Awful company was quoted £70 on the phone and ended up being £312 for a basic lock not sure drilling the lock instead was completely necessary we only locked the keys inside the flat.
I had an absolutely terrible experience…
I had an absolutely terrible experience with 24H Locksmith Ltd. My 6-year-old son, me and wife were left stranded outside our home with a broken key stuck in the lock, and instead of providing a fair service, this company took advantage of our emergency situation.
They charged an outrageous £580 for a simple job, with no prior warning about the cost. The service was rushed, unprofessional, and nowhere near worth the price. When I questioned the charge, I was met with dismissive and rude behavior.
This is nothing short of daylight robbery. If you are in an emergency, DO NOT call 24H Locksmith Ltd—you’ll be left out of pocket with a nightmare experience. I am now reporting them to Trading Standards and seeking a refund through my bank.
Avoid at all cost!
Grant and Co Services were called out…
Grant and Co Services were called out to get a broken key out of a lock. We were initially quoted £55, I rang back to confirm this. We were eventually charged £376.80 to drill out the lock. The lock to be replaced was estimated to be anywhere from £200 - £500 and that was without fitting. I was appalled and disgusted as the price we paid. We were literally over a barrel.
CROOK
Conned my 77 year old mother out of £547.20 for a simple barrel change; 5 minutes work and £20 materials.
Also charged VAT and doubtful that he’s VAT registered.
AVOID!
Police, Trading Standards, Watchdog and Action Fraud all aware.
Rude on the phone when asking for a…
Rude on the phone when asking for a price, I cancelled them immediately thank god before they came. Called a locksmith who had good reviews who said they’d had dealings with this company before. He said give up on the lock after 5 minutes, drill into it then charge you £400 and can’t fix the actual problem. He Mentioned about him having a bad attitude before I said anything thank god they didn’t turn out
Unlocking the Door
When I called them, I was quoted £55 as service call out fee and the cost of fixing or replacing the lock is subject to on-site inspection. It turned out to be £79+VAT on service call out fee as they claimed sending someone from London whilst I was in Berkshire. The locksmith only tried 3 minutes & advised that he has to drill a hole to bolt which cost me another £170 which could end up £300 or more!
On a last note, I didn’t believe in him and got another locksmith. He only charged me £75 and he managed to get it done in less than a minute. Neither drilling nor replacing a new lock is required at all. So, you can tell locksmith-24h.co.uk is a liar and conducted business in an immoral way. It’s such a disgraceful company. Avoid them at all cost!!!
Trading as Grant & Co Services
Trading as Grant & Co Services. Absolutely disgraceful company they conned an 80 year old neighbour who lives alone, he has just been charged: Call out £49 + Door opening £189 + Labour £39 + RIM lock £149 + Vat Total = £511.20 to change his locks. I will be contacting relevant authorities to try and claim this money back. Please AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Shameful that they think that's okay to exploit the elderly who just wanted to gain access to their house.

I Got Scammed into paying £210 for a two minute job, then was shouted at and intimidated into paying the fee while i had not been informed beforehand or consulted. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Scammers and bullies
Quoted £50 on the phone and then £180 when they arrived before extorting £276 out of my wife when the job was done. Demanding payment when she was on her own and vulnerable at night. Disgraceful behaviour - strongly recommend you call ANYONE else.
DO NOT USE
DO NOT USE
Misquoted prices. Randomly came up with numbers. Charged me £400 for a job which other companies have now stated would be around £50-80.

DISGUSTING
DISGUSTING
these two men arrived, misquoted prices, and then tried to charge me £800 to saw off my deadbolt! I refused to pay £800, he removed the deadbolt, smashed the front of my front door with his screwdriver (which is just weird), broke and stole parts to our Yale lock, swore at me profusely and then drove off. Do not use this company it was a bloody nightmare…

This company do not even deserve 1 star…
This company do not even deserve 1 star - I am furious that they quoted my extremely vulnerable sister one price verbally then charged her over 4 times more. Absolutely disgusting!! They also trade as Grant & Co services from Romford.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY they are…
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY they are scammers. Prices on the website quote from £50 - completely false advertising. This company is located 10 minutes drive from my house. When I called I said this was not an emergency, however given the close proximity to my house they could be there in 15 minutes. This also occurred between 10-11AM on a week day - hardly 'out of hours'. The technician was here for literally 15 minutes and then slapped me with a bill for £450. You can pay less then half of this for exactly the same service, on a Sunday morning of a bank holiday for context. Look elsewhere or be ripped off!
Scam artists do not go with this…
Scam artists do not go with this company ever. They are absolute scammers. They quoted me £150 including materials and labour for a bedroom door lock and I was charged £562 after it was done.
another sad story here
another sad story here. I am a foreigner and just moved to a new place in London. I called them on Sunday morning and during the call, they quoted me with £50 and send a locksmith but charged me with £120. I said yes as everything was in my place. However, the locksmith saw me that I lived alone and he threaten me to pay £840 at the end. I was terrified to pay him to ask him leave. Please everyone see this comment and don't be fooled by them anymore.
I too got stung by hidden costs
I too got stung by hidden costs. I got charged £720 for the replacement of a medium security lock. The only costs I got told about up front were the call out charge of £60 and the lock cost which was £210. My partner was heartbroken when she found out what our small mistake cost us. I may well take legal advice about this too. It’s a shame because the service was good.
Unknowingly scammed
I was recently locked out of my home with no shoes, no phone and no money. A passer by called a locksmith for me, being these guys. Obviously given the circumstances I had no idea who’d been called for me and no say in the selection.
The gentleman was lovely, but I was upset the bill came to over £500. (Call was around 7.30pm so not ungodly hours.)
I posted what happened on social media including the bill and have been flooded by professionals pointing out I have been scammed. The lock I paid almost £200 for is £20 online - the link was sent to me as verification and the lock is not British Standard either. I am very short of money as a single parent and I am devastated to see what I thought was a helpful company take advantage of me at a vulnerable time. A professional locksmith whom I’ve never met reached out and explained this job should have been around £100. I paid £513.
I did pay on credit card and my bank are now investigating under false representation. I did sign paperwork but I was locked out without glasses and in a huge panic, so I guess another way I was taken advantage of.
Taking advantage of vulnerable people is very low.
Absolute thieving scum!
Absolute thieving scum!! 2 Roug intimidating tattooed Romanians came out I was quoted £49 £80 £180 then given bill for £294 and intimidated into paying
