Disaster boiler broke down on Xmas day. Very professional engineer came quickly and did the repair so that we could enjoy Xmas lunch in wArmth.

When we were in need of a new boiler, the Highgate heating team did arrange for two engineers to come at short notice, and they installed the boiler in less than the two days indicated, which we were initially very impressed by, and grateful for. John was friendly when making arrangements over the phone, and was very helpful.
Unfortunately, following the install, John chased me several times for a positive review on Trustpilot the day of the installation, which I provided but which I have now been convinced to amend based on the lack of appropriate aftercare and dismissal of persisting functionality problems and installation issues, when we raised that the boiler was malfunctioning after the fact.
After forth and back about whether the malfunctioning thermostat was an installation issue, and the recommendation to contact the manufacturer directly, John did arrange a visit from the same Highgate Heating Engineer who installed the boiler. However, he was not able to solve the issues and was extremely dismissive during the process, explaining that "most people just haven't turned it on right".
As such, we sought a third opinion from an independent engineer, who was quickly able to identify where the mistakes had been made in installation, and could solve all the persisting issues within one 10 minute visit.
The lack of expertise from the engineer at Highgate Heating, as well as the dismissive approach to aftercare, made this a MUCH longer process than it needed to be.
