Locksmith 24h

HIGH WAY ROBBERS & SCAMMERS: Stay away from these people. Complete rip off merchants. Biggest con artists around and very clever. I should have read the reviews first, but was locked out, and they seemed reasonable when I booked them as was quoted £55. However, there was no disclosure at any point of the astronomical and inflated charges to be incurred when he could not open the door. Initially, he tried running a piece of laminated paper along the inside of the door to get the latch, but was unsuccessful and had to change the cylinder. I was shafted with an invoice for £530 (inc vat) that had to be paid immediately by bank transfer. These charges consisted of: £49 for the call out fee, £79 for the Labour fee, £189 to open door by drilling 2 holes in existing cylinder, and £125 for a replacement cylinder. Not the £55 I was quoted. As you can see this is tantamount to daylight robbery. Please note that I was not allowed to pay by credit card, as this would have allowed me to raise a dispute about this. Very clever and conniving indeed!

They are scammers
Young
Eastern european guy arrived at my locked frontdoor driving an expensive bmw...he was very cocky and rude at times laughing at me. He is not a locksmith at all. Didnt pick the lock for 3 mins then made excuses about the lock insulting my ex bf who put it up.

An excuse to drill in my lock and charge me hundreds. I sent him away and paid 36 for his time.

Dont be fooled, they dont drive expensive bmw for picking locks..its for drilling in the lock and charging hundreds

They are not locksmiths they know how to drill locks...

My lock can fit a key so how comes it cant be picked????

Anyways i called my brother and got into my home easily

I wouldn't give this company any stars but you can't write a review without a star !!
Abosolutely terrible experience. Key stuck in patio door lock. I seriously doubt the guy who came is a locksmith. Drilled through the lock dismantled the yale 6 hook & left this in bits couldn't secure the door left handle on the floor saying would have to maybe tie it with rope to the radiator.! Had to pay £324 for time and the part then more when he returned. Possibly in a day or 2 days. Followed up with calls to cancel & requested canceling of transaction. No call from management . Had to get a locksmith to repair the whole lock & yale 6 hook cost £164 for a professional. He stated absolutely didn't need drilling out or the Yale 6 stripping .
Don't use this company always use local trade checked professionals

This company need to be track down by trading standard. This scam is 100% not locksmith but use this common name and nicely web designed to trick people into call them without checking reviews they are not locksmith. They are lockscam. They sent unqualified technician and damaged my lock and ask me to pay extra £300 to fix their crap work. Young unqualified technician spent 4 hours just to damage my lock i called the office really doubting if he can finish up the job as he was so struggling for 4 hours and in the end he gave up i wrongly still paid him even my door only locked haft way seem easily kicked down i still paid him haft price and found out my lock has damaged and had to call other company to fix it. I called scam office next day he asked me to show receipt and was so upset its only paid haft price. How company like this still existing and why these scam not getting investigated by government. I will try my best to track this down as its so wrong to legally deceive and rob people’s money

It looks like a total scam. They know that there is very little you can do, so they charge you 59£ just to show up, then they tell you that they need to drill and break the lock, charging an extra 210£ and then who knows how much they ask for a lock replacement, if you want my advice please avoid this service

Please avoid this company - they quoted £150 on the phone and then charged more than £500 for drilling out a lock and fitting a new one.
The client was a young woman, locked out of her house on her own in the evening and she was completely ripped off.

Well like everyone else I was scammed out of a lot of money - it charged VAT but it does not have a VAT number so make sure you refuse to pay it or make sure you pay by Credit Card and get your money back. Also report this company to the tax office for avoidance of VAT. A complete fraud of a company.....make sure you never use them

Expensive, uncontactable after, no invoice, poor customer service

WARNING - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - 24H Locksmith Ltd, 158 Uxbridge Rd, W13 8SB.

However desperate you are please do not use this company, they are completely dishonest and exploitative. They came to do a simple job in my daughter's flat (replacing a bathroom door lock and handle) and charged £700, a massive mark-up on the cost of the materials used, which we found online for c £30. As others have noted, they also fraudulently charged VAT, when apparently they are not VAT-registered. The worse thing is how they intimidated my daughter into paying - they knew beforehand that she was a young woman and likely from a prior conversation with me to be on her own in the flat, sent 2 men to do the work (one allegedly a 'trainee' - training in what??!) and refused to leave the flat until she paid. To get them out of the flat I advised her to pay.
They are an absolute disgrace and should not be allowed to continue operating.

BEWARE***Offered service for 50£. Called out. Drilled lock. Charged 170£. When I went to pay they added vat of 50£. Then wanted an extra 250£ + vat to fit a new lock. Total 420£ + additional vat they were going to add on. My front door is now a mess. Don’t not hire

Looking at these reviews, I got off lightly. Completely unprofessional and wanted to drill my lock out and replace a £20 barrel for £90. I had to pay £39 to cancel the service.
Called a reputable company who got the broken key out in 10 minutes.

Scammers. Do not i
Use. Just for 2 minutes they charged me £300. They are real scammers. Plzzzzzz do not call this people.

A dreadful company who overcharge people for jobs that would cost a fraction of the charge.

I was charged 348.00 for a simple job that should only have been approx 150.00 - this has been confirmed by a trusted builder friend.
I am so angry that I have been robbed by these people, and know that I should have looked at reviews - but when you desperately need a locksmith you don't spend time reading reviews!
It's too late for me, but I just want to stop others from being fleeced too.

Fleeced! £157 for a lock that costs at most £30. I guess it was my own fault for not validating the price of the lock. Otherwise they came in record time and did sort out my problem. Shame on the locksmith for doing this!

I wish I had checked these reviews before. My door lock broke and I called this company to fix my lock. I was told the charge will be for a callout and whatever the lock costs I was charged £607 for a 10 min job with 6 items on the bill including opening the door however I let this guy in through the window. I have sent multiple emails and phoned the company and was told management will call me back but this has not happened. These are nasty scammers taking advantage of our vulnerable situation and has left me feeling really distressed.

Left my keys inside the House £411
Very nice guy came in 20 min and drilled lock, replace it and after 5 min got invoice:
Emergency service : 169£
Change lock:115£
Call out fee: 59£
Total 411£

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE
ABSOLUTE FRAUDERS!!!

Just found out my elderly neighbours have been ripped off to the tune of £429.60 - All because they left their key in the lock on inside of the door & these villains made no effort to use any actual locksmith techniques and drilled the lock out - Charged for call out, labour for drilling lock out = £166.80!!!

I am disgusted and contacting the fraud team on their behalf asap!!

Ripped my wife on when she was on her own with our crying baby. Scum of the earth. Charged her nearly £600 Inc VAT but they are not even VAT registered. Avoid at all costs. Dangerous and prey on people.

Scam Scam Scam
Warning ‼️ Warning ‼️ Warning ⛔️

Be careful. The positive emails are scams. The locksmith (158 Uxbridge Road) charged me over one thousand pounds to change my lock. DO NOT USE THEM. They exploit in particular women living on their own. Sad that I have to put one star in order to post this. BEWARE!
