I purchased a Pixel Google phone from JB HiFi quite a while back. Unfortunately, I was sold junk protection/insurance for my phone. This is apparently nothing new when it comes to JB HiFi selling junk products to customers:
I pad an extra $300 as I was told by the guy who I bought the phone from that I would be able to have it replaced at any time if the phone was damaged etc. I did the same thing when I bought a Bluetooth speaker and can have that replaced at anytime, so I assumed from what I was told that this'll be the same case. It isn't. For my phone I have to pay an additional $145 if I want a replacement (as my phone is busted) and I refuse to pay that because I already paid the $300 for protection/insurance. I was pretty much told by their manager Cecilia to apply for a phone replacement via Home and contents. I am going to try to get my $300 back but if I don't get it, JB HiFi has lost customers forever. Moving forward it is safer to purchase phones from the brand stores instead of places like JB HiFi whose intention is to rip you off.

I shop at JBhifi quite regularly. I've never had a bad experience with buying from there. I have not had any issues with any of the products I have purchased either though, so I can't comment on returns. But I am always happy with the staff and service when I shop there
Amazing customer service and ongoing support
It was just a small purchase this time, but I wanted to use the opportunity to share my constant satisfaction with their level of support over the many years I have shopped with them. I once purchased a laptop from them, and after having numerous issues over the years, they fully refunded it well out of its warranty period. They didn't even force me to take a voucher to spend with them. I was very impressed. I continue to shop with them reliably.
No customer service
I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience following the purchase of the latest iPhone and Apple Watch Series 10 around two months ago from JB Hi-Fi.
At the time of purchase, I followed the staff’s recommendation and also bought a cover for the Apple Watch. I take great care of my devices, and the watch has been well protected throughout.
Recently, when I removed the cover to change the watch band, I noticed that the watch skin had peeled off. There was no dust, sand, or external factors behind the cover that could have caused this issue.
I visited both JB Hi-Fi and the Apple Store (Penrith branch) to report the issue, accompanied by Miss Maddie.
Unfortunately, both stores told me that since the damage is considered "cosmetic" it’s not covered under warranty, and I would need to pay for the repair or replacement myself.
This was frustrating and disappointing, especially considering the short time I’ve had the watch.
I previously used Android and Samsung devices and made the switch to Apple based on the reputation for excellent customer service.
Unfortunately, this experience has not lived up to those expectations.
Now I’m left with a brand-new Apple Watch, just two months old, showing damage that I did not cause and that neither Apple nor JB Hi-Fi is willing to take responsibility for.
This is not the level of quality or service I expected from Apple or its retail partners.

Bought a mobile phone called RUIO Blitz for $149 about 2 weeks ago. Transferred all my info. This phone is so bad that I got to type slowly for the screen to catch up. Type too fast and your Apps tell you that you typed the wrong password. Staff are just interested in making a sale, not sorting out problems

Would not use JB Hi Fi Mobile staff ever again for phone or contract services. They yold me incorrect information regarding moving my old number to a new contract with them to sign to a JB HI contract with them and then was unable to bring my number over meaning I had to change my number completely or pay for two contract. Gave no suggestion or solution, just said their staff would not do that and I would have to pay out the new contract.

Happily employed and regularly working there until lately where I've been met with no responses to calls or messages regarding shifts! Made budget each month and got along with coworkers well but I guess greedy transactional managers care about their own backline more than their employees and that's why your company is getting worse.

What went wrong is that express delivery from Launceston to Hobart was supposed to take 2 days, but .... nine days and counting.Take out Easter weekend, still 5 days.
Online support is useless. They just keep promising delivery "later today" and it never happens.
In the end cancelled order ... only to be told that I won't get a refund unless and until the courier returns the missing parcel to them. Is that legal?

I bought a top brand 4 sliced toaster early last year, then household power tripped every time the toasting lever is pressed the day before yesterday so I retuned to JB HIFI with the faulty product and the sales receipt . Simple one question on why I am returning the product. It got exchanged easily with similar product and shortfall refund.
There was no tactical "detective" questions or "calling the store manager" attitude.

Review: I purchased a Samsung 75” TV from JB Hi-Fi in 2017 for over $4,200. It failed in 2019 and was replaced with a newer model in 2021. Now, that replacement has also failed—completely unusable.
JB Hi-Fi is refusing to take responsibility, instead sending me to Samsung. Under Australian Consumer Law, the retailer is obligated to offer a refund or replacement when there’s a major failure—not the manufacturer.
Despite submitting a formal complaint (Support Ticket #4206082), and a phone call with the store, nothing has progressed. The staff agreed to email an update, but I never received it.
Two failed TVs, over $4,000 spent, and zero accountability. Would not recommend.

Have placed an order for mac mini M4 and they didn't palce the order for the shipment. The product delayed without a possible receiving date. Worst service ever. Would not recommend for online purchases and would avoid the company as a whole if possible.
