Flight ticket refund

On 8 Jan 2026, I book my flight ticket Delhi-Dimapur thru ixigo.com. It was cancelled and I got the information immediately from them. Then I request for a refund which was process immediately. Since I was traveling, I couldn't take up the matter soon. I contacted ixigo customer service team thru phone after two months. After a couple of emails exchanges, the team helped me with the details to check with my bank. I did and it helped resolved the matter in a weeks time.

Regarding hotel booking

I booked a hotel for ₹7100 through ixigo, but when I reached, there was no booking. After requesting, the hotel agreed to give me a room for ₹6200 for two nights (first night in a guest room, second in a tourist room).
I contacted ixigo, and they said their partner (Prospera Hospitality) would call. Prospera refunded ₹8000 (including ₹800 compensation) from a personal account. Later, ixigo emailed saying I didn’t need to pay anything.
This created confusion since I had already received the full amount. When I asked for clarification, Prospera asked me to return the money and even threatened to raise a complaint when I hesitated. I returned the amount, then Prospera paid the hotel ₹6200, and I received ₹1000 refund from ixigo.
This entire experience was stressful and wasted two days. ixigo should ensure confirmed bookings through their partners. Also, partners should communicate professionally and not use personal accounts for transactions.

Relly bad

Relly bad, I have booked two, room for today in rashikesh, the hotal guys says me they have only one room, and it's also not king size, but I don't know how ixigo booked two room, now they are saying they can refend me my money of one room, they are saying it's between you and room owner.

Dear Team,

I am very disappointed with your service. I strongly advise others not to book tickets through your app due to the poor customer support experience.

I booked a flight ticket through your app, but I received incorrect and confusing information regarding the boarding time. The message I received mentioned one time, while the actual boarding time was different. Because of this mistake, I faced serious inconvenience.

When I contacted customer care, I did not receive a proper response. The answers given were very unsatisfactory and unhelpful. I have already raised a complaint with the airline as well.

It has now been more than 15 days, and I am still receiving the same response without any resolution. This delay is unacceptable.

Kindly take immediate action and resolve my issue as soon as possible.

IXIGO is not a trustworthy flight booking site.

*The airline cancelled the flight, and the fare was only partially reimbursed.*
I paid Rs 2383 through ixigo.com for an airline ticket booking from Bangalore to Cochin on Akasa Air QP 1361 economic class, on 11/11/2025. RCTR7X is the PNR for my verified ticket.
I received an email from Akasha Air on 24/11/2025, informing me that my ticket had been cancelled because of the winter season scheduling. Regretfully, they were unable to rebook me another trip, so they were refunding the full cost. They asked me to respond through the link attached to the mail to initiate the refund processing. Soon I did it accordingly. As I found that the refund was not received even after 3 months of the cancellation I send a mail to the customer care of Akasa air.
According to their email reply to me, the airline transferred the entire amount of the flight fare—rupees 2383—to ixigo.com on January 18, 2026. However, I didn't receive a refund or notification from ixigo.com until March 5, 2026, when I addressed ixigo about the status of my refund. Then they said the refund is not received from the akasa airlines. Then I attached the mail received from the airlines stating that the refund had been passed on to ixigo on the 18th of January itself.
On March 8, about four months after I initiated the payment, a sum of rupees 1994 was processed to my account after deducting Rs 389.
The ticket was cancelled because of the Akasa airline winter schedule, not because I made a mistake. As a result, I asked Ixigo to reimburse me for the full amount plus bank interest for keeping my money for an extended period of time without any justification until I made a refund request.
However, ixigo refused to reimburse the remaining sum @Rs. 389 and the interest.
Hence IXIGO is not a trustworthy booking site.

Please note that the convenience fee paid at the time of booking is non-refundable, even if the flight is cancelled by the airline. However, as a one-time goodwill gesture, we have processed a refund of the convenience fee, which will be credited by 29th March 2026.

As flight operations are beyond our control, we are unable to process any compensation. We request you to reach out to the airline directly for any compensation-related queries. Thank you for your understanding!
