This is the most professional building company I have ever used. From Richard who did the survey, everyone in the office, and John who did the work - all were excellent. The pricing was fair and transparent and the outline of the work very detailed so I knew exactly what to expect and was carried out exactly. My property was treated with care and respect and everywhere left clean and tidy.

Not a great experience with this company.

Initially we had what I could call, the ‘salesman’, come over to assess the damp issue (March). He was great, found the issue and took all the readings. He went away and compiled a great report that was easy to read. This was the good part. He was clear about pricing and promised us a lot which included fixing bits of guttering and a subfloor air vents alongside the damp proof course (DPC) that was needed. He went away and we booked the works.

Initially the company had to reschedule due to illness which can’t be helped so I happily obliged (6th May reorganised to the 11th). After reorganising the works once, the guys came over and they were great, no issues at all with them. They got straight to work and competed the DPC pretty quickly. After they completed the DPC (not all the areas as they couldn’t access some due to pipes), they left and said there would be someone over within the week to complete the rest of the works (no weather issues on this day).

After this, about a month had gone by and I hadn’t heard from the company until I received a bill through for the works (5th June). I emailed back to state I wouldn’t be paying as the works hadn’t been completed yet and that the invoice needed to be amended due to inaccessible areas. They asked me what works had not been completed and I listed this to them. They then gave me a date for someone to come over again and I agreed. They cancelled. After this, I reorganised with them yet again, I stayed at home to allow for it to be done… they cancelled again. I tried once more and they cancelled again. Admittedly yes, I think once of these was due to weather as I know you cannot paint outside whilst it is raining, however I had ensured to not make plans/reorganise work across about 4 separate days at this point with nothing to show for it.

I eventually got fed up and emailed to state that if the works weren’t complete within two weeks then I would cancel the contract (1st July). At this time I asked for an itemised breakdown of the bill so that I could pay for the works completed to date. Surprisingly they managed to book me in again less than a week after saying this (6th July). Despite me not saying this date was ok they sent the guys over anyway. Luckily my partner had the day off work and the painting on the outside was finally done. I still did not receive an itemised breakdown of the works despite asking for this. The repair works on the guttering and subfloor vents were also still not completed. Although this was promised by the salesman, the company sneakily puts this within the ‘other work’ section of the contract to which they are seemingly not obliged to ever do. If you receive a contract from this company and you have works listed under ‘other work’, it will not be completed.

Overall, I would have gone with another company (and recommend for you to) if I knew that the works would have taken as long as they did. This has caused me a world of hassle, changing shifts and cancelling plans just to get the work done, and not all of it has even been completed. If I’m honest, it’s not worth the fuss. So far I still haven’t paid the invoice as I am in the process of querying why the guttering fixes and subfloor vents have not been completed.

Surveyor arrived on time and was able to quickly assess issue. Professional approach. Able to give estimate before leaving.

The approach from initial contact to the survey was most professional and Harvey who carried out the survey was not pushy and was very good at the way he communicated the proposed work

The representative who visited us was excellent. Extremely efficient, and very clear in his report on what was needed and what the company could provide. He was helpful, patient and we felt very comfortable with him visiting the house. We made a decision quickly because of the excellent information he provided and his competence and clarity inspired confidence in the company.

The company were prompt in contacting me after my initial enquiry and did a thorough inspection of my property. Options were discussed and I was not pushed into making a decision. I was kept updated throughout via email and phone calls and the actual installation was prompt and done quicker than expected in around 5 hours as the 2 workmen, Artur and Kamil worked hard without a break. They were courteous and tried not to disrupt me too much. They cleared up after the job and were able to answer any questions I had. Whilst the installation was expensive compared to other websites, I believe the system installed to be a premium quality and it comes with a 5 year guarantee.

Ritchard undertook a dampness survey at my parents house and has provided superb expertise, professional report and extremely helpful remediation and resolution recommendations. I would not hesitate to endorse his company and his service - greatly appreciated. He even found a litter of kittens in our garden ! Couldn’t be happier with the assistance provided.

The guys done an excellent job. They were very quick & efficient & completed all tasks without any trouble & left no mess. Answered all concerning questions & gave good advice. Would definitely recommend.

Initially Richard our salesman was utterly delightful, honest and a pleasure to work with. But of course it’s not him carrying out the work. On the day we had the work done we had 2 young lads who did half a days work. For the money we paid I would have expected more than the slap dash approach. One even commented to my husband “I could teach you how to do this in an hour”
When I asked if they were going to carry out all the checks (which I had asked to be done, such as the drains and the gutters) they said they had no idea - the office hadn’t told them and they didn’t have the ladders to do so. I had to follow up with the office and wait a week for the checks to be done.
Since then we have had quotes on other things at the house and two other builders have commented on the state of the wires at the side of the house (old phone/tv wires) and how could we have had a water resistant “secotherm” painted on when there are so many wires not in use and pins on side of wall which would only help water sit on or get into the wall.
All in all I think the work that was carried out was slap dash and not worth the £4k bill.
I would suggest you are on top of this company and check all work is being done correctly.

Organisation was very pleasant to talk with and arrange the work. Members of staff were polite and responsive to issues. Minor issues regarding scheduling but this is expected. Outstanding work regarding the installation of three appliances. I can see myself coming back for any future work should it be needed.
