is the best.
Mine like the course Timothy alongside some soft orchard hay. The other good thing is you can buy sample boxes to find out which your rabbits prefer.
As for the Haybox company itself, if you need to get in touch with a human, it's refreshing to know they get back to you quickly, are always friendly and helpful, and rectify any delivery muddles ASAP.
Genuinely can't recommend them enough.

Always comes nicely packaged, I have ordered a couple of times now. The boxes have never arrived damaged or tampered with.
My bunny is a little picky so he likes to try different hay, haybox makes it easier to find different types. Even offering tester packs for free so you can figure out what your bunny likes first before a big purchase.

Absolutely perfect. Arrived next day but wasn't available so was able to move delivery. Quality of hay is great and first time trying pellets and my boy loves them! Hay cookies he always loves. Dandelion roots always a big hit for him. Happy with this order!

Outstanding quality. I placed my order a couple of days ago (a Sunday) and had my order by Tuesday. The quality of the Timothy Hay blend is fantastic. I see a lot of the reviews here mentioning plastic packaging. However, I selected the ‘Hand Packed’ option, and no plastic was in sight. I put some in my guinea pig’s cage this evening, and the boys were all over it! It's not like the cr*p I bought from another well-known pet store (at home). I honestly can’t fault the quality. The hay is green and luscious.

Arrived on date /time and got exactly what I ordered.

The downside is that the hay is packaged in plastic. It wouldn't matter to me if the hay was not in plastic and mixed up but I suppose that isn't practical in terms of weight etc. Isn't there a biodegradable option? Hence 4/5 stars.

Amazing company. I love the hay and when I have had to contact them they sort things out super quickly and have been lovely. My pigs love the hay and other forage items and refuse to eat any other kind of hay! I also think it is very reasonable in pricing as for me a box of hay (5kg) lasts about 2 weeks for my 4 pigs, and I always give them a mountain of it :)

I have used Haybox, I have a subscription, for quite a while now and the quality and service has never once wavered. Website is straight forward to use, any issues can be raised easily and are quickly resolved…not that you’ll need to use this often! There’s a good selection of items to keep your bunny happy and healthy, the hay always smell fresh and is of good quality all year round. Would highly recommend using this service!
