I can recommend this company extremely highly. The booking system was quick and efficient, my questions were answered fully and I was given a fixed price for the proposed work. On the day I was phoned in advance of the team's arrival, as I had asked, and they arrived on time and were extremely polite and reassuring. My blocked drain was cleared very quickly, the problem was explained to me and it was demonstrated that the problem was resolved before the work was considered complete. The price I had been quoted was what I paid. All in all, a very satisfactory experience. I will be keeping their details on my "very helpful people" file!

Avoid this company if you want CCTV, drain mapping or detailed reports. I did not get what I paid for instead of a CCTV with links to footage of the drains, I received some grainy PDFs. I received no definitive reports about the condition of the drains, just a few verbal comments from the technician on the day and a bunch of legends. As for the mapping, that involved the technician measuring the distance between the external and internal manhole by counting his strides.

Don't trust this company.

My tenant had a blocked toilet it was an ongoing problem and had a plumber round who could not get to it unblocked. So I had to call London drains and was very impressed as they came out the same day. Joe had all the equipment and had a camera in the drain we soon saw what the problem was a foreign object. he simply blasted it out with a high pressure hose.

Our experience with London Drains Direct is the worst of all interactions we’ve had with tradesmen. This company is dishonest, rude and they would do anything to get your money! What they provide and what they advertised on their website are completely different. Forget about the £60 plus VAT quote you see on their website - this won’t be what you eventually have to pay! Before they arrive they are already determined to charge you at least £120 plus VAT.

It’d be interesting if all future reviewers also answer the questions below, then we can see how dishonest this company is!!
- How long did it take for the plumber to decide that your situation would require him using a machine? For us it was 5 seconds!!
- Did the plumber use manual plunger and rod (advertised as being part of the £60 plus VAT service and only when they exhausted these they’d use the machine)? For us the plumber used only the plunger but not the rod, and for merely 5 seconds!!
- For the £120 plus VAT service, did you receive the CCTV inspection, which is advertised on their website? Nope.
- Did you get the guarantee they advertised as part of the £120 plus VAT service? No, the plumber took one look at the pipes and declared that they were in such poor state that no guarantee can be offered.
- Were you pressured to get an even more expensive service? Yes! The plumber said £120 plus VAT is to unblock the drain and they can’t guarantee the blockage won’t come back anytime soon. However if we pay £245 plus VAT they can do a clean and “return the pipes to a brand new state”. We thought that anyone making that kind of bold claim is naturally dubious. Funny that we saw in other reviews that some people were offered the clean for only £195 plus VAT! The plumber became extremely rude after we declined the clean.

Such a dishonest company. Entice you with a fixed quote but you’ll end up paying more than double! The whole £144 (£120 plus VAT) job took less than 5 minutes. That’s £28.8 per minute! You’ll be better off calling a plumber with hourly charge.

I had an emergency with a leaking washing machine overflow pipe because of blocked drains. Ben and Dan arrived within 3 hours as promised and have done the whole job in around 20 minutes. I am still waiting for a quote from someone who came round 3 weeks ago.

I know it's pretty hit and miss with some trades people but the woman on reception was really friendly when I called and both guys were professional, friendly and put my washing machine back in the cupboard AND tidied up my brushes and mops - way beyond what you might expect.

A relief to find such a reliable and responsive company at last.

After being let down by Dyno, I came across London Drains Direct on google. From initial contact I found the company was very helpful,informative and assured me my blockage would be investigating. Ryan the engineer who attended called me before arriving and was very informative and friendly. He solved my blockage and he cleaned after himself. He was very careful and considerate.
A company I shall be recommending. 5 ⭐️ for the company and 5⭐️ to Ryan.

Found this company to be very accomodating in making the booking for a drainage block emergency. Engineers who attended were very helpful and friendly. They did a greart job and provided a limited time guarantee.

We woke up on a Sunday morning to overflowing outdoor drains. The engineer came out at the agreed time--he was very friendly and professional, carried out his work quickly and efficiently, solving our issue and giving us peace of mind. I would definitely recommend London Drains Direct.

Stay away from this people. I had a blockage in the bath tap and basin. The guy came and took some hair oit from the pipe but the actual problem was a blockage in the drainage out site which links to bathtap.

The guy told me is all good and took the payment from me of 144.00 and after the payment has gone through the noise from bathtap start coming back again. I told him that the bathtap blockage is nothing to do with the hair but with the blockage outside. Tge water was standing and not going down the drain. But because the payment has gone throught he said he can try to u block it for another 144.00.

Rip off. I was promised that the max charge is 144.00 to rectify the problem.

Its still there not being rectified. The engineer should have checked the drainage connected to the bath first and not taking a hair out. You can find hair in every shower or bathtap but this was not actual problem.

Stay away from this company . Book Homeserve at least they will not rip you off and regulated company.

My experience using drains direct has been really positive.The Back office team are friendly and helpful. The engineers communicate well and all the work has been to a high standard. I'd recommend them highly.

Alan came to our property to clear our front drains. He arrived early keeping me updated, and was extremely courteous and helpful. As he cleared our drain he kept us updated as to progress and possible causes. We’ve had 3 different people look at the drain but Alan was the first to actually fix the issue and remove a large pipe obstacle that was blocking the drain buried deep down.
After clearing the blockage and checking water was flowing correctly he jet washed the surrounding area to make everything clean. All of this was carried out within 1 hour.
I would highly recommend London drains direct and would use them for the future!

We had gurgling noises and awful smell from our bathroom called these gentleman over and they fixed the issue and stuck to agreed price!

Literally the whole of our downstairs was flooded, so we got London drains around to help fix the issue, they found the pipes damaged with roots and blockages. Cleared in a couple of hours and also helped us get all flooded area sorted with their gear. Thanks chaps - life savers!

Be warned about London Drains Direct questionable quotation methods as they will con you into paying much more than you need to. I contacted them to unblock two toilets after seeing their advertised price was £160 + VAT for a machine clearance. When they attended, they said the job would be much more involved, that toilets would have to be removed and being wall mounted toilets it wouldn’t be easy etc etc. They quoted a fixed price of £425 + VAT and got me to sign before they commenced. As it turned out they didn’t have to remove the toilets at all, they did a simple machine clearance using a Flexi-Shaft machine and were out in less than an hour. Despite phoning and emailing they have ignored my requests for a refund of the difference.
