DO NOT USE THIS SITE!!! They DO NOT pay you if an item you ship gets broken in transit. No matter how much you package it, they will say insufficient packing on your part. So you get back a broken item that you can’t sell. Poshmark does stand behind their word on that, you get paid if item is broken during shipping, but Mercari is nothing more than a bunch of liars. Now Mercari is having my review removed from here because they don’t believe I even had a buying /selling experience on there when they can see that I have 37 5 star reviews and my account has a balance.

I just recently ordered 3 items from a CCVIRGO on Mercari. She assured me that she shipped them. I waited over a week and the USPS said they never got that package. I messaged her about it and she said that she would probably just cancel and send me three more for free because of the inconvenience. I was ok with that. So she canceled and reposted the items I bought for resell. Turns out she never even shipped them. It's a shame they allow first time costumers to be treated like that and the seller gets away with it.

I am a Seller on Mercari and I agree they have horrible service . I have had two buyers now claim an item is not authentic so that they can return to get their money back. I guess buyers are finding a loop hole because there is nothing you can do. They automatically approve the return

MERCARI BUYERS who found out that the items you purchased are counterfeit or fake, but Mercari refused to process return and refund because the seller has been rated.
File a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission.

I wish I could give ZERO stars. OMG, they have horrible customer service. the 888 number automatically drops you as soon as you press ANY number. the app just tells you they are going to complete the transaction. I purchased ear buds but they did not work. The seller was fine with me returning and I did. Then after 4 days Mercari said they cant refund until I send them pictures. I had already sent it back to the seller. they are now saying they are going to release the payment to the seller even though I already returned it. Very difficult to communicate with them. I only joined two weeks ago but cant wait till this is resolved so that I can drop the app

Out of 7 orders placed I have only been unhappy with one, so I think that is pretty good odds! It's always a joy waiting for that next package! Thank you Mercari for taking such good care of me when I have concerns!

Customer service is absolutely terrible! Day 3 with no email response back...

Worst company ever at first it was working great, then one day they suspend me didnt know why, they tell me my bank, stop a payment because told me they double charged me, my bank did it not me, so after forever they showed me that it was a double charge so I called my bank to fix this issue and the bank said they cant till the company answers the letter, to prove it wasnt a double charge the bank is just looking out for me, then mercari keeps telling me they dont do anything with the banks i have to get it fixed my self i keep explaining the bank cant do anything till they do, so mercari told me i signed a contract and they will not answer the letter and i kept telling them it wasnt my fault i had nothing to do with it, and it keeps going around and around, worst customer service ever, hate this company and I'm making sure other beware, I had all 5 stars but they dont care, I also just did a review on the better business bureau everyone should to get this company stopped

Surprised to see so many bad reviews here because I actually had a good experience on the site. Got my order (a replacement car part) in about 4 days and it fit perfectly. Currently I sell on AtomicMall but will consider opening a store here as well.

received the wrong described pants. the seller sold JR XL pants as Men XL. they denied my return request even tough their return policy shows "buyer have a right to request the return for the wrong described item. they don't seem to know anything about their return policy. i had to file the same return dispute with Paypal and they approved the return request. Now they threaten "suspend my account" if i don't cancel Paypal dispute case. Keep away from Mercari. You will end up in the same nightmare like me!!!

They have cancelled/suspended my account stating there was a "bank inquiry" and therefore, they had to suspend my acct. I had 133 5-star reviews as a buyer and seller. So I reached out to find out what this is about, and I get sent the same response as they sent when they suspended me. They are unprofessional and we need to stop them! There was absolutely nothing going on for that reason they gave me which was a generic reason. I told them to let me show proof so I can reinstate my account privileges, and they don't do a damn thing, they just want my money. We ALL need to start a class action lawsuit. illegally app .

Mercari is a terrible company to work with. I was sold fake Apple AirPods from the seller “Scorpiosells” out of San Antonio. I bought them 2 weeks before Christmas. When my son opened them at Christmas a blue light was on and the Apple store said they were fake. Mercari would not refund me nor would they reprimand or boot their seller for selling fake product bc it wasn’t within the 3 day period. I just lost $115 and my son is very disappointed. Terrible company!

I sold a bridesmaid dress on Mercari in perfect condition and I never wore it. The seller received it and wore it for the weekend then requested a return stating it was covered in stains and rips when she received it. They issued her a refund and forced me to pay the shipping. I got the dress back and it was not stained or ripped but REAKED of cigarettes and now I have to also pay to have it cleaned. Mercari will not reimburse me for any of the costs or for the dress. So it cost me money for someone else to wear and destroy my item and they will do nothing about it. This site promotes scamming. They obviously didnt look at any evidence of whether the item was sold as described because it was exactly as described. I've also had buyer dtate that they received an old tshirt in stead of the item I sent and mercari refunds them the money and I'm out the item. Terrible system. Use poshmark

Everything is over priced. Still funny to me how people try to sell used things for same price as new or sometimes even over the price of new.

All of the sudden, i am I started to get the pop up “unauthorized user” out of blue.
I tried to message customer service but I got the pop up “unable to send a message to API”. I called customer service twice and selected 4 to talk to a representative but the line cut off both times.

Just bought some Brooks running shoes from user pppl that were described as NEW. 7 days later my order had not shipped so canceled the order. Seller shipped shoes anyway. Received right at Christmas and didn’t inspect them before 3 days were up. Shoes soles were painted, tread was worn down and top of both shoes were burnt. No response from seller when I requested a refund. Judging from other reviews it will do no good to complain to Mercari. Total scam!!! Will never order again!

I bought a hello Kitty kitchen.
It was listed as new and in the box it came in.
I was very happy to buy it thinking it would be new.
The seller sent it wrapped in a garbage bag.
The item came broken and with missing pieces.
Tried to contact mercari and the seller but no response.
Would not use this service.
I would recommend people to stay away.
Can't use a broken toy.

I'm a seller and I find Mercari trys to bully me into listing my items at the price they suggest!.I went to my items to lower my prices alittle and they wouldn't allow me to do it!! the only option was to sign up for the automatic mark down option where they have control of my prices!!!!. Seriously,!!this is ridiculous!! I don't even have control over my own listings!!. I'm seriously considering taking down my items.

Terrible site with terrible customer service. Stay away from onestopshop. This person took my money and only sent half my order. Mercari refused to deal with it.

Do not use this site. I was not home to receive and open my package until 5 days after the package was recieved. Contacted the seller she said yeah she would refund just go through Mercari. They said nope to bad. Been over 3 days. So I am stuck with a product that was wrongly represented. Do not recommend.
