Where do I start?
Just back from the North India tour. Amit and his team ensured safe and fun passage across several states with seamless organisation with 31 people using planes, trains, coaches, cabs, boats, jeeps, rickshaws and tuk tuks. No mean feat.
Every issue that arose ( dodgy tums, lost belongings) were sorted without fuss and immediately.
The published itinerary was enhanced along the way with lots of extras that made this trip fun filled and an experience of a lifetime.
The hotels and food were top notch- no cut corners, and Amit’s professional handling of every aspect of this tour was exemplary. He was ably assisted by the inimitable Elvis, and his back up team.
Great stuff, with huge thanks to all.
I will certainly be using Mercury again!

Lots of Miles, Lots of Smiles!
Our Grand North India Tour was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. India is an incredible country, full of colour, culture and unforgettable sights. The itinerary was packed and while it could be tiring at times, every early start and long day was more than worth it.
I particularly want to recognise our Tour Manager, Amit Bhardwaj, who was exceptional throughout. Amit's organisational skills were second to none, ensuring every aspect of the trip ran seamlessly. More importantly, he genuinely cared about every member of the group, always making sure everyone was comfortable, informed and enjoying themselves.
His knowledge, patience, humour and calm approach transformed a very good holiday into an outstanding one. Travelling through a country as vibrant and diverse as India could have been overwhelming, but Amit made everything feel effortless.
Special thanks to our guide, Elvis, who was equally impressive, offering fascinating insights into India's history, culture and traditions.
The tour itself was excellent and our fellow travellers were a wonderful group of people, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Thank you, Amit and Elvis, for an unforgettable holiday.

The person that I spoke to who organised our holiday was very helpful and professional. As we knew where we wanted to go to, the accommodation we required and all other necessay details, the operative was able to spend time making sure we had the best options with flights, hotel & accommodation. She was very kind. Thank you &mI shall not deviate from Mercury travel again - it is not worth it!

Outstanding "Grand tour of India"
We have just returned from a Mercury 'Grand tour of Northern India' What an experience! The sights, sounds, organisation and activities were outstanding. The tour was made even better by our tour leader Amit Bhardwaj whose humour, care and split second organisation managed to get 31 of us and our luggage safely around a very challenging itinerary without losing as much as a charging cable! An unforgettable experience.

Value for money and extremely professional. Highly recommended.
Having just returned from our Indian holiday, this was our first experience of using Mercury and wow were we impressed! Special mention must be made about Amit Bhardwaj, our guide for the duration. His easy manner, sense of humour and professionalism really made the holiday and he is a credit to the company.
We were particularly impressed when due to our own mistake, we made our way to the wrong exit at Delhi airport. However, Amit turned up with a smile as usual, in what for him must have been a very stressful situation. The advice he gave us from the start was also very accurate and especially when dealing with the street traders, who at times can be quite intimidating.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Mercury to my friends and family and will certainly be using the company again. The standard of accommodation was also extremely impressive and exceeded our expectations.

Tour not as described
We have had a number of tours with Mercury and have been entirely satisfied. For this tour "Iguazu Falls, Rio and the Jaguars of the Pantanal", which also included 2 days in Salvador, all the guides were great, although I would have preferred an extra day in Rio. The problem was the jaguars. We stayed at a beautiful ecolodge, with guides who were specialists in bird and river otter watching. We were at least 200 km (and 400 km by road) from the area where there is a 90-95% chance of seeing Jaguars, whereas our guide couldn't remember when she had last seen a jaguar. Mercury's literature showed the jaguars and said we had a good chance to see them, when we had a virtually zero chance. People had booked the holiday because they hoped to see jaguars. Obviously nothing can be guaranteed, but it would have been sensible to have been accommodated in the area where there was at least a chance of seeing them.-

He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, supportive and adaptable as required. Always in control of changes occured and reassuring when needed

What a wonderful tour!
Many things:
1 - The wonderful and varied places we visited;
2 - The brilliant tour organiser and his very knowledgeable support (Amit Bhardwaj and Elvis) and all superb local guides in the several cities we visited;
Their quickly obtaining medical assistance for the few who required it for “tummy troubles”;
3 - Tremendous organisation of the local and intercity travel, road, rail and flights;
4 - Very good hotels throughout;
5 - excellent and a wide variation of local dishes at each hotel and mid-travel stops;
6 - The friendly Indian people we encountered along the way;
7 - Lasting memories;
8 - A brilliant friendly group to tour with.

We have been using Mercury holidays for…
We have been using Mercury holidays for over 20 years, we've been to Australia, Japan, and many Holiday in Malta. We are due to go to Malta before the end of this year and have already booked for next year. The information is clear and we have had no problems over the years.
