I have been using Hostens for 6 years, but recently the quality of the service has declined significantly. I have been experiencing constant downtime on my websites, which is directly affecting my projects and web positionning.

On top of that, I have found that SSL, which used to be included as part of the service, now has to be paid for separately, without prior notice (I use to pay it triennially). After so many years as a customer, these changes and the instability of the hosting make me seriously consider moving all my websites to another provider.

It is a shame, because I trusted Hostens for a long time, but at the moment I do not feel that the service is up to standard in terms of either stability or value.

At first, they were excellent; their prices reflected the quality of their services. For the first few years, everything worked perfectly. But then their greed became apparent, and what you paid initially didn't match the value you had to pay for renewals the following year. If you checked their price list, it was very different from what they actually offered or how they tried to market themselves as an affordable web hosting company. Nothing could be further from the truth; their plans are extremely restrictive, and their prices are absurd, so you can find something much better elsewhere. Sometimes their services would fail, and when you asked why, they would play dumb or try to make you believe the problem was with the user, as if they were trying to evade responsibility. In my unfortunate experience, I don't recommend them now or ever. They have fine print, they hide prices, and they don't offer refunds; they simply take your money. I hope they have the resources to correct their absurd practices. If you need web hosting, choose another company; never choose this one. Their support is also inefficient.

Hostens is a reliable place for building and hosting my website. The free tools that come with the package are very helpful and are easy to use even if you don't know html. Email and blogging services have been equally as reliable and easy to use.
Tech support has been great too. Any issues I have had were addressed immediately and resolved very quickly!

Well nothing to report, they answer my questions, everything works.

Sent an email suggesting that I *manually* needed to renew, but took a payment from my credit card regardless. I guess that means they would take money from dead people too.

Extremely unhelpful in getting it resolved.

Hostens es un servicio para personas que quieran probar aplicaciones sencillas, pero NO es para nada recomendable usar para aplicaciones de producción.
Esta opinión tiene como base mi experiencia en casi 5 años de uso, en dónde sus "actualizaciones" de los servidores, provocaban caídas del servicio de entre varias horas a varios días.
Tambien en 3 oportunidades, me fue obligatorio reinstalar el sistema operativo y volver a instalar mis aplicaciones, debido a que Hostens NO realiza un correcto proceso de backup de sus servidores, provocando inaccesibilidad absoluta a sus servicios y pérdidas súbitas de datos.
Finalmente, pude apreciar un incremento de precios de más del doble cada año, en dónde se mantienen las mismas características de los servicios pero con precios mucho más altos de los contratados inicialmente.

Resolví, cambiar de proveedor después de tantos inconvenientes.
