I’m in the process of purchasing a Retirement Flat in Dorchester via the Homewise Lease for Life plan, Homewise have fundamental in helping with this.
They have excellent staff who help you through the process and are very diligent.

The matter is still ongoing but all those with whom I have had contact have been efficient and helpful thus far. They are very pleasant to deal with too.

The Homewise 60+ plan is an ideal way for my wife and I to live out our final years in a really nice house, mortgage free. The first house we chose did not meet our expectations following the Homebuyers report, however, with the help of Homewise we were able to quickly find an alternative. The house we have since secured via Homewise is really excellent and we're very happy with the way things have turned out.

I had a lengthy and very interesting conversation with Gary Moores (homewise) at the end of January 2025 in which he explained lots of homewise good points that could help us decide on a near future home move for my wife and myself and whether using homewise would be beneficial to us, I think with a bit of tweaking to the amount of money that homewise would be able to add to our cash realised from the sale of our flat we could probable move forward in the near future.

I have had 3 different consultants, although I do only speak to one person now.
I get mixed information which is very confusing.
The places I find are passed on to another team who are very rude in their responses, which unfortunately for them was forwarded to me by the consultant.

In 2019 my husband had to take early retirement. We went to homewise as we thought about moving to Lincolnshire. Before he signed the lease for life he asked three times would they help his wife (me) move back to sussexthey assured him they would. He passed in 2022 unexpectedly, so after a couple of months I contacted homewise three years later a lot of backwards and forwards they still didn’t help. Their excuse was that a mr Lawson of anchor estates now had the lease which I knew. I had also been in contact with him also. I did everything they asked and even got a buyer for the property but neither were willing to help. Then mr Lawson offer to give me £30.000 to give up the lease, after thinking about it and desperately trying to get back to Sussex I phoned him and agreed, with the knowledge of homewise. As I had to have contact with both. He said it was a one offer and now the price was 10.000. Not having my husband to help me I agreed. For the three years of dealing with both parties and not getting anywhere I did everything myself at 71 years of age. It seems to me that they pray on the elderly so beware. It would of been a lot easier to deal with the ss in Germany then the two people I had to deal with they are making out it was my choice to give up the lease but waiting for 3 years back and forth and nothing happening I had no choice. I even had a buyer for the Lincolnshire home but nobody did anything they just ignored it. The buyer was willing to pay 230.000 now it's on the market for 142.000.they said in their answer they gave me support but they didn't why did it take 3years with no results. They always have a answer but I think they are not frightened of elderly people that's why they pick them and of course its family run they are getting rich on other people

We are currently working with Homewise to secure our next home. Not easy and straightforward as we first thought, not been good experience so far, it’s very difficult to get a straight forward answer to any concerns, we have felt that they are not getting the best deal for us as a customer , it’s all a bit cloak and
dagger between them and the estate agents. We are not sure if we will still go ahead as things stand.

Becci is efficient, professional and very down to earth with that added, and much needed element of friendliness and humour. I am looking forward to going ahead with Homewise. Very helpful indeed.

The communication between them, solicitors and estate agents is absolutely disgusting. Every single time without fail every single company/person is waiting on Homewise. They seemingly move 1 piece of paper around 1 day at a time. Homewise have no communication skills whatsoever and are unable to think outside the box. Morally they are awful and just shrug their shoulders every single time and blame everyone else.

Helpful. Patient (with an old git and his printer!). Generous, leading to a successful conclusion in obtaining a suitable property. Cooperated with my family.

Initially I was hesitant in contacting Homewise as I had no idea of how the system worked. However I need not have worried. From the outset the client advisor was very patient, listened to what my criteria was, and gave me clear explanations and dealt with any queries I had.

Very friendly,polite staff,who explained the process simply and were able to clearly answer any questions we had.

When I needed an integrated oven and grill I had a recommendation to use homewise. I'm so glad I did. They were so helpful and had a lot of knowledge which helped me to choose the right one. They installed it the same week and even cleaned up after themselves!!

Great support from Samuel Stevens throughout. The process is made clear and accessible.
