Damp proofing course and repair
Initial Survey, professional and clear advice given with clear work required to remedy problem.All work carried out by Dazma, polite and professional at all times, work explained and carried out to a high standard. Through no fault of Dazmas work took a lot longer than expected due to weather conditions, that said communication with the office was purely customer driven and left a lot to be desired as to when work would be done.Very quick to send invoice for work without it being completed, rectified again Through customer interaction.
Work great however communication leaves a lot to be desired

We’re sorry that the communication from the office wasn’t as good as it should have been. Weather can sometimes cause delays, but we should still be keeping customers updated properly, rather than leaving you to chase.
We also apologise for the invoice being sent before everything was fully completed. That should have been picked up our side, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

Free woodworm survey
I got a free woodworm survey from this company. They sent an experienced surveyor round within a few days who took his time and was very professional. He confirmed that there was no active woodworm and did not try to sell me anything.

I cannot recommend this company due to…
I cannot recommend this company due to poor communication and a major installation failure, despite the best efforts of their frontline staff.
Moving Goalposts: After agreeing on a plan based on the initial survey, I was told on the day of installation that the agreed work wasn't feasible, forcing a last-minute change of plans.
Negligent Workmanship: They installed a new bathroom extractor fan and, despite my explicit request for the ducting to be checked, they left it venting directly into my loft. Leaving moisture to pump into a roof space is a massive mold risk and completely unacceptable.
Poor Communication & Pricing: Following these issues, communication stalled. It took a significant amount of time to get an updated quote, which shockingly turned out to be the exact same price as the original quote despite the delays and reduced/altered scope of work (this appears to be an admin error).
The only saving grace: The two technicians who came over on the second day of works. They were highly professional, polite, and happy to help resolve things, despite these systemic issues being absolutely no fault of their own.
Management needs to seriously look at their communication and quality control.

For clarity, the bathroom extractor fan work was an upgrade to an existing fan in the same ceiling location, rather than a new installation or full redesign of the existing ducting route. There appears to have been a misunderstanding at the time regarding what was being checked within the loft space. Once your concern was raised, we returned and corrected the extraction route free of charge.
Regarding the change to the planned works, sometimes once a job is underway it becomes clear that the original approach is not the most suitable or practical option on site. We appreciate that this should always be communicated clearly and promptly, and we are sorry if this caused frustration on the day.
We also acknowledge your comments regarding the revised quotation and the delay in communication. This appears to have caused unnecessary confusion, and we will be reviewing this internally.
We are pleased that you were happy with the two technicians who attended on the second day and appreciate your kind comments about them. Your feedback has been noted, and we will use it to improve how changes, checks and follow-up communication are handled in future.

Damp proofing of house…
From start to finish from the survey to the team that carried out the work very professional, explained at every point what was happening and why also very clean working and reinstalling boards that had to be removed.
Would definitely recommend them to anyone

Great company
I had riding damp internally and on an external wall and used them to complete the remediation work. The staff were friendly and helpful and made the whole process easy. The two men who visited to do the work, where great they were polite and friendly got on with the work and tidied up after. Great service and very happy with the whole process.

Terrible experience
Reasonable service to start with, the surveyor to inspect damp in our home and also initially the management team. However ours was a horror story - they sent us someone who didn’t know what he was doing,Even I realised he was doing the damp
Course around the house wrong. I received a threatening text from this person. And had to refer to the police. I was genuinely frightened. I asked for the work to be reinspected and was of such a poor quality it had to be done again.It was a really awful experience and left me feeling very vulnerable. The company reduced my invoice by 10% which was nothing to reflect the trauma I went through. I wish I had looked around further and would not recommend this company. They did not accept their responsibility for sending to us someone in their employ who clearly did not

The installer assigned to your job had completed our internal training and came to us with previous damp proofing experience. Unfortunately, it became clear that the standard of work on your property did not meet our expectations, and we acted on this as soon as it was brought to our attention.
We arranged for a senior team to return, fully reinspect the work, and redo the job to the correct standard. We also applied a credit to your invoice as a gesture of goodwill.
We take any concerns about communication very seriously and would never condone inappropriate behaviour from anyone representing our company. We also made clear that we would cooperate fully with any genuine police investigation if required.
While we regret that the original works caused you distress, we are pleased that we were able to return, put the work right, and ensure the job was completed properly. We have also reviewed the matter internally to strengthen our supervision and quality control processes.
We are sorry again that your experience began this way, and we appreciate the opportunity we were given to resolve the workmanship issues.
