I've never had a back order, lost shipment, etc. 1 time FedEx damaged the box and 2 bottles went missing. Laithwaites took care of it and shipped me 2 replacements.

Lathwaite's Won't Issue Refund
I ordered a case of wine from Lathwaite's. The total cost was over $400. The wine was shipped on or about June 22, 2026 from The Wine Cellar in Red Bank, NJ. I received notice from Federal Express that for some reason there was a shipping error, and that the wine was being returned to Lathwaite's (to The Wine Cellar). The Fed X history shows that the wine was returned to the store on June 29, 2026. It is now July 10, 2026, and I still have not received my refund. The Wine Cellar does not answer its phone. Calls to Lathwaite's have also been useless.

We are not able to guarantee a specific delivery date or time within your estimated delivery window, and recommend contacting FedEx directly to schedule a specific delivery time or hold at a nearby pickup location where you can pick it up when it's convenient for you. We have also submitted a complaint on your behalf regarding previous orders being left without a proper signature, and will continue to follow up on this with FedEx in order to avoid this in the future.

It looks like when your order was placed, an estimated delivery window of July 3rd through 5th was provided, and your order was on track to meet this estimate until a request was submitted to FedEx to hold the delivery for pickup.
Pickup requests can cause a delivery to experience a delay while it's being routed to the pickup location, and FedEx should notify you that this is a possibility while submitting the pickup request. We're sorry if this didn't happen. We have submitted a complaint on your behalf and will follow up with FedEx to ensure that this doesn't happen in the future.

They changed my subscription without authorization
Signed up for club that advertised as "every 3 months" but somehow it converted "magically" into an every month thing. Customer service tried to explain it away as "being included" but that is not what I ordered. Cancelled and suggest not giving money to shady businesses like Laithwaites.

The extra delivery you received in May was your Summer Holiday delivery, a special collection of wines offered to our regular customers as we often find that our customers need extra wine around the holidays. This is explained in the terms to which you agreed when placing your introductory order. We send a mailer with instructions for opting out approximately 6 weeks before the order began preparing, and another notification by email approximately 10 days before. And of course, you always have the option of opting out permanently from additional holiday shipments if you wish.
