Bad communication and even worse customer service

I have been using Favor or pill club for over a year. At first, I was so happy and thrilled to receive my package of goodies that my insurance allowed. As the months go on as expected these goodies get cheaper down to one small piece of chocolate or an airhead. Kind of weird. They would always ship on time but if you needed to start a new pack or lost your pack on vacation like me, you had to go through a whole hassle to contact them to send you a new shipment. Contacting them is the WORST experience that fueled me up enough to write this. I asked weeks ago to change the pill I was on since the one they recommended did the total opposite of what they said it would. I told them I was having mood swings and I understand it’s better to be cautious but to send me 5 texts about suicide hotline numbers instead of just switching my pill is ridiculous. Not once did I state I was feeling that way either. The texts were long, confusing and I was literally speaking with a different provider each time until finally they said somebody else would reach out days ago and nobody has. My birth control pills are on hold so I’m currently on nothing and I would like to be rather than pausing in between. Terrible customer service, switching immediately.

I’ve been trying to renew my birth…

I’ve been trying to renew my birth control prescription for over a week. My prescription request has been “in review” for over a week. They won’t respond to any texts, emails, phone calls, or help forms. My hormones are all messed up now, what a joke. I never had this problem with Pill Club. 0/5 stars.

You will NEVER get support!!!

I have been trying to get my prescription sent to me FOR OVER A WEEK so I can fly to the Philippines and get through customs. The support is TERRIBLE. I can’t blame the phone people, they are all nice but can do nothing for me. I talked to a manager today and they told me I would get it emailed to me today no later then tomorrow. Oh, they emailed me alright! To ask if they can email me my prescription….AGAIN!! Don’t know what I’ll do next.. might be the BBB. All they are going to do is reply to this review and ask me to contact.. support!!! WHAT A JOKE OF A COMPANY.

Terrible Communication and Complicated Process

I attempted to use Favor (The Pill Club) to refill my birth control prescription when I couldn't get in to see my PCP. I started the process 2 weeks before my current prescription would run out. It took more than 5 days (and contacting them via text message twice) for the team to review my response to their questionnaire. They offered the option of switching to Annovera, and after reading through some information they provided I decided to switch. The information they provided me said that it would be free with most insurances. I finally was able to make my appointment with one of their nurse practitioners nearly a week after starting the process. I scheduled the appointment an hour before I had to go to work. The NP was late to the appointment, and when she finally joined the video call she told me that there was a problem with my account that she would have to have fixed before she could prescribe any medications. She said she would call me back in "a few minutes." I never heard back from her. At my lunch break I called the customer support line, and they were able to fix the problem with my account (apparently I had a "double account" somehow). I then spent the remainder of my lunch break trying to schedule another appointment because the links they kept sending me didn't work. When I finally have my appointment with another NP, it takes less than 5 minutes and seems easy enough. She says that she will send the prescription to the pharmacy and they should be mailing it soon. Two days later, I get a text message from them saying that after my insurance has been applied the annual total for my medication will be $1200. I knew that there was a discount card from the drug company, so I send that to the Favor pharmacy. They said that it would decrease the total to around $400 (still crazy since most birth control is free thanks to the ACA), but then I get a call from a pharmacist telling me that I can't use the discount card because I'm a federal employee. I asked the pharmacist if they could switch the prescription to NuvaRing (a similar medication which is free with my insurance), and he said no because they don't carry that medication at The Pill Club Pharmacy. Apparently the NPs that work their will only send medications to that pharmacy even if they don't carry the one that you want/is covered by your insurance. Two weeks has now gone by dealing with this mess. I just gave up trying to get medication through them. After all of that, I still got a bill from them for over $1000 for the 3 minute telemedicine visit with the NP. In the end, I made an appointment with GoodRx Care, another telemedicine health service. It cost $50, I got an appointment within 1 hour, and they sent a prescription to my local pharmacy for pick up that day. I would not recommend Favor/The Pill Club to any of my friends or family.

Good Luck Trying to Renew

I've been with Favor for my prescription retinol for a year and didn't have an issue. When it came to renewing my prescription there was absolutely no help from their customer service, they keep telling me to take a questionnaire but it never allows me to complete it, they say it was an engineering problem. How is that possible, I've called over 10 times and have spent over a month trying to get my prescription renewed. It's completely unacceptable, stay away from this company, they have a habit of playing it fast and loose with prescriptions. Shame on you.

I hate leaving negative reviews but…

I hate leaving negative reviews but I've had to jump through hoops to try to get my prescription renewed. Most of my issues stem from their rebrand as I never had these issues with the Pill Club. Their new website is confusing and glitches frequently to the point of me not being able to meet with a Nurse Practitioner to renew my prescription.

I'm a resident of DC which has telehealth requirements so I must meet with an NP virtually before they can renew my prescription. I had done this for the last 2 years annually with no issues. However, they changed their video call software and it's now impossible to use.

I scheduled an appointment on Monday, October 10th at 3:45pmEST. They sent me instructions to go to their Dashboard and said there should be an option to "Join Now." There was no option to "Join Now" but there was an option to join the waiting room so I did that. However, the call kept failing - I could see that the Nurse Practitioner was "reviewing my health profile" and my video/audio was on and showing me but then it would never take me to the next step. The Chat tab was also disabled and said "Not Connected." After 5 minutes of not being let through, I tried on a different device at 2:50pmEST but just sat in the waiting room for 10 minutes. Then at 3pm EST, the waiting room closed and kicked me out, despite the hours on the website and a representative saying it's open 9am-6pmPST.

Thinking it could have been technical issues and a fluke, I rescheduled an appointment for today, October 11th at 2pm EST. However, this time it didn't even take me to the post-waiting room step and I instead sat in the waiting room for an hour with no one coming. I even tried rescheduling my appointment to 2:10pm after 10 minutes had passed and 2:30pm after that but no one ever came. I also tried texting and calling the favor helpline but received no response. The waiting room just kept saying, "your provider will be with you shortly" and displaying an average wait time of 10 minutes, which is incorrect because I waited for over an hour with no one coming. Then at 3pmEST, the waiting room kicked me out, despite me having an appointment.

I'm just not sure what the point of making an appointment is if you wait in the waiting room anyways and if no one shows up. I wasted an hour of my life waiting for someone to come talk to me. Also, the new waiting room and video chat functionality is terrible, the previous google rooms set up worked much better with a NP meeting you at the direct meeting link instead of a constantly buffering/endless "Wait Room."

I miss the old Pill Club and this rebrand has been a bust. I'm likely going to Nurx as their website seems easier to use and I just want something easy to use at this point. I also liked Pill Club because they didn't charge annual fees but now apparently they do so not sure what the draw is.

Customer service is slow

Customer service is ridiculously slow. I’ve been trying to renew my prescription for three weeks now. They have completely ignored my birth control request (a type they provide) and prescribed me a very expensive version.

Easy to use but terrible customer service

Pros:
Medications come straight to your door
No need to make an appointment

Cons:
15$ annual fee that Pill Club never had
If you have any side effects, don't bother with their medical team. they take forever to get back to you.
Customer service is terrible. They take forever to get back to you with canned responses.
The company says they'll give you a personalized experience but they don't actually care about your concerns. If you say you are unhappy with your service, they don't do anything but send more canned responses.
If you reach out with a concern, they may arbitrarily cancel your current script.

I've been with Favor for 4 or 5 years…

I've been with Favor for 4 or 5 years and I love them. There the bestest company ever! They offer birth control and sexual wellness products and Pad and tampons amd skincare products. Which is amazing. Its everything every girl/woman needs along with there birthcontroll I think. When I order my birthcontroll they offer A cheaper and generic brand of my kind of birthcontroll. Which is really cool. They have A couple ways too get in touch with them. Calling,Texting,E-mail,Even over social media. I've never had A problem with them or anything. And if I do they always help fix it. I love how they send my birthcontroll out too me it is very secretly and discreet. Which is what I love because I don't want the whole wide world to see and know my business.I love that they care about that. And when you place A order with them they'll send what you ordered plus they send you the coolest and bestest goodies ever!!! Like skin care products and sexual wellness products and candy and hair ties and hair bows and hair clips and pads or tampons. Which is really sweet they know that every girl/woman loves stuff like that especially candy!!! Haha who doesn't love candy?! Favor is A really cool and sweet company they care about there customers. Unlike other companies. Other companies don't check up on your package step by step until you get it. They actually care. I love this company and I highly recommend them too any girl/woman.

Literally trash

I signed up, I answered all their questions; they didn't ask about any previous diagnosis (ex:pcos, endometriosis) I have pcos so my period symptoms are extremely different then a normal person's but I have a normal birth control like almost anyone else. It's ridiculous that since I answered that birthcontrol pills give severe headache I can't get birth control. Honestly if you're average in medical health this could be useful but if anything irregular happens to you (headache, heavy bleeding, lupus etc) maybe you should go to a real doctor and get medications because they will screw you over on here

Hey Favor is a Joke

The Pill Club was so amazing. Once Hey Favor took over they became such a f***ing joke. I went to renew my rx which has always been so easy with TPC but I guess I somehow filled out the new questionnaire incorrectly and they say I am unable to receive an rx from them now and can get a rx from a doctor to fax to them instead. I told them it was a clerical error on my end and they’re still refusing to renew. IM STILL ON THE PILL AND HAVE NO ISSUES! I even sent them photos of my pill pack to prove I’m actively taking the pill (that they prescribed to me lol) with no issues and they just straight up stopped responding to me. I’ve been with Tpc for 2 years now…Never using again.

They stopped sending my pills

They stop sending my pills. It's not funny being out here with no pills. I am legit pissed off. As soon as the company changed hands or was bought out, they stopped caring. Why do I have to write, call, text, etc. to fight to get birth control? Getting pregnant is serious. We don't want this. Obviously we don't want this if we're taking the pill. Why are they purposely lying and not sending pills?

Absolutely terrible since it became hey favor

Ever since the favor took over pill club my birth control has been consistently late. Currently I have been out for two weeks and I cannot get a real person to speak with. Customer service is non existent. I am switching providers as soon as possible

I LOVE this company

I LOVE this company. Found them when I moved to a new state and didn’t have an OBGYN yet, they make getting birth control so easy and also affordable without insurance. I especially love all the fun surprises they include in each package. I’ve tried similar online birth control companies and had bad experiences, but Favor has always been great and super responsive.
